Immanuel Christian School is a wonderful school. The education is top notch. The faculty are well-trained, dedicated, and clearly love what they do. The environment is warm, supportive, and focuses both on academics but equally on building Christian character. Every single thing about the school is extremely well organized. Students graduate over-prepared (in a great way) for high school from both an academic and a personal character standpoint. I admire everything about ICS.

Immanuel is an excellent school that provides a nurturing Christian grounded learning environment where teachers focus on supporting and developing the students. We were new to the DMV area having relocated from overseas. After a year of performing below her normal in another school we knew our daughter needed a change. God led us to Immanuel while searching online. It was the best decision. She is doing very well, she has great teachers and she loves her school.

This is our third year at Immanuel Christian School, and our daughter is thriving. Academics and extracurriculars are excellent. The teachers inspire their students to do their best everyday, and the students feel welcome, safe and loved and are kind to each other. I love watching the kids enter and leave school each day smiling! What a difference it makes when teachers, staff, administrators, students and parents all partner together to educate and shape the next generation of Christian leaders! There's a wonderful energy to this school that I haven't seen in other local schools. Put it at the top of your list if you're exploring a K-8 school.

I went to ICS in the 90s. I wish life were still that easy! I miss this school, and especially Ms. McCoy!

This Blue Ribbon School has been an excellent choice for our family. ICS cares about the each student's academic and spiritual learning experience. The teacher retention rate speaks volumes. Their hearts are in their classroom. The CIA program (Character in Action!) allows the kids to participate at grade appropriate activities for the students to put their faith in action (planting trees at the community park, washing fire trucks with the fire department, sorting food at the food bank or building relationships with the elderly in retirement homes.) My son's passion for WWII history came to life when he became a "buddy" with a veteran. Besides the PE programs, ICS offers spring and fall sports programs helping kids stay physically fit, learn good sportsmanship, and be team players. They are inspiring these kids-mind, body and spirit to live their lives purposefully to be the best they can be to the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ.

We moved from overseas and shortlisted ICS from 40 schools in the region. At our first visit to the school after enrollment a teacher explained to our children that they had been waiting for them, and praying for our move. This made a huge difference in our children's transition. We felt immediately welcome and are very blessed to be here.

Awesome School. The teachers are thoughtful, kind and listen. Our 5 year old is learning quickly through their pro-active smaller class size teaching approach.

We have had children attending Immanuel Christian School since 2004. We attend a church other than Immanuel Bible Church. When we visited in 2003 we were impressed with the facility, the staff and the sense of community. We chose it because 1) they reinforce the Judeo-Christian values that we are teaching at home 2) God is welcomed in the classroom and in all activities, including sports, 3) it is purposeful and academically challenges our children 4) there is a great parental support system 5) there is a uniform and dress code 6) and it is close to both home and work. Our boys upon finishing 8th grade are prepared for high school both academically and spiritually. They have friendships worthy of lasting a life-time. Teachers who have invested in them personally and were found worthy of respect. This is the best school for our children and our family. I have nearly 10 years of great experiences to share, but you need to visit for yourself and determine that this is the flock for your children to join. The shepherds here are faithful and follow the Great Shepherd. What a great adventure is offered at Immanuel Christian School.

We love ICS! The faculty and staff care about our child's growth, more than just academically, but also spiritually and emotionally. We love that every class participates in Serve-a-thon and put their "character in action"! The teachers are always pointing the students towards Christ and His love for them. Everything that is done, is done with excellence. What a privilege to attend a Blue Ribbon school, too!

We are so thankful for ICS. It is not only a top notch academic school, but a warm, nourishing environment where our children can grow in wisdom and character. It is evident that the teachers truly care about our children. My's son's 6th grade teacher wrote him a note over the summer only to encourage him in his walk with God. We are so grateful to all the staff at this wonderful school!
