Dear ikea

Dear ikea

Today I am out of the store with my training dog just today. I was approached by 3 different employees concerning the fact that my assistance dog was not in the shop. 2 employees told that it is a service dog in training. in the shop gave us immediately to leave the store and we absolutely could not go further I also told Mrs. that the dog (LABRADOODLE) is in training.
I indicated that the papers are at home

And when she is Mrs. Well, you can not go into the store.

How long do you have to walk in a store before you...

How long do you have to walk in a store before you are on the right shelf? I hate it when a store decides where to go to find the good article and then first to walk upstairs and then immediately have to take the stairs down again. Do you never see a map in this shop but only a list where you still have to go to? If a supermarket would do this then he would soon be bankrupt.

IKEA is always fun, of course. Even in Corona time and with very limited options for food and drink. Shoppers have trouble keeping to the distance. What is annoying is that half of what we wanted was not in stock (check the store stock at home!) Furthermore, especially from this time that the staff speak English, but that means that there are employees who do not speak / understand Dutch. really customer friendly.

What an incredible maze here! Poorly indicated how...

What an incredible maze here! Poorly indicated how to walk the routes. Very good search for 'loose' staff to ask something. Once found, they know no answer to the questions. Then I walked all the way down to customer service, where you also have to pull a receipt to wait for your turn. A digital sign behind the cash registers keeps track of how long you have to wait. Unfortunately, the promised 3 minutes became 21 ... And back up again and searching again for all the secret niches, piercing and shortcuts.

Everything in stock is happy. Long lines behind 4 cash registers and that at 14:00.
Never go here again.

Of course the IKEA experience is a global phenomen...

Of course the IKEA experience is a global phenomenon. It's the same everywhere.
One issue though: at the service desk we had to wait about one hour before we could return an item.
It seemed this was no fluke: the waiting area is designed to have this waiting capacity.
It seemed this service process is not LEAN at all. The employees were constantly busy with administration and walking around with single items. It seemed unorganized and inefficient.
One thing though: the employee that eventually helped us (710429) was very friendly!

The store itself is fine. The restaurant is fine.
The products are good.

Ikea was Ikea like Always. You will always find so...

Ikea was Ikea like Always. You will always find something to buy. But one very annoying point was downstairs where to buy hot dogs and other food and drinks. There were two rows but nothing went further. Nobody understood what happened and both rows were complaining and giving bad comments and the customers in front of me were not buying a lot of Things.....one guy Said: that it was a huge commitment to the food....

The shops/showrooms are always of the same high standard as everywhere else. As ever, the staff are friendly and happy to help.
But, why can't they have almond or at least soya milk in the cafeteria for gluten free coffee?
Otherwise a big like.

I understand very well that you do not pay the mai...

I understand very well that you do not pay the main prize for Ikea and that things sometimes go wrong. We had a loose veneer and of course went back (one day after purchase). In itself it was fairly easy to exchange after some complaining about the lack of the packaging. The lady in question said no good day, did not answer, said little anyway. The rest of the staff present seemed to have the same attitude. Now I (also) understand that you do not have a top salary at the Ikea but it is sooo easy to be friendly and especially to show understanding that I also go to the blue and yellow hell again (I think the whole concept is hopeless but once married; - )) must to exchange some. So, raise the corners of your mouth and apply what you have learned in the course. It really works!

It's still a great shopping system. I visit very little and then walk through the entire store and I find that quite tiring. it would be nice if you could only go to the right department so that you don't have to walk all over the store (but maybe you don't have to and we are the only ones who do that).

Very poor service. Paula sends you from the cupboard to the wall in the cupboard department. When something didn't work, I was 'just unlucky' and we had to figure it out ourselves. When we indicated that we wanted to order the cupboard, after we had spent almost half an hour arranging everything, we were suddenly able to be helped immediately. We then collected all the goods from the external warehouse, but apparently then things were ordered that do not belong to this cupboard. Service downright dramatic in this shop.

Visiting IKEA is always pleasant. And is that the ...

Visiting IKEA is always pleasant. And is that the main attraction of this Swedish brand are their prices and their designs.
Accessible for the great majority present us with modern and fun ideas.
Of course we must accept that the quality of the materials used in the manufacture of furniture is regular and goes from the agglomerate and plastics, to wood and stainless steel.
However, I like it because it offers a wide variety of products at a very affordable price.

An Ikea with two locations to buy your things. Sort out in the showroom and pick up the kitchen cupboard 1.2 km away. "One then you are walking and dependent on public transport and you come to the pickup location and there is no solution to transport the kitchen unit. Fortunately there was a colleague customer who wanted to bring me back to the showroom location. I could handle the heavy stuff then just put it in the parking garage against the wall and then quickly buy a wire cart.Then on the way back to the Amstel.The whole hassle was that the Flex taxi that I depend on was no longer running.A shuttle and small means of transport can go here offer solutions.

Restaurant, they have disposed of tray carrier. Laundry with 2 children, baby carriage and wife. 3 trays with food. So that is no longer possible. I only put 1 tray on the pram (salads) and my wife also 1 tray. At the turn of the counter she had to walk back for the other tray somewhere in the restaurant. Then found a seat again walk back to the register for the last tray. It was therefore not a good idea to remove tray holders. Unless the employees walk with your tray. I actually think all employees in the store should also be in the restaurants. That is an idea
