iidon Security Associates Review

My dad died on the eastcoast. I had to go home & handle legal issues as well as funeral details. They only allowed me 3 days only. No compassion. I was force to resign due to thi s family matter.

This is not a good company to work for or to use as your protective services. The Hr department will not have your back at all as an iidon employee. They are all about the money and they don t pay their employees half of what the job is worth. You are no one to them. They are all about the look and customer service. I repeat this is not a good company to work for or use as protective services. If you hire iidon know that you must be ready to protect yourself. Because the employees don t want to put their life and safety in jeopardy for a company who doesnt give a damn about them. Keep this in mind!!

Company is highly unprofessional larry spencer is the most disrespectful egomaniac ive ever met. Cluadia Valdez the hr director doesn't fully investigate when its in the employees interest and they will play money games...
Any ambitious individual looking for opportunities dont waste your energy u can get a suit and be on stage for yourself.

I was with this company for awhile I did put in my 2 weeks and then eventually came back on board with them, so while working their I recently got a promotion as a assistant director and was in training, I was in charge of all the officers, and had to learn a lot by myself so one day I had a problem with one of the employees who left their post and was being very unprofessional, I told her she is not supposed to do that and it kept on getting worse so I made a report on her and all of a sudden I get called into HR saying I was using harsh communication to all the officers which is bull and also not following chain of command which is also a lie they didn't bother to take my side of the story, after all I have done for the company and fired me no verbal no written just termination, so if you decide to work for the company don't bother becoming a manager or higher because they will fire you for one mistake and it's crazy.

Iidon wanted me to come in and waste my gas " no reimbursement" and my time when my time is dictated by God alone, just to tell me why I'm not allowed to come back to work. learning experience for beginners is okay entering the security career as in kids from Job Corps. Ex " supervisor " Ms. Rogers and Miss. Raven supervisor must realize that the only one who gets to dictate my schedule and my life is Christ therefore there's a reason why God put man in charge Adam and the women did house work. Women don't know when to stop there non sense as for men black and white answers not a lot of chit chat... Iidon is not a good job for you if you are a GOD-FEARING independent man.

I can say ALOT about working in security over the years but the best help i can give anyone is do not settle and do not take the easy way out just because security jobs are easy to get its a trap. Working at this company made me finally see that. You can be a almost flawless employee who works hard and almost always earlier or on time and even work beyond your regular hours but that doesn't matter at all to them because either they dont know or pay attention to know that or when your name comes up in something negative or accused of something they wont care about you and your life and even if your track record is clean and good that doesnt matter you will be finished. They only care about their numbers and money and self and will see you as a bad person without knowing you or knowing all the facts and details from ALL the sides and big picture. If someone says something about you good or bad they take that and run with it without knowing if its completely true.

Its more to it all but im not trying wrote a book. My main point is most if not all security companies are slave jobs and doggone near sweat shops. Unless you can stay to yourself be quiet dont worry about talking to people and trying make friends and just worry about doing your job and doing right and take care yourself then i truly warn you stay away from this and any private security company not named g4s,allied universal, and inhouse security. If you really want to do better then like i am finally going to do is get out security and get in something worthwhile and potentially promising like get a cdl lincense or hvac certification or maybe warehousing or anything that dont treat you like you in the military but with their own dumb rules and expectations and of you not allow to do this or that if its not illegal or harmful and personal.
Im trying to tell yall if you dont want to go though all the mess and belittling and no peace or distrust that will come with being in security then heed my warning or else be ready to regret taking this job just to get money thats not alot for what you will go through to eventually be gone one way or another if you dont want instability.

I've had a great experience working for this company. I do my job, never late and I treat everyone the way I want to be treated. They pay on time, and do not charge for uniforms. Well, you have to be with the company for 6 months or longer. I'm training to become a supervisor.

Do not I repeat do not work for this company. 1St off during the orientation they lie to you and tell you if are with the company 6 months or more they sorry ass uniform is yours. I was with the company for a total of 9 months. I put in a 2 weeks notice, but this sorry company refuse to give me my last check because I didn't turn in my uniform They was suppose to be mine, we were suppose to get a rise a few months ago that never happend, they are very unorganized. I really hate this company one of the worst ones I have ever worked for.

I currently work for them the hiring process was professional and quick.. They have very professional post and the pay is decent. I'll add the last star when I've been with them a little longer.

This company is a JOKE friggin Bob today didn't want to give me the size that I wear ( Small ) and he insisted on giving me the ( medium size ) and it's way too large for me so I ended up leaving, after wasting a full week with these clowns and not getting paid , this is the worst company , do go and waste your time there

Great company to work for! Just started with iidon and the staff is very professional. Went through extensive training that was very thorough in covering all the ins and outs of the position. Communication has been very clear and the work environment is healthy.

If I could give less Stars I would. To summarize my experience with iidon would be don't worry about training they'll not teach you anything accept how to sign your name. When it comes to supervisors Larry Spencer will not listen to a single complaint about your building or building security supervisor no matter the incompetence. It will actually aggravate him and he might go hulk on you. Just for letting him know you're supervisor is incompetent continuously coming in 15-30min late and is constantly requesting OT from you without warning. Now comes my favorite part my text in between me and my supervisor of the location I was working. I worked for the company for 11 months and they sacked me because its easier to replace an officer then a supervisor..
little background I work thurs-sunday 3rd shift 10x4 I was going to cover monday night for them, text messages began at sunday night into monday morning.
SS- "Hey Austin I don't know if we talked about tomorrow night but don't worry about it it's going to be covered."

Me- "Ok."

SS- "Austin text me or call me when you get a chance"
SS- " I need to see if you can work an extra day and i have to switch one of your days this week.

Me- " I can't just switch one of my days so suddenly. After offering to take last nights shift so recently and having it taken right back away from me, I've kinda learned my lesson for a few weeks."

SS- "Austin you don't up learned my lesson several times. Especially when these ( i think he meant niece ) got here from annapolis and I could not see her on Christmas."
( yes I was confused as well just trying to stay original to the text)

Me- "What?, I'm just saying I'm not going to be able to do that Sean I'm sorry."

SS- "My niece came in from Annapolis I could not see her during the Christmas holidays or spend time with her I only got to spend four hours with her & i raised her."

SS- " Can I feel you cuzthe for hours that I spent with her we're here at this building*** " ( yea he did text me that yet I was the one getting sacked..)
SS- " Now this is what I need I need you to swap your Thursday so you can eaither have wednesdat or tonight and if you want an extra day you can work both" ( again copy paste sends msg 3x to me)
SS- "Okay do you can't come in tonight or Wednesday correct

Me- " Mr ****** you're my manager. You're trying to use your own personal family matters to persuade me. I am not scheduled nor was I on those those nights. I have already refused and explained why."

SS- "Thanks Austin I will handle us accordingly"

3 days later I attempt to show up for work getting a call from larry blunting telling me to contact HR and do not show up to work.. He would not answer any questions. After setting up an appointment with HR Claudia claims she's done a full investigation of your account yet she only looks 5 days back and they nit picked me on a system they never trained me for.. Also don't forget supervisors don't do patrols with iidon Lol you're welcome future clients.

I came back to work for iidon. They are good to me.

I've been with this company going on 3 years. Most of the bad reviews I see are from most likely disgruntled ex- employees. In the 3 years I have seen promotion from within the company to coworkers who worked hard and did their jobs excellently. Myself being a hard worker received a great promotion. My ops manager is very helpful. Great place to work.

This is a horrible company to work for. Operation manager's Flirt with female officer's, and when they illegally take over contract's, Op mangers parking lot watch you and harass you til you either quit or get fired for some stupid reason they find or make up. Larry Spencer is a joke, along with the company.

If I could give a 5 stars I wouldn't I was called in for a interview with Quintion Ray Supervisor immediately started being extra friendly in the interview I was bnb only given 1 pair of pants and 5 shirts once I was assigned to my post I was only givin a 30 minute training session and I basically had to recall my previous security experience. No phone to call in no post orders jo keys to the doors of property nothing everytime you call and reach out to Mr.Ray he never answers the phone not even reply to a simple text message. With no break room no microwave no refrigerator nothing I asked could I go into the hospital to get food since the build had nothing to accommodate me for lunch that I had to work through so I sat in my car to still be able to watch the guest coming in to the doors. There where ppl who was caught sleeping at work ppl who arrived late to work all kept their job they even got loved to other post. I was told to come in to the office for a meeting and once I got there I was told to write a statement about my experience at the location and once done I was told I was fired and he had no where for me to go when I'm getting now hiring message from indeed so I know he had somewhere to put me. The pay was pretty decent but the management is trash Ray will hit on you knowing he is married and he dont care about his employees. I asked for a copy of my release form and I was not provided with one and was told I couldn't get a copy very unprofessional. I wouldn't pass bv this job on to anyone. Even his managers use their authority to try and make ppl quit or use their management status to make ppl lies bad. Zero stars but I loved the tents in my building I will visit them again but Iidion can go to hell and Quintion Ray

I've worked at Iidon for nearly two years. Stable 40 hours, plenty of opportunity to move up. Those who treat others right and have work ethic do well, those who don't quit or get fired and then leave a bad review.

This company sucks. They have high expectations for low pay. Paycheck issues. Racist company

Awesomen place to work. I got myself fired. I currently work for an awesome security company. Its not micro managed, it pays more, and the Client pays for our benefits. Iidon is more professional. I miss the company inspite of...everyone in the office.

Very stressful place when you have non professional directors that degrade their officers, curse them, openly shame them, and even talk about dreams of fighting and hurting them, looks for the timid officers to bully. I personally saw the emails, heard as well as watched these events occure. The only company I've ever known to promote an officer after initiating a fight with another officer on property, ignores officers complaints.

Great security company. Very generous in issuing uniforms at no cost to employees including jacket windbreaker plus shoes and beenie. Great staff.

Been with iidon going on two years . The lack of communication, organization and professionalism is what's going to lose all the Houston contracts. No one in the office know what they're doing . They fired everyone I started with once the "new" operations manager got hired on . It's a total mess in Houston ! I wish I could have worked longer but I really don't want any dealings with a company so terrible . So, today I put in my 2 weeks resignation. IIDON just lost a loyal employee ! I just hope corporate realizes before it's too late that iidon isnt what it use to be before they got rid of Mr.Tim.

Great Company to work for. When I started, I had never been in the security industry. My intention was to be here a very short period. Now it's 8 years later and I still enjoy working for the company. As a matter of fact, it s has gotten better. There are several attributes I can list but there are two that stand out. First: The owner direct involvement with the appearance of the officers. He believes the officers "appearance" should add value to the property. Second: The owner believes all officers pay is a priority. If there is a payroll concern the staff will correct it that day in most cases! Over my tenure I know this to be true in many occasions.

If you're looking for a security company that is fair and consistent, will recognize your talents, develop and promo you, this is the company. If you're seeking a full-time position in security, with a Class A security company, iidon has a spot for you.

This company is not a good company, to work for you cqn work all year long and miss your vacation by 16 hours a bs time..
