The terminal here used to be really nice with a large cafe, restaurants and souvenir shops. So there was enough to keep you occupied while you waited for your ferry. Over a year ago some idiot decided to change all that and there is nothing there now. The toilets are filthy also. If you find yourself waiting here walk a few hundred metres into town where you will plenty of nice cafes and restaurants
A GREAT UNKNOWN experience. Ferries with wooden paws are still traveling. On most ferries there are bad weather conditions. It's generally sleeping everywhere in every way.
There are so many old ferries that we could only get to the middle of the road in a night trip to Barry. Then we returned a few hours with one engine. The second attempt was on a modern ferry.

Excellent facilities for boarding ferry services to all over Europe. Very beautiful place surrounded by mountains on three sides and sea on one side.
Ferries from Greece to the islands or mainland Italy. The choice is yours. Brindisi for me that time. I enjoyed the longish wait for the ferry to dock (I can't plan ahead to a timetable, so it's catch as catch can for me) by touring around a bit, exploring the town, relaxing over coffee and brandy in a local bar/cafe (see elsewhere) and enjoying the occasional sunshine. Humugous lorry park, which you may have to negotiate if they change the ferry dock on you.

Boarding a ferry to Venice, the journey started here. Staff all pleasant and spoke in English as well as Greek. Passengers have to get out of the car and walk through passport control ( while the driver and car go through a seperate route.) There is a cafe and small shop with duty free goods in the terminal. Well organised and no problems boarding the correct ferry!
It could be a nice facility but, unfortunately, like everything in Greece, it s poorly managed, poorly maintained, and dirty.
I am baffled reading posts of people complaining about the controls, who complains because he can not charge the smartphones. I would like to remind you that it is a border post, with thousands of daily difficulties, starting from illegal immigrants trying to board hiding in trucks. The Place will not be just beautiful, but deserves at least 4 stars for the commitment given by those who guarantee our security.

We were in motion and the passenger imposed a useless check of the baggage even knowing that there were three other suitcases on the bike. I went from the metal detector with a belt, watches and bracelets without sounding. It is raining inside the passenger station, there are no taps for sharing, there is no transfer to the piers ... We have to walk 500 meters under the heavy rain. It also has no place to sit when you are outdoors.

A truly large and spacious port. The organization ... is obviously Greek but you can say that you can get away with it. Ships are often late, not just. The shops inside are quite sad and expensive. Relatively clean even though people do everything to keep it. The restaurant that was there a few years ago is no longer there. Abandoned dogs everywhere and not enough parking lots in the high season (from mid-July to the end of August and beyond) you have to look for parking in remote, unpaved roads or along the roadside, where you risk the sides with a camper. In general it is good. Well lit even in the evening with the relative indications. You certainly won't get lost in the harbor.

Total chaos, booked online ticket but have to wait 1h+ to check-in. Streets fully blocked, police tried to handle the traffic. Crazy, this is not an one time event. This is just very bad managed.... Really wondering why others were able to rate it that high.
Let's say that the evaluation depends entirely on what you have to do: in my case I only arrived at the port in a very large square and therefore the restart by bike was not disturbed by the many trucks. I didn't enter the facility but from the outside it looked quite modern and decent.
In Igoumenitsa one of the most important ports of Greece. Several times a day ferries go to Italy, Fr. Corfu, in Athens.
The terminal and the management of a major port are reminiscent of the airport terminal. Level Services. The quality of signboards should be improved. The environment of the harbor outside the air-conditioned hall acts as a hot furnace on hot summer days. It would help more green.

Unfortunately, there is too little roofing, so you have to wait under the hot sun for the unloading of the ship. Also, the toilets are awfully dirty. On the ground, a stall that would sell cold drinking water for cooling would have been very good. We stood with my children for half an hour, until my husband finally came by car from the ship.
Found and quiet harbor. They close at 1am tonight so if you are traveling by boat need be before 1am.

Staff unfriendly and uncaring the Greeks are like that, they live in a world of their own in their being closed
Very friendly staff !!! Had a mobility problems, and was allowed to park directly in front of the ferry, was even led by a Mofafahrer to the landing. If you point out "problems" when booking, (advanced pregnancy is one of them), people will do their best to make the journey easier for the passengers.
For many years I use this port for my job... Through these years, this, expanded more and more and became one of the most important ports in South Europe... Of course, that's because of the Egnatia Road a very good and contemporary motorway we use to go to this Port, but, They work in conjunction to fulfill their cause together..
It is a ferry terminal - a bit like an airport in that, it just does what is says on the box. Nothing special about it at all, just got to spend your time here until it s time to get on the boat.
So at check in they forgot to tell us that the entrance to the port by car is allowed only to the driver.

It is one of the worse ports I have ever been. Stupid queues everywhere and completely disorganized.
It was always a port of passage that made me convenient to disembark and then continue my journey by land. As a port it is not great and I found the scenes of the illegal immigrants who tried to dodge the local police to embark on the ships that reached Italy, with all the inconveniences that this entailed for us others ...
