Great selection for the size of the store. Friendl...
Great selection for the size of the store. Friendly staff.
Great selection for the size of the store. Friendly staff.
Well stocked, great quality, good prices & so very convenient
It's not perfect..
But it has things on special, and the staff a really nice!
Thank the good lord they still have free plastic bags like a normal supermarket.
The staff are very helpful. The duty manager is always reminding me to ask any of his staff for assistance should I require it given my physical disability. I find that very thoughtful and respectful. The only improvement I think IGA Newtown could make is to offer free trolley for the disabled, elderly and shoppers with babies and young children. It overcomes the specific challenges of these group of shoppers.
I go there 3 times a week it is quite expensive the rare specials are a bargain but its $7.50 for a 120g box of nutri-grain that's one bowl for a teen boy. I can get 2 Xlarge boxes 500 gms of a very similar cereal with less sugar for $7.00
Honestly the most over priced supermarket you can find. What a pity. I wonder how they stay open. Avoid.
IGA Newtown has a very large and diverse range of products at the exceptionally well prices.
It is large the arms are long it is easy to navigate and the staff are professional and friendly and know where all products are and are willing to be of assistance with a smile.
You will often find as you enter an IGA store their weekly specials in a magazine style format to inform you of products that have been marked down location and prices.
Great place to shop as it is Never Fully crowded and the time to enter the store find your products and pay at the register and leave is far quicker than the traditional Coles and Woolworths.
A checkout person at IGA once said to me that "you white c*nts are all the same". So now I tend to avoid this place like the plague.
It's tight, it's packed and it's on the move. Small spaced supermarket, small Isles. But the staff do a good job of keeping things neat and well sorted. Great range of contemporary and everyday products. Small council carpark behind store. One can usually find a spot, but you have to pay.
Good service, the occasional cutie at the register!
Best IGA in Sydney very well done great thing good food very easy to shop
Nice education and co workers communication so good. Impressed happily envy ;)
Excellent location! They also have organic produce available.
Open late, but expensive for fresh foods. Freezing cold inside always. its OK. Staff are friendly.
Not good. IGA Newtown has increased the prices on everything. The prices are even more expensive than advertised in the IGA catalogue. Shame on you. If you want the locals to support you then you should support the locals.
Always seems to have what you need at a very modest price with great staff to boot.
The staff are friendly and professional. There are specials and good variety of items
Really small supermarket but has everything you will need
They need more people at the counter because its slow a f when there's only two people serving you. I expect to be gone in 2 mins but I'm here waiting for 10 mins
OK prices, OK variety, I would love to see an improvement in customer service, a lot of employees don't know where or what their stock is
$25 for 500ml hand sanitiser. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Why is the price hand written??? Why not use the offical iga price tag? Worst of the worst right here. Stay away
Good range of products and specials. Open until late. Vegan and vegetarian friendly groceries available.
Great food great prices and friendly staff and I even don t mind the beggers our the front
Most IGA's in Sydney are overpriced and very ordinary and this store is no exception.
Extremely rude staff!
I don t even know why I keep going back, today was the last time.
Had one of the staff run a trolley full of boxes into me while I was choosing cheese. It almost ran over my foot, I had to step back quickly, ran into the shelf and scratched my back. Didn t get a single word out of the guy, not even an apology. Just a unhappy look get out of my way . I didn t even hear him coming!
Disgusting behaviour.
Great selection of products, reasonable prices friendly staff.
Great staff - friendly and polite. Stocking is a bit hit and miss. They really need to clear out the clutter from the aisles though - there are way too many chokepoints in the store created by random promotional displays smack in the middle of high-traffic areas of the stores with (necessarily) already quite narrow aisles.
Nice Supermarket. Good selection but prices are more higher than coles and woolworths.
Gr8 store for those grocery items for tea that are still in the freezer or top up on the goodies for the week
One girl was working hard and 2 others girl just talking to each other
I always used to visit this store when I used to live in Newtown. It's small yet has a highly competitive price than Foodworks near the Newtown Train Station. Though availability of products are limited and their price compared to the big giants Coles and Woolies is a bit dare, the only reason I like about this place is their cheerful checkout staffs.
Wasn't very happy with there fresh vegetables tomatoes were all rotten
They let me carry my puppy around inside the shop. Or maybe they didn't see him. He is pretty small.
Not a bad IGA. Staff are pretty friendly and selection is pretty good
The only sizable grocery store in Newtown. Conveniently located on the main King Street. While the store is not that big, they managed to put in every necessities for the consumers.
Good range of products, hoping soon they will stock more healthy icecream brands such as fitlato, gym boy icecream, fropro, tillys etc.
Not the best place for fruit or vegetables as the front of the store is not kept cold enough... OK for a quick top up
A convenient, small supermarket with friendly and helpful staff in the middle of busy King Street.
Great for last minute shopping, fruit and veges are a bit expensive though
Expensive for a super market, cheap for a corner store
Really convenient but loses a star because it's pretty pricey
good local shop, decent collection and fair price when on sale
I like to thank a friendly and kind shopper, who paid for my Orange and poppy seed cake on the 24th of Aug evening around 6pm. I just remember that forgot my wallet at home until I was ready to pay. And this wonderful lady stepped in and paid for me. I like to give you my sincere gratitude, I want to pay you back if you read this message. I am thankful for your kind gesture.
