The staff are very helpful. The duty manager is always reminding me to ask any of his staff for assistance should I require it given my physical disability. I find that very thoughtful and respectful. The only improvement I think IGA Newtown could make is to offer free trolley for the disabled, elderly and shoppers with babies and young children. It overcomes the specific challenges of these group of shoppers.

I go there 3 times a week it is quite expensive the rare specials are a bargain but its $7.50 for a 120g box of nutri-grain that's one bowl for a teen boy. I can get 2 Xlarge boxes 500 gms of a very similar cereal with less sugar for $7.00

IGA Newtown has a very large and diverse range of products at the exceptionally well prices.

It is large the arms are long it is easy to navigate and the staff are professional and friendly and know where all products are and are willing to be of assistance with a smile.

You will often find as you enter an IGA store their weekly specials in a magazine style format to inform you of products that have been marked down location and prices.

Great place to shop as it is Never Fully crowded and the time to enter the store find your products and pay at the register and leave is far quicker than the traditional Coles and Woolworths.

It's tight, it's packed and it's on the move. Small spaced supermarket, small Isles. But the staff do a good job of keeping things neat and well sorted. Great range of contemporary and everyday products. Small council carpark behind store. One can usually find a spot, but you have to pay.

Not good. IGA Newtown has increased the prices on everything. The prices are even more expensive than advertised in the IGA catalogue. Shame on you. If you want the locals to support you then you should support the locals.

Extremely rude staff!

Extremely rude staff!
I don t even know why I keep going back, today was the last time.
Had one of the staff run a trolley full of boxes into me while I was choosing cheese. It almost ran over my foot, I had to step back quickly, ran into the shelf and scratched my back. Didn t get a single word out of the guy, not even an apology. Just a unhappy look get out of my way . I didn t even hear him coming!
Disgusting behaviour.

Great staff - friendly and polite. Stocking is a bit hit and miss. They really need to clear out the clutter from the aisles though - there are way too many chokepoints in the store created by random promotional displays smack in the middle of high-traffic areas of the stores with (necessarily) already quite narrow aisles.

I always used to visit this store when I used to live in Newtown. It's small yet has a highly competitive price than Foodworks near the Newtown Train Station. Though availability of products are limited and their price compared to the big giants Coles and Woolies is a bit dare, the only reason I like about this place is their cheerful checkout staffs.

I like to thank a friendly and kind shopper, who paid for my Orange and poppy seed cake on the 24th of Aug evening around 6pm. I just remember that forgot my wallet at home until I was ready to pay. And this wonderful lady stepped in and paid for me. I like to give you my sincere gratitude, I want to pay you back if you read this message. I am thankful for your kind gesture.
