Evil empire. Enter and lose a significant period of time out of your life and a piece of your self too. You can walk around in circles for hours without any chance of feeling anything other than the emptiness mirrored from the environment and the gentle, trickling, oozing of your mind melting as you become one of the many mindless compulsive consumers of soul destroying and mind numbing products that you need to ensure that you remain unthinking and unfeeling. A multitude of items (for which you will have no real need save for filling the empty hole created by the suggestion that not having them has left you in some way insufficient, undesirable, unlovable, untolerable or some other variation on the negative view of you propagated by organisations and individuals dependant on you believing the bile view of you that they sell) are available for you to increase your levels of debt and to increase your sense of unfulfilled-ness about life therefore maintaining the need for local councils to green light more projects to destroy city centres and ensure that the local population shelter from the decaying, depressing, detritus and drug-paraphernalia filled streets within.

Although it can be a nightmare when it's busy, Intu has everything you could need under one roof. Everything's modern and brilliant quality and it's right in the city center and by the bus station for easy access.

First visit to Byron. Needed a quick bite to eat and we were happy with the result. Burgers were good, fries excellent, staff friendly and helpful. The beers were a bit expensive but a good selection. We will go again.

Nice

Lovely big shopping and leisure area in the middle of Derby. It has ample, multistorey car parking and a variety of small shops and large stores. It contains a theatre, cinema,restaurants with casinos, hotels etc. Nearby. You could spend hours here just milling about so be warned!

Intu is a modern shopping centre in the middle of Derby which has a market attached to it. The market is not very big and has few stalls but is worth a browse. Intu itself has good access features with lifts and rolling stairs up and down. The eating hall located on the top floor first floor when busy is a bit of a access nightmare and many of the staff there are disappointedly ignorant of sight difficulties. The narrow spaces between tables can be a nuisance. The lighting is very bright or hardly light so watch out for that! Staff are friendly but not always available when you need them. A warning is that if you exit toward the church end there are persons of dubious character hanging around so avoid this entrance or exit!

Reasonable sized shopping centre in the centre of Derby.

Good range / selection of stores - lots seem to be closing down and they seem to be trying to replace them.

All the usual facilities you would expect and very accessible.

Food hall has plenty of choice and the attached cinema has plenty of good sized screens.

A+++

Great shopping, food etc but could do with some better signage in my opinion. It's often too busy for me, but if busy shopping malls are your thing then you can't too far wrong coming here for a mid-sized experience.

Good
