We purchased a complex in August 2015. The Manager selling had just received a five year top up from the Body Corporate and immediately marketed the complex. One can understand that the Body Corporate was going to feel very dubious about giving a new manager a second 5 year top up within a short space of time. We realised that there was a level of anger among the Owners Corporation as to how they had been treated by the previous Manager over the agreement extension.
Hynes Legal put out very good publications on various matters arising when one owns Management Rights. We, ourselves, have also been in the profession of Management Rights for some 23 years and have in the past negotiated very successfully with Body's Corporate for Management Rights extensions.
