Hyatt Regency Woodfield Schaumburg Review

Great hotel, recently remodeled rooms and public areas. Staff was great and very responsive. Convenient location for shopping and dining.

Overall they stay has been good. The room we stayed in was recently remodeled and nice. Breakfast was included and the salmon locks where delicious. Strange looking hotel from the outside and the layout inside can get you some exercise when finding your room. Located within a stone's throw of IKEA, a mall , and a sixty thousand acre nature preserve with real live elk. No free shuttle to Ohare but it's a 20 min drive. All in all not bad for 3.5 stars

Went there for an event. Didn't stay in the rooms, but the lobby and meeting rooms were nice.

This place does NOT live up to the Hyatt reputation. Loose tiles in the bathroom, bare minimum breakfast offering, no fresh fruit, halfway nuked frozen pancakes, plastic silverware, not enough plates or cups. The whole place was understaffed, the pool was out of service one of the days...I could go on and on. We've stayed at a lot of Hyatt Place hotels all over the Midwest and have grown to appreciate the brand, but this place does not live up to it's reputation.

Beautiful hotel, amazing view. Very accommodating hotel staff.

Nice room. Upgraded to the king room. No fridge, which is very disappointing. The shower is eh. The bathroom door cannot be opened or closed while sitting...

Lack of towels, had to wait 30 minutes for a drink at bar and had to help set the clock in room for them. Housecleaner must of been too busy

The conference rooms are spacious and provided a great atmosphere for the event we attended. Staff was friendly and professional.

It's Hyatt,their beds r comfy it was clean some what.when I woke up at night to use the rest room I saw a mouse running a little gray mouse with the longest tail u ever saw,I jumped on the couch it was 4 in the morning I called front desk and they didn't know what to do about that,I'm sorry my night with my husband was horrible and we had a meeting to go to at 6 am,I was flushed and surprised that Hyatt didn't offer me anything not even change rooms,the name Hyatt is not respected like it should be because of the way they treat their guests

The staff was amazing and accommodating especially Audrey at front Desk. The hotel has a confusing layout that made it difficult to navigate. The beds were so comfortable I did not want to get up!

This hotel was in a great location, was clean, comfortable, and the staff was friendly and accommodating! We stayed in a king room with a pull out sofa bed for the kids and it was prefect! We highly recommend this hotel! Thank you Hyatt Regency for a great stay!

It was a nice hotel to the price, but there were some problems. For instance, breakfast service did not keep up with people, and there was a cleaning smell in the hallways. Also, the shower curtain was not very good, and there clearly used to be a hot tub, but it was filled in.

I attended a social convention here where another convention was at the same time so the rooms and Halls were very crowded all the rooms did seem very clean and neatly kept

Interesting hotel. Lots of open space. The renovated top floor rooms are nice, but missing some touches (no toilet paper holder?). Nice place with on site car rentals.

Everything was pretty good. Good service and professional people. There isnt a free breakfast which i was surprised and not much activity there. They also charged 100 dollars more on my bill. I have emailed them and am figuring it is a hold.

Location was good. Disapointed that there was no fridge in the room. Wi-Fi was free and fast. Food is very expensive at the hotel.

Visited for Whinny City Pony Con, and hotel was a great little convention space. Outside definitely showed this was a Hyatt purchase, not a build, but it had plenty of parking.

However, customer service was a bit....lackluster. Poor room service was working hard to handle all the rooms, but we had to call two separate days to get towels. They took the old ones, but must have run out and forgotten about us.
Front desk agents (morning) certainly looked like they could use a cup of coffee...

Overall, nice hotel, and I look forward to being back next year.

I didn't stay here but upon visiting what I saw was spectacular... the bar and restaurant was very nice...

Workers were welcoming.. beds were a little too firm for my liking but they weren't uncomfortable

My stay was good. Room was a nice size but could have been a little cleaner. Tables were very dusty. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel was about 30 minutes from Chicago with pleantey of free parking. The breakfast buffet was very good with a nice variety of dishes

The hotel is conveniently located near shopping and food. The lobby is huge but they have Starbucks. I don't trust those elevators though, they make too much questionable noises, the door something does not close all the way, it looks like it was inspected a few months ago but they need to just be replaced in my opinion. The shower and sinks are nice and beds are comfortable. It isn't too loud, which is nice for relaxation. I haven't used the pool but it is outdoors and looks pretty big. They have a nice little court yard, rooms for special occasions and I believe a sauna and workout room. I would like to reiterate that they have Starbucks Coffee. Also a bar, I have not visited yet but definitely planning on it.

Great hotel location, for a 20 dollar breakfast you come to expect omelettes made to order, but is kind of just convenient selection.

Great location. Room and facilities are dated. Our room was dusty and not well cleaned. Bathroom is very small. Front desk employees not helpful with giving directions to our room.

I've stayed here on business trips multiple times. The hotel is ok. It has all amenities that you would expect. However some rooms do feel dated, and I've had a one bad experiences (had to move room due to Chicago Toy Soldier Show needing my room). The area is close to many nice restaurants and Woodfield Mall which is convenient.

This is the second year in a row we've attended an event here and this hotel has provided an excellent experience each time.

Every aspect of this hotel meets or exceeds expectations.

The staff is highly qualified, universally polite and courteous, and customer service oriented.

The Desk folks are helpful, thoughtful, and always greet you with a smile.

The pools are perfect; wifi top notch, and the atmosphere is highly desirable.

Unless you are an anal retentive prima donna, you'll really enjoy your stay here.

The location is superb with too many great restaurants to choose from. Oddly enough, there are an equal number of top notch fast food places for the budget conscious.

LOTS of issues with cleanliness. Several in our party had problems: from filthy bed sheets to bed bugs. Yuk!

Great hotel. Breakfast options were plentiful. The RAM, the restaurant next door, makes it nice to just stroll over for a good beer and dinner.

Beautiful lobby and nice rooms. Had a problem with my room keys and instead of moving me to another room they had me waiting in the hallway 20 mins and it took the repair guy 30 mins to fix it. Very frustrating. The breakfast was good.

The lobby is amazing, but the room we had was not that great. I reserved the king corner room and to my surprise the bathroom was the smallest thing I have ever seen. I was very disappointed because when i called the lady told me that was the best room they had. I would stay there again but I would have to have a room with a bigger bathroom.

Very nice hotel big rooms nice pool staff was awesome and very friendly. Rooms were very clean. Room service was pretty expensive but they all are. Only about 2 miles from our venue. All the cheerleaders stayed here. We got an awesome rate of $57.00 per night. The only thing was that there was no free hot breakfast with the lower rate but McDonalds was a few blocks away. And it was a pretty long walk from the parking lot to the room. But I'd stay here again very nice hotel.

Service at bar was slow. Ordered salad and it came out as we were ready to leave. Waitress telling us about another table being high maintenance. Unprofessional.

Hotel has nice meeting rooms and beautiful common areas. Location is very convenient. Rooms could use renovation, however, and look quite dated and worn.

I went there for the prom my school was housing and the venue treated us well as well as it had great commodities and staff

I haven't even stayed there because I can't get anyone on the phone. I keep being transferred to voice mail including when I dial 0 for the operator. I don't understand how anyone does business this way.

The front desk attendant was very friendly and welcoming. Room service helpfully provided plates for our snacks. The room was nice. The curtains let in a lot of light in the morning, though and it seemed like the lotion was mostly emptied by another guest.

Worst experience ever. The walls are paper thin so be prepared to here doors slam all night. When you are using the bathroom you can hear people in the hallway as if they were standing in there talking to you. Children running up and down the hallway screaming until midnight with 0 supervision. Finally, I was just about to get to sleep only to have a girl and a guy screaming at each other about her sleeping with this guys dad for hours. The parking is all in back, and if you go somewhere and come back at night, be prepared to drive around for an hour looking for a place to park. Also since parking is in the back you have to walk through the back, where the smoking area is. It smells like a giant ashtray out there. Also needed a second outlet by the bed, so we moved the nightstand to unplug the clock. Only to find no one has cleaned under there since dinosaurs walked the earth. All the surfaces where Dusty and filthy and the floor of the room is uneven. How that is possible I will never know. Avoid this place.

Wish I could give 2.5 stars. The staff were friendly and the hot water was great. The bed however was very uncomfortable, and I kept waking up with migraines from the pillows. There were four pillows on the bed, 2 flat and 2 super thick.

I knocked stars off because from day one until end of week, I became covered in these little red itchy dots. They are slowly going away. I'm not sure if it is allergic reaction to their sheets or bed bugs. I never saw bugs, but the dots do look like them.

Great look and feel to the rooms. Beds are comfortable and the service is excellent.

Pros: lobby is nice, location, staff friendly

Cons: beds are very sunken in and uncomfortable, pool was dirty with debris floating in it and no water/filter running at all. No hot tub. Pool area was outdated looking. We got put in an accessible room first and the water in the sink didn t drain, room smelled damp. switched rooms because of the bed but it wasn't much better. Seems like hotel should be much nicer for what they charge/how popular it seems to be. Not worth the money.

This is the hotel all other hotels in the Woodfield Mall area are judged by. This is the gold standard. The food is fantastic. The prices are reasonable. A very short walking distance for parking. What I really like is there's no wait time for the elevators. There are always taxis available here to get you to O'Hare and a car rental on premise. It is a perfect proximity to all restaurants on Golf Road and Woodfield Mall. Very easy access off all the major roads

Other Hyatt brands cost less and are a better value for the money.

A nice 4 star hotel. Big facility. Rooms have always been clean and staff is curtious. The pool is a little bit on the small side, the food was decent for hotel food and the location is close to the highway.

Really disappointed with this hotel. Rooms filthy had to move twice and then cleaners had ti6 come in and remove a layer of dust. Reception didn't seem concerned at all. Not what you expect from the Hyatt brand.

The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, the staff was friendly. We had a great quick stay.

Great halls and easy to navigate the hotel for events.

The location was close to the local attractions. I booked through hotwire so I was surprised with a suite room. The only problem I had was there was no microwave so you had to go to the dining area to warm up food. Also the bathroom shower area wasnt really modernized. The complimentary breakfast was one of the best I have had. The staff was very helpful with accommodating my every need. They even found matches so I could light my kids cake for his birthday. The pool was ok but the hottub was not working. I would stay here again if in Schaumburg area.

Big hotel. Rooms average. Small gym with an indoor pool.
Breakfast was below average for a Hyatt resort.
There is a coffee downstairs with reasonable options of snacks, sandwiches, coffees etc.
reception staff are very nice and friendly.
Location is also reasonable.

I just went there to pick up my rental car, as they have office inside the lobby.
