My wife and I spent four nights here from December 19-23. We stayed on the concierge level on the 8th floor. Highest floor is the 9th. We found the room and the concierge club to be above average, with lots of food and drink. We loved it. We also really liked the location, and the fact that there is a free shuttle stop just outside the front entrance. The parks adjacent to the hotel at fabulous. It only takes about 20 minutes to walk to the Bell Tower in the middle of the CBD. We love Perth!

Lovely food. We purchased off the menu for mains and the desert station from the buffet after was very enjoyabkr for $25pp.
The pool side is a great place to chill and swim and relax.
We are not high class or expensive spenders, but felt at home and not uncouth here.
Most things are reasonibly priced for where you are and the staff are friendly and helpful without making you feel like you should be more informed or more used to staying in a place like this.
Would recommend for a relaxing time in venue.

We checked in on the 24th October 2019 and experienced poor service on many levels.

1. Room we were assigned had chicken bones and food wrapped in the bin that were not cleared prior to our check in. Front desk responded quickly and offered a bottle of wine and a change of room but we declined. This is our first time in our travels. checking into a room which has not been cleaned thoroughly.

2. Had breakfast and there was confusion when we were ushered to our seats. One told us to wait while he had our tables cleared and another staff told us to not bother about what the other staff had said and just sit ourselves anywhere. When the 1st staff came back, he insisted we still sat on the table he had intended us to. So we were ushered from 1 table to another, back and forth and back.

3. Our toddler s birthday was on the 25th October and i had approached the front desk to ask if the hotel sold just a slice of cake. I was told to approach the lobby bar or I could go out and buy some myself, did not help or offer possible cake shops. When i approached the bar and asked if they sold a slice of cake, i was told by staff to look at the menu myself, and he pointed at the menu, then continued private conversation with his colleague.

4. Came back in the evening with my own slice of cake. Approached front desk if they could help with a matchbox or lighter because we needed to light a candle for a slice of cake(not to smoke). We were told by the lady that it is against hotel policy to light candles in the room but if we wanted some light, we could try our luck at concierge. They may or may not have it.

5. Decided to sit at lobby bar since it was against hotel policy to have a lit candle in the room. Wanted to order a drink while we were there but there was no one at the bar, when we managed to find a staff, he said he will be right back with us. However, quite a while went by and no one came back. We then decided to have our cake in the lobby. We were about to finish and leave within 10 mins when a supervisor named Roshan approached us and asked if we were hotel guests. We affirmed we were. He then proceeded to ask if this was ubar , i did not know what was ubar and he spelled it out u-b-a-r and asked how come i did not know about it. Also asked if my country did not have ubar, a food delivery service. It was then i figured out he was talking about Uber. I informed him that this was not from uber and we had brought it in ourselves. He then continued on, saying that it was against hotel policy to have outside food at the lobby and if we wanted, we could have ordered from the bar. To which i informed him, there was no one available for us to even make an order. He proceeded to inform me that someone had reported we had ordered from Uber and he even proceeded to take a look at what is in my paper bag - which had nothing in it anymore because we had finished the slice of cake.

I felt that this has been the worst service i had ever experienced in any hotel i have stayed in. Worst than 3* hotels in less developed countries. I had never stayed in a hotel where staff were so unhelpful and rude. It is completely alright to inform me of hotel policies which I may not be aware of e.g. no lighting of candles in rooms and i will definitely respect that. However, i felt completely insulted with Roshan questioning how come I had no idea what Ubar was(it is Uber, not U-B-A-R like Roshan had spelled and pronounced). He even checked my bags like he was working in airport security when clearly he had witnessed my toddler happily blowing her candles out.

I felt that the way your staff approached guests could be improved tremendously. All the experiences i have had definitely screams out to me that there are plenty of operational discord within the hotel. I had never experienced any of these at any hotels and it is definitely extremely disappointing and unexpected that this came from Hyatt.

There are many other hotel options within the area.

Quite disappointed.

Quite disappointed.
I am a Hyatt customer since years (Globalist since 7 years). I must say the Hyatt Perth is no where near the usual Hyatt standards.
Overall everything is old and worn down. In detail, what I have noticed:
- My room (I had a suite) was actually dirty. Found a couple of long hair on the floor
- The sauna, fitness and especially changing rooms are disgusting. Absolutely not clean. Partly moudly
- The Cafe (restaurant) also not really good. Waiter are totally overwhelmed. Waited 15 minutes to order. Asked for aioli for the fries, arrived when I already ate my fries.

Overall wont come here again. Would recommend the QT or the Ritz. Both a very nice

The hotel is very outdated and needs some refurbishment. Room service food sounded amazing, however the food delivered was below sub par. Although we wanted to make the most of it, the breakfast took over an hour despite asking the staff numerous times when our food was ready. The breaky was almost as sad as the hotels exterior. Not quite 5 star quality but at least the wine made up for some of it.

I have regularly visited the Cafe out the front (Lastrada) for breakfast/coffee/Lunch. Lovely staff and very reasonable food.
Meeting/convention rooms are large, if you opt for high end catering the food is very nice.
It can be a little confusing getting around the outside of it. *Beware* Parking underneath is pricey.

First time stay and it definitely delivered an outstanding service which the Hyatt Regency should be proud of as a brilliant example of how a 5 star hotel should be run. Thank you for giving me an experience I will be using as a benchmark for the next hotel I stay at.

Extremely noisy when allocated a room on 1st floor on the adelaide terrace side, ambient noise from foyer and road was loud and impacted sleep quality. The rooms are average, food was good, over all did not meet my expectations for a Hyatt hotel

Lovely location within free public transit zone of Perth. And short landscaped walk to Crown casino and restaurants. Buffet is great on the ground floor too. Rooftop swimming pool as well! And short flat stroll to the riverside. Adjacent to a large green park for walks or soaking sun. Playground nearby with shade sails if you have kids.

Nice to see that some refurbishment and updates are being done. All in all I had a pleasant stay. The only downside was during my 8 night stay, two nights in the restaurant had very slow service and it was fairly empty. If Hyatt continue to update and modernize the place it will be great.

Nice Hotel, a little too pricey

Nice Hotel, a little too pricey

Good location, just a little east of Perth CBD. You can easily reach the city centre by free bus, in a few minutes.
Room is ok, although it needs to be renewed a little. It is quite noisy, because the lounge/reception area is open and all noises go up to your door. The problem is that they often organize parties and events, making everything very noisy.
Wi-fi is complementary, and this is ridiculous in 2015, especially in a "young" city like Perth.
Private parking is available, at the cost of 24$ per day (which isn't cheap).

Nice pool and solarium.
Best hotel gym.

I would suggest the Asian restaurant downstairs, which was great.

Not too bad overall, just a bit overpriced.

Our children booked us in for our 46th Wedding Anniversary. We were upgraded and a bottle of wine on arrival. Scrumptious buffet brekky and lovely setting. Just that little extra touch of a choice of 2 iced waters at entrance coming off hot street was most welcome with lovely staff smiles We'll be back.

Very nice. A bit dated and old. But overall good value for a 5 star (that's not really a 5 star) stay. No in room dining menu, had to call and ask. Cobwebs above door. NOT near CBD vs other options. Small bathroom. Nevertheless ... a good stay. Great service. Interesting building. Nice bar and vibe in foyer. Cabs easy. Clean and good stay

An expensive 3 star hotel, I would have marked it 3 stars but that would give the opinion of"good".

It is in desperate need of some money spent on it.

Lastly, we had the buffet breakfast on Sunday, OMG, the executive chef must be so embarrassed. What was once and exceptional experience is now a 1 chef band, running out of food, dirty tables, untrained wait staff (most likely agency) and paint falling off the walls.

I was here getting work done during the Covid-19 pandemic. I was a guest here under the watchful eye of the government for 2 weeks whilst in quarantine.

The staff here make the difference. Yes the rooms are bright, clean, and lovely, however we have come to expect a great level of that from the Hyatt around the world. The staff... always smiling, always ready to listen to what you want, prompt room service. 2 weeks is a good indicator if they know what they are doing. This is the place I would recommend anyone stays when in Perth

Very well located, near the Swan river and quick access to the city center on foot or by free bus. Breakfast is excellent. The rooms are spacious, well equipped, the bathrooms are starting to date but still acceptable. Very attentive and efficient staff. A very good stay.
