Food and service was great .. everyone was so nice and catered to you. The hotel is beautiful .. the beach is basically private only can be reached by boat if you are not a guest. This was my first time staying here and will definitely be back !

The swim up bar was great! The whole hotel is very inviting and they consider your every comfort.

We have found the quality of food to be far above average for an all inclusive resort. For vegetarians they include a number of options at every meal at the buffet restaurant and will customize orders as requested at the other meno only restaurants. The hotel boasts the best private beach in Puerto Vallarta with natural cliff barriers at either end and minimal beach vendors who are respectful and unobtrusive. Every room option is oceanfront and the sound of waves lull one to sleep. The resort does a fair amount of wedding volume so expect weekends and some weekdays to have certain areas restricted for wedding party activities mostly on small areas of the beach or one of the menu restaurants. Because alcohol is part of the all inclusive feature of the resort it does seem to attract a share of the partier types which detracts from what historically (and prior to being taken over by Hyatt) has been a low key, relaxing resort, which is not to say families are staying away because plenty are still choosing to come.

Price was reasonable VIEW was MAGICAL... customer service was great ( please know I've visited 29 countries). Over ALL, I can not do less than 5 starS.... remember treat everyone as you would like to be treated and the result will be GREAT..

This was our fourth stay here! We love it! The staff was incredibly helpful! They would do anything to make us happy! And we felt so safe here! A special shout-out to: Susana in Vivaz, Samantha in Highlightz, Arturo our beach server, and Alejandro at the excursions desk!

This all inclusive comes with beautiful views right on a private beach. We stayed in the club tower which has it's own bar and snacks served all day and we couldn't have been happier. The staff here is great and always seems earger to serve you. The on site gym has a nice assortment of equipment and with 5 pools you always have a place to be. The food was great at all the restaurants on the resort. You never feel like you need to leave to get a good meal. I can't wait to return.

Poor service, take too long to attend, today we spend about 45 minutes waiting tables in the Mexican and passed to other people who arrive after us, take another to serve.
The waiters do not all attend grudgingly, they passed us at the pool bar, until we stopped asking and asking, and finally attended.
The ramp that is to go down to the beach badly, we fight to lower people with wheelchairs, we wanted to go down to my mom and the staff just looked and did not help.
Yesterday at night in the cafe, another bad experience, terrible service in cafes and the mrs who is attending there reluctantly made them, without first telling us that at one time we said how many toral to do it together, not that they ordered it separately and it's more work, but we gave him 200 tips and he was already very kind.
I do not know.

Amenities included, awesome place to stay for a few days or a week, nice weather at the end of January.

Service is not quite what you would expect from a five-star Hyatt Hotel. Like most all-inclusive hotels, the food is not quite as good as you would get in an upscale restaurant, but it is not bad. It is located about 4 km outside of the Old Town, where you can actually enjoy the beach without the crowds, but still get to Old Town when you need to.

A wonderful place, good reception, services, qualified staff, very clean beach

This is a super luxurious, quiet hotel, with a huge and clean private beach, I loved the place, the service is impeccable, the food very good plus there is a lot of variety, there is a lot of foreigners and the atmosphere is familiar and relaxed. Actually to this place if I would go back without thinking, it has many themed restaurants and the food is delicious, this hotel does deserve the 5 stars.

The hotel is super nice, the service is excellent, the rooms are super complete, clean the restaurants it has are incredible but they could improve the Mexican food, the beach is private is super beautiful, everything really spectacular, I fell in love!

As all inclusive go Ziva in PVR is fine. However I wouldn't go back...

My all time favorite all inclusive is Ziva in Cancun, and truthfully PVR doesn't compare on most levels.

First top shelf drinks, not really. In fact they try to upsell you on tastings which is lame.

The facilities/options cannot compare on any level.

I will say the beach is awesome and in this enclosed cove. Its probably great if you want to keep things really isolated. If you like going on 1+ miles walks, can't do it here (unless you go back and forth repeatedly).

I'm not sure why PVR has a "club" tower. There is nothing exclusive about it.

We also went during covid and I believe the capacity is/was 50%. I cant imagine finding a pool chair with anymore people there.

Because its really contained PVR is probably great if you have kids you want to make sure can't go too far (young or old). We are past that stage ;)

If I had to choose I would stay in the Turquoise tower in Cancun, which again is in my opinion the best all inclusive we have experienced.

I am officially a fan of this hotel. The service and attention were spectacular. All rooms have ocean views. The beach is very well maintained and we even had to see how the baby turtles were released. There is a wide variety of restaurants, and to be honest, they were much better than I expected. I would definitely return.

Everything was outstanding with the exception of the hotel entertainer who were very annoying with her loudspeaker encouraging everyone to have fun!

The beds were a little iffy, with the pullout beds being almost unusable. Food was generally good all around, with Pureza being a highlight. Unlimited drinks and food was nice, especially considering how expensive they can be at other resorts. All rooms had an ocean view, which was nice considering how nice that view was. Far from the airport and downtown, usually about 30 minutes each way. Would stay again

The best hotel I've been to especially for the details and the warmth of its staff was my birthday and arriving in the room there was a cake and a greeting card! Already to leave in Blaze I told the waiter that I was leaving and they gave me more pies from Felix trip! And all restaurants gym kayaks room all first beach is lighter than the center and without stones would definitely return.

Being a Sri Lankan, I literally loved the atmosphere, humidity as it was way too similar to Sri Lanka! It was as if I was taken back home.
And this has been the best place I've been to in 2019 and I look forward to visit again very soon!
The staff was super helpful, professional and friendly, which I haven't noticed much in any other places around. They were always with a smile on, ready to help you in the best way possible! The food was out of the world! I fell in love with how the mangoes were dipped in some sauce, it was delicious! The rooms were cozy and exceptionally large with a mini bar which doesn't do justice to the the term mini, it's a large bar!

Excellent hotel, the personal treatment is excellent. The food is very good as the rest of facilities.

Beautiful part of the beach--- gorgeous views. Nice service! A friend of ours had broken his foot and it was not particularly handicap friendly. Although we were able to borrow a wheelchair there were very few elevators and some of them opened into awkward spaces like the buffet restaurant- you had to go through it to get anywhere else. The food was not great at the Italian restaurant or Japanese restaurant but was very nice at the buffet. We wanted to try the Brazilian steakhouse but it was closed when we tried.

Review of Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta

My Lovely bride and I did a Destination Wedding here and everything was absolutely perfect. Not a single hiccup.

The entire staff was great, but there were a few names I wanted to call out specifically who went above and beyond the call of duty and made us feel as though we were something special. I don't believe anyone is entitled to anything, but these people went so far out of their way to make sure we had a great time and it deserves to be recognized.

First, Esman, the wedding coordinator, is an absolute pro. Amanda and I had our concerns about doing a wedding without having been able to visit the location. Everything we had imagined in our mind turned out to be. The ceremony was simply stunning.

Next, Lucie, your wedding officiant. The piece she wrote for us was beautiful and felt unique to our story. She was also so pleasant to deal with.

Next, Bryan, a food server in the exterior of the Buffet. My parents and I had him often, and he was a blast. He was personable, took the time to learn our names and even started to figure out the "inside" jokes among our group for some perfectly timed humor. I mean, who does that? So awesome. His attention to detail was spectacular.

Jose Luis, server at Casa Grande. This is another server we sought out to return to multiple times for his attention to detail. He even ran to the buffet for my wife when she requested an item not on the menu (grilled shrimp) to go along with her Molcahate. He would actively seek us out, wave, and announce us by name when he saw us in various parts of the resort. While I am sure the staff is trained to do this, it made us feel very special, something we are not used to. He also congratulated us on our wedding about a dozen times, which is very appreciated. Excellent work.

In Entertainment group you have Marilu, who, same thing with name recognition appeared to strike up a bond with my wife. She was personable, attentive and a blast. She pulled us from our lunch to get in to the foam party and it was an absolutely fun experience.

We also had great experiences at the various bars, namely the swim up bar and the beach bar over by the Asian restaurant. Antonio, Christian, Carlos and Victor all stick out specifically as a great time, and again with the name and also drink order recognition. Great job.

The food was amazing. By far your standout restaurant Casa Grande. The quality of food was exemplary. We also visited the buffet many times and that was great almost every time.

I love that the resort has it's own private beach for guests. The rooms are nice and spacious. The service has been great overall. The hotel staff and the restaurant staff give great customer service and are very friendly and helpful!

Wow what a great experience, we got married here sight unseen. The food, drinks, cleanliness, and the staff was amazing. Esman was our wedding coordinator he and his team did an amazing job, and great photographer. We can't wait to come back, thank you Hyatt Ziva

Excellent hotel. First of all, all the staff are extremely friendly, and not because they are receiving tips, the good treatment is genuine.
The beach is excellent as it is a private beach, delimited on each side by a cliff, so 0 people other than the hotel.
The food is good and the food of a very good quality. There was not such a varied menu in the buffets, but I think it is because of the COVID measures.
The drinks in the pool arriving every time they saw your empty glass with a super waiter like Christian, always on the lookout for you.
The activities organized by all the entertainment staff, great !! Thank you very much for your attention and dedication to Freddy and all his team, who were entertaining our little boy and my husband, they even taught him to kayak !!
If we go back to Puerto Vallarta, they will surely see us there again.
Finally, the rooms, although they look a little old, are well maintained and have unbeatable views. Even with the window closed, you can hear the sea and it lulls you super rich.
I recommend it at 10000.

We were at the resort during a very full weekend. Even still, plenty of seating, always able to access bars and food. The food was better than I anticipated, and the drinks were great! The rooms were clean, staff hospitable! Restaurants and food options were plenty. The beach was private (plus, however if you wanted to explore by foot there's not much to see). A taxi/Uber ride is less than 30 min from the airport. We took an Uber from the airport, and a taxi back. Old Town is a quick drive away. The only negative was that there were several weddings over the weekend, one very loud later into the evening. Luckily between a Tylenol pm and an evening drink, I slept well enough .

Excellent all inclusive hotel with lots of privacy.
