Humanim Review

This place is not effective at all, counterproductive, and even destructive. Made the mistake of seeking help here during a time of a great need. Their program manager for community support services, Josh Bombino, is completely deceitful and has done nothing but set me back with all his lies, excuses, and failure to help in any way. Not only did he try to place blame on me for their shortcomings but continued to ignore requests for meetings to get the financial and housing help I need. He lied to my face several times. He accused me of hanging up a phone call in which he is the one who made the decision to disconnect. He tried to blame me for "spotty" communication when I was told I would be contacted the next day but it took over a week for me to even get any follow-up from a case worker. All of this from someone who claims to be a social worker and said to someone who is vulnerable and at risk. Bottom line: avoid this place at all costs. One day they will answer to suicide from treating people this way. And it is clear most of these reviews are written by staff and not actual clients. Take that into consideration as you decide whether or not to put your life in these people's hands. Does not even deserve 1 star!

An essay for Humanim;

I've been around the block here for quite some time. I am very grateful for their services and all the patience they have shown me over the years. However, lately there seems a lack of gusto as you would. The staff provide a minimalistic approach to the care provided to the clients. This did not used to be an issue as the staff beforehand exhibited more the care and love needed for this field. The housing arrangements are questionable and clients are not always held accountable for their choices or negligence to menial tasks. There's not much help provided if a client needs to learn how to clean or cook or other basic life skills. Majority of the time the staff talk and then leave or they sit around and do whatever as I've seen. My suggestion is to in some way get the clients learning or teach them something if they're just going to sit around. Also, don't look for help with any driving skills here. All in all it's not a bad place to be. The people are nice but to get to the grainwork it still needs some work.

It's a human services company. You should check them out if your mental health is less than optimum during these times. They'll help you to get back on top of your game

Never been to that building. They probably do good so check it out.

This organization is extremely understaffed. You wait and wait for assistance and you'll definitely be left hanging. The case managers are overworked, underpaid and can never offer a quick solution. Please hire more people.

Looking for my brother Danny Moore Jr. for 2 years I have called and left messages to no avail. In this day and time it is very scary not knowing if he is even alive. I think they can atleast let us know that much
