All the employees/ volunteers are super amazing and most of all compassionate. Answered all my questions as I had to sadly surrender my pets. I'm way more appreciative then they will ever know. Keep up the great work.

If you are going to adopt a pet this is the place to do it. So many animals need homes. We foster with the Humane Society and can tell they take care of their animals and make sure they are healthy and are ready for adoption before you get them. I also recommend you foster if you can.

Our 13 yr old dog Tibbles passed away July 19, 2021 (RIP Baby Boy ) and we , as we did when we rescued Tibbles , went to our local Humane Society to see if we could rescue another. We did ! I would say what I like the most about this place besides it being very well kept and clean is the bag of upper class dog food they gave us and the comprehensive multi day report on how our rescue reacted around people , big dogs and little dogs. First time Ive seen sth like that when I rescued a dog Keep up the great work !

We are happy with our dog and all the people we dealt with in person we re pleasant. However, our mixed breed stray cost $500! When I asked for an explanation of the charges, I was told $300 was the base cost, $40 for the neuter, $20 to license and $140 to make the number come out right . When I asked for clarification, I was told it s because he was an unneutered male, but they neutered him, so why charge $140 on top of the $40 to neuter him? I also requested they bathe him, as he was dirty from being a stray and couldn t have a bath for 10 days after being neutered I was told no. I asked a man I spoke with on the phone why he couldn t get a bath since we paid $500 for him and was told You don t have to adopt him if you don t want to . I offered to come down and bathe him myself prior to him being neutered and was told no. I see some chihuahua puppies are on the website for $600 each and you have to put $40 down to reserve one but it doesn t go toward the adoption and it is non-refundable! We have always gotten our dogs from the Humane Society and donate to them every year but this will be the last time for both. The Humane Society has lost it s way. Very sad for all those dogs who need a good home.

This place is warm and friendly and caring! Everyone is great and you can tell they all care about animals. It felt as clean and well run as an excellent hospital. We always use the Humane Society of Pikes Peak and donate as often as we can! Thank You for being there.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed the whole process of adopting our pup 'Sporty Spice' now named 'Kali'! Everything went pretty smoothly and it took us about 2 hours in total to walk out the door with our new family member. They only let you see 2 dogs a day, so that helped us narrow our choices down. They gave us a lot of information on the dogs we were interested in seeing and the lady was very knowledgeable and friendly. They make sure you are paired with the correct type of dog you are looking for in your life! My only complaints are, my dog did come home with slight kennel cough and did spread it to my other dog. But that is solved now and you can expect that from a shelter. Also they told me the dog I was getting is going to be destructive, high energy and chooses not to interact with dogs, but she is the total opposite which is awesome! She is cuddly, calm, and loves meeting other pups and we solved her little destructive issue with a crate for when we leave! I did not like how they had her on a medication to calm her down and help her anxiety even though she did not need it. She just needed to feel comfortable and loved. Overall this shelter is great to adopt from and is super clean! Everyone is nice and the process is easy and quick.

Great shelter super clean. They were all so nice to me and matched me up with Lily and beautiful little Queensland heeler mix and I couldn't be more happy with the service, help, and straight up caring staff. I appreciate them.

Did an amazing job helping my cat and giving him the surgery he needed. He's doing so good now thanks to them. Process was easy and staff were nothing but helpful the entire way. Highly recommended if your pet ever needs medical attention.

The staff at this location are always nice and as accommodating as possible. It was great to see their kennels were pretty empty! The areas are always clean and the animals well cared for.
