Lovely venue and the new Street Food provider Shoot The Bull whilst expensive was excellent quality.
Lovely venue and the new Street Food provider Shoot The Bull whilst expensive was excellent quality.
This is the perfect theatre its not too big the ambience is just right. I've been several times and thoroughly enjoyed each visit, my only criticism is that the ticket prices are quite high and it excludes so many people from being able to go and then when i have gone I've noticed so many empty seats it's a shame if it was more affordable I'd definitely get to go more often and i think it would be the same for many other people in hull who just end up going to the cinema instead because it's so much cheaper.
Enjoyed The Winter's Tale performed by the Chameleon Players. Very well done. But where was the bear? Theatre itself was a bit crowded in the foyer. But mostly all good!!
Smashing show, short history of tractors in Ukraine, in a superb venue, Hull Truck. Recommend both the show and the venue.
Very good, but seems to be fully booked for City of Culture
We enjoy going to Hull Truck and saw several well performed productions during Hull City of Culture 2017. Excellent production last night as usual. We went to see Oliver Twist, reasonably priced and good atmosphere. Convincing acting. More
Good variety of shows and easy to access due to the location being near the multi storey car park. Would have been 5* but bar area too small to accommodate everyone at intermission.
Bouncers was fab. Well acted, both funny and sad. Enjoyable night out
First time, and wont be the last... good show, well done to all
Excellent performance and social comment brought up to date for today's audience.
Enjoyed the experience, a great evening. Excellent seating. The show we saw was 'A Christmas Carol'. Hope to return at a later date.
Amazing venue, our second visit, this time to book tickets for another show and book a table with shoot the bull. Shoot the bull is the hidden gem inside hull truck, the food they serve is amazing. The staff are also very helpful and friendly
Love the little play area for little ones and the dress up. Fish finger sandwich is lovely!
Very busy atmosphere and very nice to see the smell of hot good being served drinks from the bar to those awaiting to see the play alas we came to a meditation class but we did not miss the buzz of threaten goers that evening happy and friendly great
Good sized theatre, it's better viewing if you sit at the back.
One of the best places in hull. Always some good shows on. Easy access for the disabled too.
Brilliant venue in Hull, accessible by bus, train and car. Secure lite car park is located right next door plus you can eat in the building at the cafe bar or at St Stephen next door. Inside the theatre there is not a bad seat in the house. All the seats have plenty of leg room which is great for a tall man like me, plus you can even take your drink in while watching the show. All the shows I have seen have been great with some great plays and stand up comedians. A jewel in the City of Culture crown.
Excellent venue in the heart of Hull. Great friendly service. The Heron theatre is large enough to hold a decent size audience but small enough to feel close to the performance.
When you know the history of Hull Truck, you'll be amazed at the progress its made over the years
Amazing modern venue with varied and top quality performances. Also host to many amazing musicians for jazz Festival. Welcoming staff and quality food.
Whether your relationship with Hull Truck Theatre is through its stage productions or the many musical acts to be found there, Hull Truck Theatre is a great facility with absorbing events. For me, the twice-yearly batches of Hull Jazz Festival gigs organised with J-Night are a splendid mix and attract some big names. The food and drink are good quality although not cheap, the flyers are not cosy but do the job. The Heron is the main auditorium and is delightful, with the audience wrapping around the stage to each side and comfortable seats with reasonable leg room. The Studio is like a steeply banked lecture theatre and works surprisingly well for a small line up or cast.
Went yesterday for the fun day they had. The kids loved it and spent several hours there.
A different experience at Hull Truck tonight. An interesting art exhibition.
Bar staff are rude. Getting served is a horrible experience, being ignored. No system
We had a wonderful time. The play was very well performed
Great theatre . Good performances and sensibly priced .
Centre of Hull culture for many years, I've seen some memorable things here over the years from Shakespeare to farce, Jazz and stand up comedy and local am dram. If you're spending a few nights in Hull, pay a visit. Good bar with coffee and food during the day.
The show 'Turn and Face the Strange' was brilliant, but it got chilly just before interval, so I wore my coat through the second half, otherwise brilliant show, great staff etc. Will visit again
Fantastic place, friendly staff. A great night out with plenty of variety.
First time here. Was in studio. Lovely intimate little theatre. Would definitely go again
Saw Bouncers and highly recommend: both funny but moving. Great performance
Great venue! Visited several times, always loved the performances. Seriously underrated.
Watched Oliver Twist yesterday. Absolutely fantastic performance. Incredibly talented cast. Loved it. Highly recommended. Well done to all cast and crew involved
Brilliant show with Elio Pace and the Billy Joel Songbook. Delightful theatre and great staff.
Been to several shows here. Ticket buying experience always easy. Comfortable and nice setting.
Went to see , turn and face the strange, story of Mick Bronson from hull, Mick played in spiders from mars with superstar bowie, a must see play, great night out at a great venue.
I thoroughly enjoyed the night. always feel enjoyed
Service is really good especially when you need a wheelchair friendly venue. Unlike Hull new theatre
Straightforward professional theatre always a good crowd. The productions are accessible by all and reasonably priced.
Wonderful easy access Theatre with amazing caring staff - You will not be disappointed
Came to Hull Truck Theatre this morning with a group from nursery, thank you Magda for the activities and the tour it was an eye opener. We will definitely be bringing our granddaughter to the Gruffalos child.
The shows are very good and the staff are pleasant and friendly
Came to see 'Ginger is the new black' with my partner.
We booked a table before the performance.
Staff were super friendly.
Cafe/bar -plenty of choices, good quality, value for money.
Comfortable surroundings.
Loved all of it.
Ginger is the new black was hilarious.
Would highly recommend it.
Been here previously to see a live band and thoroughly enjoyed it. Went again to see Oliver over Christmas, and again thoroughly that too. Can't beat live theatre for atmosphere It's easy to book tickets and the staff are very pleasant and helpful. Right in the town centre close to bus and train stations and ample parking close by.
Fame - Poor acting and dancing. Performers smelt of bad body odour and strong swearing throughout was totally unnecessary especially when there were a lot of small children in the audience. A really disappointing show which quite frankly should not have been performed at such a high profile venue.
Enjoyable experience. Staff helpful and friendly will be returning soon.
Great theatre, good seats, helpful staff and the performance is brought to you no raised stage. WONDERFUL.
I went today to see Dancing Through the Shadows and I enjoyed every minute of it. I think more plays about Hull and the North always bring in more audiences to Hull truck. Richard Vergette is local and thats what I like, this is why Hull truck became famous good old Northern plays more please
Joan Hay.
Great venue. Came to watch The Hypocrite and was very well looked after by the staff as my wife was recovering from an operation.
Was comfortable in the well designed seats with plenty of leg room. Staff helpful and the air conditioning a Godsend on this hot day. Had some delicious soup before the show but I do think there should be healthy food options available, there were no salads or jackets available, mainly sausages and burgers. Was impressed however that gluten free options were available on all dishes.
Great show and the staff were very friendly and polite
Excellent venue with comfy seats, plenty of leg room and good quality entertainment.
Panto just a bit too long but the facilities were used amazingly., Well done Hull truck and good luck for 2020
Fabulous show (Christmas treasure island), a lovely evening all round.
Awesome, seeing behind the scenes and the real bones behind it.
Fantastic local theatre, with excellent range of productions. Great that the food and drink are also from local companies. Never disappointed whenever I go here
Great venue with great family events! Some amazing theatre has come from this venue!!
Love going to this great theatre. Always a great view, great atmosphere, I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Cheap parking close by, five stars all round.
