Coming to apply for a job here is a bit weird and not sure it is a feasible job. The interview was a bit strange, but I wouldn't comment if I came here to learn.

I had the opportunity to expose my business at your SACF, I had a great experience as i got connected to so many people from different nationalities. Also, I learnt a lot in running a small business through your assistance. I look forward to participating again this year 2018. Thank you.
This is just to say thank you to Heritage Skill development Centre for all your services in the community including youth empowerment, newcomers settlement, social programs and capacity building initiatives. you have indeed given hope to the hopeless. keep up with the good work and as a community leader, we will continue to partner and support HSDC.
Great Organization!
HSDC enables newcomers to settle and integrate through supportive counseling and referral services.
I am very grateful for having the opportunity to intern for HSDC.
Thank you to cooperative and dedicated staff.
HSDC is an great Agency with programs and services for youths, women, new immigrants and visible minorities. The Organization provides opportunities for new immigrants to gain Canadian work experience, as well as, cultural activities that enhance the Canadian multicultural mosaic. It is a wonderful organization that provide integrating programs for new immigrants. The staff and volunteers are warm and nice. HSDC has a board that is functioning and support the wonderful work the management is executing continuously. Its an great grass root organization.
Over the years I have followed up with the excellent community services provided by your center at HSDC. I am very impressed with your recent initiatives of" #proudblackscarbTo" . It's amazing as it empowers black youths and their families while creating a positive nurturing environment for the youths. This is a wonderful program that needs all the necessary support from both the community and the government. Keep it up, congratulations to all the staff and volunteers of HSDC.
The Heritage Skills Development Centre Computer Training Program has helpful me tremendously with improving my computer skills.
The lecture who taught the Microsoft Advanced Program approached it very methodically. The lecturer started with the basic concepts and then moved to the more advanced concepts. To help the students master these concepts a lot of examples and hands-on exercise were introduced.
When questions were asked of the lecturer, the lecturer took time to explain and helpl to work out the problem a student may be encountering.
I would recommend the Heritage Skills Development Centre for upgrading your skills.
The Staff at the centre was also very helpful .
Don't waste your time volunteering here. They are located in a low income building. They make students pay around $150-250 for classes, yet they seek volunteers to instruct their classes. The sewing machines never work (they rely on donated machines that are around 40-50 years old) and the fabric they are so protective of (seriously they didn't want me to let students take their projects home) is smelly and sometimes has surprises in it-i.e. cockroaches! The fact that they ask for your SIN number leads me to believe they are claiming volunteers as employees. Also they are rude.
They are the lowest of the low you can ever seen. They send out massive junk mail just to annoyed you. Even blocking their email address they still find a way to use different junk mail address to bombing you mailbox.
I wish to congratulate HSDC for launching a violence prevention initiatives in our Scarborough communities. This has come at crucial moments- with so much shooting going on in Toronto, including Scarborough. We welcome this project that creates awareness, educates, empowers provides opportunities for collective actions while enabling members of the community to come together, network, share ideas of common interest, concerns and values as well as bond at the same time. Well done HSDC.
heritage is a nice place to be, they are wonderful and very patience with students, i am happy to be here.
This organization demonstrates how powerful grassroots non-profit agencies can be. They throw the most amazing, fun summer festival (Scarborough Afro-Carib Fest), and do a lot of wonderful work to help community members stand up on their own two feet through capacity building courses and training program. Staff, instructors and volunteers are super friendly and helpful, 10/10 would visit again! :)
Thanks to all the workers and volunteers at HSDC for the wonderful job they do, especially helping small home businesses like us to come out at this special event yearly to make sales. Is that time of the year again and am looking forward see you all and have fun.
HSDC is good in many ways. The staff here is very cooperative and technically sound. A nice place to learn computer basics but needs to be little more spacious
Excellent Organization!! Great Service. Thank you to the wonderful staff and volunteers at HSDC for all your great work!
The staff and the teacher are very helpful and nice. I am learning a lot.
Great Organzation; proud to be a Voulnteer as a Peer leader in that orgazation
This is worse non-profit organization I volunteered for. Well so call non-profit! They take $100 dollar so called admission fee to enroll into classes run by volunteer who don't always show up. The services are expensive here. Not to mention about the place. Its so filthy, it's so messy, full of cockroaches, it is just unbelievable! I just don't understand why the authority do not visit this place and take a look with their own eyes. They apply for funding after funding, there is no trace of where this fundings are going. For the information, they do not give out ttc token to volunteers as they promise on their volunteer advertisement. Not to mention how rude they are! So do not waste your time volunteering or even working here.
I think that is really great that HSDC have a programs as computer classes basic and advance there is not charge, it really helpful to me to be actualized in this topic. I am happy to learn .
I started being a part of HSDC since 2010 as a volunteer and i find it difficult to leave that's why i am still a part of it till today. Their contribution to the community is what keeps bringing me back, they help kids with computers, they help adults with helping women to sew, french language programs and countless of things that is making a difference in the community. That's what keeps bringing me back and will continue to be a part of it for a very long time.
I would like to thank the staff and management of the HSDC for all the work they are doing with young, new and emerging artists. They provide opportunities for these artists to build their skills, self-esteem and confidence through events like Scarborough Afro-Carib Fest and Scarborough Celebrates Canada. The exposure that these events provide can help these artists develop the tools they need to realize their dreams. Thanks once again!
The computer class was very helpful for me and I learned a lot from the class.
The most incompetent people I've ever dealt with.
They're rude, unskilled and unavailable. Don't bother with these people.
They're events are usually empty And they ask for big money to sign up. Major scam. Do not bother doing your events with these people. Save yourself the headache.
Excellent programme I have learned some new and interesting ways to shortcuts for Excel. Claudia is a very patient teacher.
This course is fascinating. Being a communication graduate, I am particularly interested in the way that computers talk to one another. There is a lot of useful information in this course. I am definitely glad I took this course
Well done HSDC for providing first class services to the members of the community
A great place to volunteer and/or take classes. It warms my heart to have connected with such caring, real people. Not only are they very flexible in terms of working around my schedule, but they also provide superb training and mentor-ship.
Definitely worth checking my friends! Peace & Love
Wow, Its an amazing time again to be at your yearly program I cannot wait to be there.
I always enjoy the Cultural diversification undertone of all your programs and accept my salute for wonderful laudable programs you have undertaken to help immigrants and will always want to associate with you.
I am please to associate myself and my business with HSDC and the SACF in particular. Please keep up the good work. Your organization is of immeasurable value to Canadians and thank you for that.
HSDC is an amazing organization that provides services that enhances and empowers people in the community; particularly women and the youths. KUDOS! For the phenomenal work and keep raising the flag for a wonderful and safe environment/community.
It's great to work here, I love the working environment and everyone is so lovely and friendly. It's amazing.
I really learned to study Basic Web Design here at Heritage Skills Development Centre (HSDC) near at home at Scarborough (GTA), Ontario. The teacher and the staff are so friendly because I recommend HSDC as a great avenue to learn new skills for the underemployed or unemployed workers here in Toronto. HSDC is not a just school but a community for the unemployed and underemployed to give more hopes on landing future jobs or self-employment. God bless you. To God be the Glory!
I started Basic computer classes on zoom and I have been learning lot of new things since then. I was an Accountant and I now understand I missed lot of it. Age is not a barrier for learning. This class will help me to teach our community in Tamil in future. Thanks for your free service Heritage Skills Development Centre.
They are actually a terrible organization. Avoid at all costs.
HSDC is a helpful centre. I am attending classes there, and the teacher Ms.Claudia is very polite and her teaching skills are good.
HSDC is a great organization ,providing wonderful services. Please keep up with the good work
This is a great organization. Thanks to the staff and all the volunteers for the amazing work that they do for immigrant women and members of the community.
My name is Churchill Nwose, l just want to thank the staff of HSDC for the wonderful services that I received when I moved to settle in Toronto. I now have a good job and more comfortable. Thanks a million times , keep the good job, hsdc
This is great learning experience, coordinator is very knowledgeable, thanks for your time!
Its really good to in many ways. It has friendly environment. Staff here are technically sound and very cooperative and non judgmental. A very congenial atmosphere to learn computer basics. Think there needs to be little more space
I am very glad to get the opportunity to attend the online computer training course offered by Heritage Skills Development Centre. The instructor Crystal Kwan explains the content very well and answers all of the questions very patiently. I hope this online course will continue and many people will be able to benefit from it.

Worked Here. Great Team. Taught computer classes in web development. Students are enthusiastic and ready to learn. ... Very motivated... feet on the ground GREAT community service.
Each days interns assigned some tasks related to the position which is good. Although sometime had to ask that is there anything I can do. I also took a time to know about this organization. So, if they provided us even a quick orientation it would be great.
The program offered by Heritage Skills is very beneficial to new learners as well as experienced professional as it covers in detail at a very appropriate pace with abundant exercises and examples. I would recommend Heritage Skills to any one who wants to learn new skills or improve their existing skills.
I attended your capacity building workshop which provided me with all the information and resources that I needed to make a career decision. it's amazing and that you so much for everything. God bless you all
