Nice cinema. Definitely clean and tidy. Lovely staff. Clean bathrooms. Lovely atmosphere. Lots of junk food and good movies the carpark is expensive so don't forget to have your ticket validated. They will still charge you $7 flat fee after 6pm. Very busy at times. But lovely in the evening.
Always liked coming here but after the recent reno this cinema went to the top of my cinemas list.
Toilets were a disgrace. Wet floors. No toilet paper in the disabled toilet near Screen 3
Toilets could do with a clean. The staff were great, helpful and very pleasant.
It will be better if there are more food choices around.

Heat cinema in Sydney. Try LUX - the only way to watch a movie in my opinion.
Hoyts EQ is great for the family, theres a lot of shops around and on weekends there is a market with rides. Hoyts at EQ also has VMax & Lux, and the special 14-17 older cinema.
Drinks and snacks are very expensive but the cinema is spacious and the screen is big. Ads were on for too long
The place and stuff are really nice, the projectors quality isn't bad only con is you don't get many deals and discounts.. this place is dead almost every time I've been there.
I went to LUX the first time I was amazed by the great service unlike there competitors I found it was so much better I will be going there more often considering it's a bit of a drive to get to the next Hoyts from where I live
No staff around to check tickets or help with where to go. Seats horrendously uncomfortable and old, no where to place snacks, if you do buy food you then have walk around the entire quarter just to get to where the movie is shown. Screen was terrible had damage spots that were very noticeable during entire movie, sound was not that great, screen size not good either. Had a weird smell which was not pleasent. This is hands down the worst Hoyts I have been to. Will not return.
Incorrect display of film times. Staff took no responsibility and argued the truth of the matter. Large (1/8th of screen) black dust marks on lens projected onto the screen throughout film. This had a significant negative affect on actually watching the film.
Good cinema complex, usually not too busy and easy to access. Cinemas are modem and clean. IMAX screen is pretty awesome too and great audio.
The car park provides 3 hours free parking once you validate your ticket inside the cinema, but this may not be enough, especially if you want to grab a meal before/after.
Incredibly friendly staff. Service is great. I have only used the Lux cinemas here. The one time we had an issue, dessert was served to us when there was about 5 minutes left of the movie, we spoke to a supervisor who happily refunded the dessert price and apologised profusely. Great cinema.
It is under major construction and is a building violation in the making while trading to keep a handful of limited screens open.

While the screen and sound quality were very good, the chairs in the IMAX theatre were quite old and uncomfortable to sit on for too long without having to shift around.
'Gourmet' popcorn (maple bacon) was stale and had way too much sickly sweet caramel and kept getting stuck to my teeth.
The best Hoyts in Sydney, but it needs those recliner seats like on Chatswood
Recent Reno makes the place cool stylish and clean,.great seats and screens, extreme screen great, although 5.50 for a tiny bottle of fizzy water is an absolute joke

The seats were ok, the sound and theatre setup were actually quite good. The food is expensive which would be ok because it is supposed to be a premium experience, but the burgers were disgusting and drowned in mustard and ketchup. For a premium service, the staff was also a bit slow, my (presumably microwaved) burgers took over half an hour. And we waited about 10 minutes after calling for service. Shelling out more than 130$ for 2 I expect a bit more.

Protip: You get a free popcorn and soft drink with Hoyts Lux, so the price isn't that bad for the experience.
Plenty of parking, plenty of cinemas and sessions available. Popcorn could have been a fresher.

Hoyts Entertainment quarter is totally refurbished and the new recliner seats are fantastic. A great investment technology and comfort with helpful staff and well worth a visit.
Validated my parking ticket at the cinema, still made me pay at the parking. Will not be coming back.
Beautiful cinema after their recent renovations and upgrades in such a beautiful setting at the Entertainment Quarter. We had great Mexican at El Camino and caught a movie! Very enjoyable
Food was surprisingly good at Lux Cinemas. Will be going back there again. Highly recommend
This is a decent cinema. They have a lot of theaters and last minute seats. The service is a bit slow but nothing drastically needs to change. They have great seats but nothing about this cinema is amazing or special in any way. It s a decent place to go to but don t go out of your way to come here.

Love all of the different things to do here. Good food, movies, bowling, laser tag and video games.
My go-to cinema. It's never super-crowded, and lots of eating options. You can validate your ticket for 3 hours free parking. If only they would upgrade the seats to fully reclinable like the Westfield Chatswood cinema.

Quite a decent Hoyts. I have been here a couple of times, and there are always plenty of seats available, the screens are of good quality, and the chars are nice and comfy. The cleanliness here is good, and the staff are always pretty good from what I have experienced. The location of this place is also great - so many awesome places to eat and drink in the EQ!

First thing was a 12 advertisement at full loud volume! Very loud volume!
The cinema chairs are either dirty, broken or both. People put their feet on the head rests a lot at this cinema, I know that's not Hoyts' fault but it's the reason we don't go there anymore. East gardens has reclining seats in all their cinemas. And no one can put their feet on the chair in front of them

I'm from the U.S. and hoyts EQ is one of the best cinemas I've been to. Great service and a beautiful cinema.

One of the best Hoyts cinema in Sydney, with occasional special events such as advance preview screenings in the IMAX theatre. IMAX screen is huge, great sound & nice accoustic. Although the seats are not recliners they are comfortable & air conditioning is just at the right temperature.
Fantastic atmosphere, a great place to go to spend a day with family and friends, lots of entertainment to choose from and some great restaurants.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Cinemas and amenities were clean. We watched our film in one of the smaller cinemas, studio 12. I found I could hear the music playing outside which was quiet a distraction given it was a relatively quiet film and there was also a passageway light that was shining in front of me which caught my attention a couple of times throughout the film. However despite these, the reclining chairs are a nice feature and the audio and visual of the cinema were also of good cinema quality.
Nice cinema in the middle of the Quarter, which has tons of other options for food and entertainment.
Very expensive and no ads should be shown prior to film - in 2018 I do not want to pay to watch ads. 3 trailers maximum as well. This is my local theatre but after experiencing cinemas in the USA, Hoyts have lots of work to do to match the pricing, customer service, seating etc.

No one to take our ticket ...Hope they jave a Emergency plan as seriously 1 staff member on counter and that was it .
No call bell service because they don't want anyone touching the bell. I stated Hoyts should satinising with disinfectant the hard surfaces and cup holders including call bell next to the hard surface after each movie. I am surprised they don't. Too many staff providing no service. Just double the price tickets and then charge $7 entry $7 for no service. Then on top of this a booking fee for paying ahead?? Mobile EFTPOS still not converted to WiFi or not added Bluetooth repeater for touch EFTPOS to work inside theatre . Mention this year after year. Entertainment Quarter does not want our business
Luxury theatre in a beautiful atmosphere surrounded by cafes and pubs and restaurants and sometimes interesting little fairs going on as well :)

Disgusting customer service, uncomfortable seats that do not recline, outdated cinema, burnt popcorn. Tickets should be no more than $5 each.
Customer service at the lux bar was horrible and no attention when waiting at the bar to be served. Also the cinema smelt like wet socks. Definitely been to better lux cinemas.
Solid LUX experience at EQ. Friendly service, comfortable seating and extensive menu. Offered complimentary small popcorn and soft drink on arrival. The popcorn size is smaller than the usual small when purchased from the Candy Bar. Overall, would do again.
Small coke and medium popcorn....$16. Paper straw soggy and broken before the coke is finished, popcorn on the ground before it s half eaten because the little drinks table between the chairs (in cinema 17) is just barely large enough to hold both and doesn t have anything to stop you knocking it off. Cinema isn t sound proof enough to avoid hearing the movie in the cinema next door. This isn t my first hoyts eq rodeo, but I think it s probably my last. Every time I go there I feel like I m being exploited. Good points (that got it to two stars) - good screen, comfortable chairs, well sized cinema.

Love the vibes here and super hyper and friendly staff! Was in a bad mood before going in but they did a great job to bring up guess's mood for the fun games! 100% in love with the games and setting there and would love to visit again. Their income will be donated to charity so it's also very motivating to spend money there!
