Houston county medical center Review

This visit, aside from when I have birth to my daughter in 2017, has to be the best visit I've encountered. I had an outpatient surgery and from start to finish I received the best care. Tamer, Sydney, Ashley, and Gayle all made my stay much better than I expected it to be. Normally I would be going on about horrible service, bedside manner, and things that go wrong. However, this day was filled with smiles and great attitudes from start to finish. I thank these women, and of course my doctor and the team performing my surgery, from the bottom of my heart for helping me leave with a smile on my face.

Every time me or anyone I know goes to this hospital they sit for HOURS before even being seen. Also they are definitely NOT set up for this pandemic even though it s been going on for a year now. When you do finally see a doctor the doctors are great, it s the entire process before that sucks. I will drive 45 mins out of my way just to go to any other hospital nearby and I recommend others to do the same. Honestly you have to be bleeding, dying, or dead just to be seen in a timely manner.

It was not pleasant... apparently there was only one PA on duty and several nurses doing nothing. We got there about 10:45 p.m. and there were 31 people waiting. No blood, no physical injuries, no moaning or groaning and apparently the only person in physical pain was my wife. We finally left at 12:30 a.m. having seen no one...I will be dying before I ever go there again. Macon has good hospitals with good reviews...works for me.

I have per virus medical issues. I recommend this facility for whatever is needed concerning your medical needs. Yes, I have had one unpleasant experience with a nurse having a bad day. I reported it and it was handled but overall this is a great hospital with qualified hospital and ER staff. I have had more than my share of ER visits and admission because of ongoing medical issues. I am pleased to say they did and do their jobs well. Perfect? No. No one is. But I have no problem going to them in the future if and when the next medical issue come up. Hopefully they will expand Perry Hospital in the future. Convenient.

I am only giving this a one star because I know the staff are working like crazy and I do respect that and I do feel empathy for their situation.The problem lies here. When you have a Loved one with Covid in the hospital and cannot speak to them sometimes you do need to ask questions..They are hanging up at times and other just not answering families..we have been experiencing this for days..What are the family members to do when they cannot get answers on a diagnosis and we'll being of a patient?

When is it acceptable or best practices to discharge a patient and wheel him out to the pickup area and leave him sitting in 50 degree weather? Did I mention he had Covid 3 weeks ago, an appendectomy, and diagnosed with pneumonia 2 days prior? While crying out in pain and in Trauma 2 he was asked by an attendant to please keep it down because he was scaring the other patients.

The only helpful employees thru this ordeal this morning at HMC were Bobby and Carl. Thank you guys.

Have not had any bad experiences with the hospital, staff, or service. However the billing department is the absolute worst. Scam artists and rip offs. Quick to take your money, double bill, triple bill, etc. You have to jump through hoops to get a refund though. Rude on the phone as well. My advice is to check your billing statement for everything. Coding, amounts, etc. They do not care!

We want to thank everyone at hhc specifically the women's center for the awesome experience the friendly staff there literally every single person there. Everyone was great. Again thank you all so much!!! Hailey and I appreciate you all!!!

Unless you re dying or already in an ambulance I wouldn t come here. Even then probably not. With a full wait room and people that are clearly in serious condition there was no pep in their step at all. They were doing things as slow as they could and looking at the workers they look as if they could care less about their jobs. This place is absolutely terrible and anyone needing medical assistance I recommend you go anywhere else unless you want to wait 4 hours to be seen about what you re actually there to be seen for.
