Extraordinary tech came out, he really knew garage doors!! Ours was still under a previous warranty, so no fuss and no problems. I will definitely use this company again and recommend them again in the near future!!

We had take out from here after the Best of Naperville awards came out (congrats to the owner BTW).
Food was good, we had the BBQ pork fried rice, some steamed buns, and a strawberry smoothie. the smoothie was the star of the night.
I'd come back, but I'd eat it there to see if the food wins that 5th star. All in all a good experience.

The service is uneven, as the place has high turnaround of waiters. We come once every couple months and I do not remember seeing same waiter twice.
The biggest recent turn-off is that they started to serve buns in plastic imitations of bamboo steamers. Feels cheap - and I am not looking towards another heated plastic in my food chain.
If that cheapness spills into the dining room, I am afraid to think about the kitchen.
So, yesterday was the last visit. We are unlikely to come back.

I just placed an order with this restaurant and even though I called 15 minutes before close, they accepted my order (the website states they stop taking orders 30 minutes before close). Very friendly service and the food is excellent. Highly recommended!
I like their food. I used to eat there often. However, today I wasn't happy with their lack of enforced spacing. Their lobby was jammed with 8 people, 2 of which were not wearing masks. There were 4 of us standing outside in the rain waiting for acceptable space. When there was 1 guy left in the lobby I went in to wait 6' away from that guy. Instead, I was asked to stand next to him to pay for my takeout. I'm sure it's tough to run a restaurant during covid but I don't think I'll be coming back until there is a vaccine.
Really good food and wonderful service in a will decorated restaurant. My kids enjoyed the bubble tea. The protons are generous, four entrees easily feed four adults and two children with leftovers to bring home.

This place is the next best thing to going to Chinatown. It serves authentic Cantonese cuisine with the highest quality ingredients, such as jumbo size shrimps for its seafood noodles. Prices are competitive for suburban location. Some folks may think it's expensive. But in general, if you factor in the driving and parking costs to Chinatown just to get the same food, this place is a bargain. This place is family run for all these years and that longevity speaks for itself. If it's not good enough, they'd be closed by now. I highly recommend it.

Been going here for years, they keep improving. Always fresh ingredients, great flavors, real quality chinese food. They have gluten/wheat free soy sauce available. We drive about 30 min. to get here, and we won't go anywhere else for chinese food anymore. Nothing else is as good in the area.

Outstanding food and service! We had the summer roll (shrimp, noodle, and lettuce rolled in soft rice wrap) and we shared a large bowl of duck and shrimp wanton soup with Udon noddles. Yum! On top of the great food our server was the best!

Excellent food, service and environment!!! I purchased a groupon and never really know what to expect, but this restaurant exceeded my expectations. The menu had so much to choose from and everything was clean and well run. I will definitely go back and would have no problem paying full price because it is worth it. :)
Good food and friendly service. Open Mondays when most Chinese restaurants are closed. Spring rolls are much smaller than egg rolls for the same price.
Service was good, but the food was awful. Worst crab rangoon and Thai yellow curry with chicken I've had in my life. Very disappointed. I'm not going to complain to the waiter because he's nice and Chinese restaurants are not known for being understanding when someone doesn't like the food. I'm simply never coming back.
This restaurant has been here for some 32 years and I've patronized it off and on for the last 19 years and the food is always good. Tonight I had my favorite Kung Pao Chicken! It was delicious as was the spring roll! Good food, ample servings and good service always at House of Emporer!

Fresh good food. One of my favorite restaurant. They have maintained consistency as far as taste is concerned though.
When I first moved to the western suburbs in the 1980s, most Chinese people in the western suburbs said this was the best Chinese restaurant in the western suburbs. Since then, the quality of other Chinese restaurants have improved and Americans are becoming more familiar with real Chinese food. I don't know how it stacks up in the new landscape as they have a mix of Americanized and authentic Chinese food (available on a separate menu printed in Chinese), but the quality has remained consistent all these years.
The food is good but I think what threw me off was the amount of awards the place has for Best Chinese in the area. Service great and very attentive. We ll definitely give it another shot.

Im shocked at these great reviews went last night and it was awful. Started out with smoothies and they did not taste fresh, gnats flying around our food, the chicken orange tasted as if it was cooked in very old oil. Disgusting owner should be ashamed
I went here a few months ago for a small dinner with a lot of people. I remember how good the service was and how they were pretty good with asking us if we needed more tea, and everyone's dishes were so good! I even took from my mom's plate after I shoved calamari in my face. I would definitely go here again for a special occasion.
Great food, especially the hot and sour soup, and excellent bar selections. Bonus points for actually having fresh mint on hand to make a mojito. Went with a large group last night and the service was impeccable. One of the owners made sure we were still taken care of by charging on us throughout the evening.

Their dishes are salty for me. I asked to make my orders less salty. It is still salty. The seafood was not fresh.
The food is great, lunch specials, but sometimes they "conveniently" disable the online order function and thus customers don't get the 10% discount. It's been about a month since I've been able to make an online order
Tried this place based on reviews but the chicken was overly breaded. The fried rice was okay but how can you really mess up rice?
It was my first time there yesterday. I have been only in a few asian restaurants in the past to be honest, so I am not an "expert" in chinese of food at all, but what we had there was really awesome. The food is great and the service excellent. Very nice atmosphere too. We will definitely visit that place again.

One of the best Chinese place in Naperville. Love love the Kung Pao and my wife loves the pork fried rice. We used to live less than a mile from here and it was our go to place. The only complaint I have is the crab rangoons could be a little more crabbier and less creme cheese. But other than that, the food is amazing....and portions are HUGE! We only ever got the small sizes and still had left overs!
The food is mediocre at best, but like the location, store front, and service. We had the walnut shrimp (4/10), orange chicken (6/10), Mongolian beef (5/10), gon chow beef flat rice noodles (3/10), crab rangoon (5/10), chicken or shrimp fried rice (4/10), egg roll (5/10). Meh, wouldn't recommend.
Been coming to the restaurant for 20 years but it has gotten to the point where service is too bad to come back. This isn't on the hosts or hostesses. Or even the wait staff. The management of this place by owners and managers is completely unacceptable. Reservations mean nothing here. I made a reservation at 7pm and had to wait 45 minutes before we were seated. I even talked to the host and checked the wait list. No one had a reservation outside of our party but they were all seated ahead of us.

I ordered kung pao chicken, spring rolls, and hot and sour soup for delivery. Everything arrived cold and no white rice was included with my kung pao chicken. The spring rolls were good (once reheated in the microwave), but the hot and sour soup was too bland. I imagine that if I had been given white rice, that the kung pao chicken would have been good. For $20 and an hour wait I just expected a lot more.

Very poor food quality, I had hard time to bite my Sesame chicken pieces. Inside, Restaurant needs renovation, looks like it was never painted.
Great food. Has authentic menu as well as an Americanized menu. The salted egg shrimp and the congee are two of my favorites.
I love their food, great service, even in these tough times. The Hunan Chicken and their Pork Fried Rice are amazing. Look forward to dining in when things get back to normal.
