Do you like paying $4 for water?

Do you like paying $4 for water?

Do you like having your sharpies (which I wanted to get merch signed with) confiscated by security because apparently they pose a serious threat to the bathroom walls?

Do you like having skanky girls screaming in your ear while you're trying to listen to Thundercat's rad bass solo?

Then House of Blues Cleveland is the place for you!

I don't care WHO plays there - I would rather drive 3 hours out of my way to catch a show I wanted to see at a different venue than EVER go back here again.

Just Don't Do It. You're thinking about it. "Oh, maybe this person just had too high of expectations, surely it's not that bad." I'm telling you, just don't do it.

I always enjoy myself at this venue. The food is very good and reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and helpful. There's a VIP area of you want to pay for a table. It's just the right size for you to be able to get close to the bands.

Saw the Fray and American Authors last month at an amazing concert in a great venue. The sound quality is fantastic and well balanced, and the room is small enough such that any place you stand has a great view!

I haven't eaten there yet, but I hear that the food is excellent! The reason why I like this place is because I work next door at Mable's B.B.Q. so I am frequently associating with their staff and they are the greatest people that you could meet. Plus they have some great concerts there as well!

Greeted with an attitude and was seated quickly but were quickly forgotten. Sat at the table for almost 20 minutes and never saw anyone from the staff to even take a drink order or bring water. The place wasn't full and there were several empty tables. We asked the folks next to us how long it took to get served and they said over 45 minutes. After that I knew it was time to leave. As I walked out I told the rude greeter that we never had anyone show up at the table and with his snotty voice asked me, what table was that, I told him to ask the person who sat us. Never said sorry or had any remorse for the lack of service. Will avoid that place for life.

Cool vibe but drinks were NYC-level prices. We had gen admission tickets, which we learned on arrival were standing only. Upstairs, that meant standing behind a row of tall chairs that circled the railing. The floor isn't raised, so you're left looking at the backs of people's heads. I don't think downstairs was any better.

Nice venue, kind of expensive on the alcohol. Great location with bars and restaurants right there. Although the floor seemed small, there is a nice balcony. Coat check in the lobby with merch available.

Rude, over priced....took problem to manager and she would not help us! Paid for VIP early admittance and were told to just go outside through general doors! So I paid for nothing! Venue to view shows is small cramped and their service is even worse! We had standing room up on balcony, which is better than the small, I mean tiny, chairs they have and after almost two hours into show we were asked to move to the back of the room, they were going to put stools up by rail, wide enough to rest drink on. They sold those seats and we would have to move.....we left! I wish Blackberry Smoke would play somewhere else, venue is HORRIBLE!!!!

There are many of these scattered around the US. This is about the Gospel Brunch only. Different than the one in New Orleans, mimosas are extra $, as is all alcohol. You get a pitcher of OJ and coffee at your table, but you have to walk to the bar for everything else - yes, even water! Odd choice, but that's the deal. Chicken/waffles and ham/biscuits were good by buffet standards. Omelettes might be a better choice, as they are made to order, then put on your plate. The gospel band on our Sunday was "on the way" but not stellar. Sincere and energetic, they had difficulty warming up the house. They could have used a real bass player, instead of the keyboardist trying to make do. Pitch confidence was high from the vocalists. These ears would have appreciated more female vocalist feature. All in all, we enjoyed ourselves, and would probably go back.

This is a great place for any foodie that also wants a great cocktail and groovy environment to consume it. The nacho appetizer was amazing and the yardbird chicken sandwich was juicy and delicious. There was also great souvenir is the attached store. Perfect place to eat before the Indians game. Quick, friendly service earned our server a great tip! We will be back!

I went to go see Queen Naija a couple weeks ago at the house of blues. Overall, I had a good experience. It was a cold night and by the time we got there the line was out the door (I went straight from work in Canton, OH and the concert started at 7:30). Rather than standing out in the cold my sister and I chose to do skip the line. Skip the line is if you make a $30 purchase at either the house of merchandise store or the restaurant you can wait in a separate (and usually shorter) line indoors. This is a good option if you can't make it early enough to stand in line on the inside or... if you just don't feel like standing in line at all. As you can see from the pictures, we ended up getting a pretty good view of the show.
As far as parking goes, we didn't have to walk very far from where we parked. We parked in a lot a couple blocks down from the house of blues and the parking cost less than $15 (I think 12.50, but I'm not 100% certain).
I couldn't see much of the actual venue once we were inside the concert hall because it was so dim, but we had a nice time. I felt safe the entire time, though the lack of metal detectors and security checks bothered me a bit (you can never be too safe in this crazy world).
The outside of the venue is a different story. I wouldn't reccomend walking in that area by yourself, especially in the dark. I don't know how the area is during the day, it seems like a bustling area, but during the evening my sister and I encountered a few weirdos and endured a few cat calls (we were both dress in a hoodie and jeans, nothing catcall worthy).
All in all, a good experience and I wouldn't hesitate to return to see another show here

Not wheelchair accessible. Called in advance to make sure it was. Then after driving an hour to get there, they made us go up an elevator into a back room full of storage with old tables and chairs piled up and boxes. It was pretty sad that a multi million dollar establishment would not give thought and respect to providing a nice environment for all people. We DID call in advance and they knew we were coming. I literally had to move boxes out of the way to get the wheelchair through. It was a very sad experience for the people I was with.
