House Hasson Hardware Company Review

I just wanted to thank your company and an employee for donating their ham to me for Christmas. It was absolutely an appreciated blessing. Thank you House-Hasson and Blue.

If you're driving an 18 wheeler sleeper with a 53' box trl..this place is not your friend...this place will challenge your driving skills no matter how long you have been driving ....

Drivers, be on time & everything will go fine. If the guard isn't in the shack, go to the 2nd building & stop at door 1. If the supervisor gives you a door past 3, DO NOT PULL IN. Back up, turn around & back your truck in to hit your assigned door, which will probably be door 6, 7 or 8. It's extremely tight pass door 3. Leave the attitudes at home. These guys are really cool. I got there at 4 & I was out by 5.

The security guard was good as can be....If you are delivering here. Please be able to wait. Arrived at 11 lefted at 525.... After I got in a door they unloaded me in 45 minutes....Be alert if you have anything booked for after...

If delivering here check in with security at main gate. Wait for them to give you a door get unloaded at building B easy in and out.

Security guard is nice guy. And that's all I'm saying about this place.

Seems like a great place to work. Interviewed with Jason Monroe and he really took considerable time to talk with me and was super nice. Seems like they have a great atmosphere. 100+ year company that has never laid anyone off...that s saying a lot! I like their strategy and their financial strength and leadership. Sure it s a great place to work with lots of room to grow.

I have worked for the company for 15 years. We care about all of our customers and our vendors. I work in tech support and receive phone calls all day long. If you are a hardware store owner and you buy hardware from House Hasson, it doesn't matter if you are a large or small. All customers are important to us and we appreciate you each and every one.

Truck drivers that don't show up on time and then expect our receiving crews to drop everything to unload their shipments tend to leave negative reviews.

Also negative reviews come from disgruntled former employees.

Its dirty in there. Everything is slow and the employees are treated AWFUL

Burning people out as far as working long hrs anything 12 to 18 hrs a day is to much on a person's body and 6 days a week !!!

Good setup, but very slow unloading. Uncertain about overnight parking.

our appt was at 11 am, we arrive at 10 am. receiver told my driver they will not take us till 1 pm
almost 4 hours at the receiver, still not empty!!!!!

Tight blind side back if delivering but good ppl fast unloading.

The plant manager Chris is as vile as they come. I try not let one terrible representative of a company ruin my opinion of the company as a whole but I certainly hope the owner somehow catches on to the destructive impact that just one "leader" can have on his lifelong business. Chris has little man syndrome and goes around speaking to hard workers like they are dogs which is the absolute worst way to improve operations of any kind. If you are a buyer then I don't think you'll have any issues as the office workers and order pickers are very efficient but if you are someone considering working here I'd suggest looking elsewhere..as in ANYWHERE else.

Only reason this place got 3 stars is because of the security guard. The security guard was a great guy, I showed up an hour early to my appt and they told him to make me wait, but he sat out and talked to me and continued trying to get them to let me in early to no avail (I listened to them come back over the radio and tell him no, I wouldn't be assigned a dock until 9am). He apologised and felt back knowing there were plenty of docks open. Once I finally got assigned a dock, I took my paperwork inside and I asked the first guy I seen if he was who I needed to talk to, and the responses I got from him were F#@K no, he don't get paid enough F-ing money to deal with us truck drivers and he didn't F-ing care enough to do it and told me happy F-ing Monday and drove off on his forklift. After wandering aimlessly around the dock, I was finally able to find someone to help. When I found them, all they could do was complain that the load I brought in wasn't the early load they thought it would be. Once all of that was sorted out, now it's just been a slow slow waiting game. Just over an hour so far...

This is a great family owned company, they have worked very hard to earn our business and it amazes me how well they continue to work through what we are dealing with right now.
