I recently started working at Hotelcare head office and I am very happy working here! The work ethics of the business is great, everyone who works here are hardworking and constantly focused on helping all staff across the business. The process is surprising streamlined compared to the other organisations that I have previously worked in. Overall highly recommended!

I am starting working with this company from one week now. I don't have any contract because I have been told from the hotelcare staff is not issued a contract.. that isn't normal. Secondly I have been told to contact hr which I don't have a contact number. I have spoken with both supervisors, the senior and the younger supervisor, which both of them doesn't have any communication with me. The youngest one she told me, don't ask me anything because I don't know nothing about what going on with u and if u will work or not. I asked, do u have a rota? she replied : no, I don't know. . Then I asked, I need coming back tomorrow!? she answered me I don't know. She doesn't know nothing.. What a supervisor!! and what a mess... I wake up to be at work for 7:40and wasn't any job/rooms to clean for me but for others girls, yes. Also this senior supervisor cone at work late every morning, at 9:00 pm. In this Croydon jury's inn hotel are all from Latvia and Lithuania, they don t speak English and the supervisor prefer to give hours to them and not me. How racist, selfish twisted person they are!? When I have started, I have felt like a forgein working in they country, which is tge opposite. Having been looking like I was stealing they job, when I wasn't. Also I have contacted this morning from the hotelcare management and he didn't reply me, they don t helping you at all. So, don't waste you time to work with this shitty company. Now after reading some reviews I am worry if they will pay me. Is unbelievable! Is a mess are rude and unprofessional forgeins. Plus I have find out the two twisted liers supervisors changed my time shift, sign in and out and signed for me with my full name.. they speak thyself!

Really bad company !!!

Almost 11 months I have been employed in the company and has already been given the greatest opportunity to grow and develop my skills and had the chance to work in HR Department and now currently working in SHEQ Department as a Supervisor. Amazing team spirit and a very genuine company who cares immensely about the people. So far, my experience has been great with Hotelcare and I am happy to be a part of our amazing team!

It is sad, that after working with hotelcare company as a slave, I do not have my payslip that is right. I hope that your managers who think they are very professional send them to me just like my p45, because it is right as a worker. Garbage, garbage and more garbage is this company.

These give over 20 rooms per attendant and apparently have a member of staff that can make a bed in one minute this tells me they are not changing the bedding, because it's impossible to do this if you change the bedding,it takes 1 minute at least to change 2 pillow cases, these are people who are buying out housekeeping in reputable hotels which will rapidly go down hill,as it will only take couple of minutes to pull up a bed that already has linen on means guests will be sleeping on dirty beds disgusting, from now on I will be checking who the cleaning company is before booking into a hotel

I am currently on my work placement with Hotelcare, so far the experience has been great! I am learning new things and work with an amazing team who have been very supportive during my time here. Overall a great company to work with!

When I went to the interview for hotelcare the supervisor and manager seemed really nice and friendly but obviously this was just an act they were putting on as they needed cleaners to clean the hotel rooms because they didn t have enough stuff , LOL I wonder why . This is the most disgusting, disrespectful and unprofessional hotel that I have worked in and have ever come across. The management of this hotel is disgusting and they do not care about their stuff . I was given training in two different hotels , Novotel hotel and mercure hotel, The one I will be working at , these hotel were completely two different types of hotel with different lay out of how they do the bedding and the layout of the bathroom . I mentioned to my manger that I have learning difficulty and then she replies back with it s just cleaning it s not rocket science. You don t have learning difficulties in talking do u as a manger how on earth can you be so horrible and disrespectful to a staff member. She was also talking in her language to other stuff and workers in that hotel about me . Overall please anybody that wants respect in a work place and does not want to be Threatened ,discriminated and disrespected do not work for this company . I have heard so many bad reviews already about hotelcare and even when you call them and want to talk to the manger they tell you to write them an email if you want to make a complaint . I will will be definitely taking this seriously! Nobody should ever get treated like this in a work place and feel threatened !!!

I came into this company knowing little to nothing about the unpaid wage problems. They don't pay some of their employees, head office in London pretends about not knowing the issue, and over work the room attendants. When contacting the London office, they put you on hold then when you call back then ignore your call. I don't recommend.

Bunch of liars if you ask me. I was grateful they took me on because I had been looking for work for a year. However they lie about everything. They lie about the money and how it's being paid, they lie about extra hours. They don't come straightforward and tell the truth. They re not helpful when you have complaints to make about abuse from the Head Housekeeper or other staff members. Instead it's more of they say one thing to you and say something else to the Head Housekeeper and then you get verbally abused by the boss for writing a formal complaint about what has been going on. There is no one who wants to help and even when there is, you re told to no longer contact the person. The hotel I was at was Citizen M Hotel in Shoreditch near Liverpool Street. I suffered a lot working for Hotel Care under the new boss, and all I got in return was verbal abuse, arguments, holding me back after work for almost an hour to just shout at me, putting me down every day before, during and after the shift, and I always went home in tears because of the behaviour and nasty attitude from the new head Housekeeper. No matter what I told hotel care, it was unheard and twisted so she could have a go at me. There wasn't anyone to help me out with the ongoing situation that in the end drove my asthma to get worse and for me to leave. The payment of the money was ridiculous, get half in two weeks and the other in another two weeks after the first. But it was always done like back payment so not something you could rely on if you had just left another job or just signed off benefits. I enjoyed it at first but after the new replacement, I hated my job because of the way this woman was rude to me and her threatening to get rid of me and cut my hours. Hotel Care didn't help my situation and I can see why other people left.

I have worked for this hotel for over 18 years and with Hotelcare for just under 2 years.
I have to say that this has been the best experience for me. I have been given fantastic opportunities to develop my skills and to assist in developing others. This would never have happened without the support and investment from Hotelcare. They are a genuine company who cares immensely about the people, putting their trust in you to do a good job.
The people are rewarded and praised for doing a good job and every effort is made to ensure the people are the front focus of their business.
I am very proud to be part of the company that has displayed nothing but professionalism, care and passion for each individual.
Keep up the great work :-)

I have worked in my current hotel for almost 9 years now and with Hotelcare for just over 3 years. During this time I have felt that my skills and knowledge of Housekeeping have been utilised well and have allowed me to help develop others within my team and company. I love that this company sees the potential in their employees and wants to use their potential for the benefit of both colleagues and the business. Great incentives for team members as well as monthly recognition, overall, a great company to work for.

Slaver of the 21 century.

Slaver of the 21 century.
Some people mentioned before me that they slave the staff. Thats real true. 20-23 rooms - 10min for stayovers and 19 min for large room ( departure room). They encourage housekeeping management to bullying. They are agressive using abusive language. They are not paying for stay after hours. Voluntary work !!!! The managers are licking asses of hotel care managers to get profits from slaving the staff in a hotel. And almost forget "Productivity,Productivity,ProductivityProductivity'' if you're not you are bullied to get out. To finish this review I have to mention that I am speaking about exact hotel - Double Tree Hilton Glasgow.

Worst company ever! May be comfy in the office for some, but normal staff like housekeeping who do the real work get treated like slaves! Holidays get taken away from them, and this was way before Covid19.
Also they take advantage of people when they speak less English and they know that they need the job

The company has changed beyond recognition in the last 6 months. We are delivering great client services through a talented, enthusiastic, motivated team. We are focusing hard on developing a culture where people enjoy coming to work, contributing to the business and grow their careers. I would recommend it to anyone!

As a newcomer to the business I can confirm my experience has been extremely positive. Great company, people are valued and their achievements are recognised company-wide. Great team spirit. Regular communication & updates from the business. A fantastic support network in place from head office to the Operations team, and to the staff at the numerous hotel sites. Friendly, helpful staff willing to share their knowledge and expertise. Development opportunities available to staff, at all levels. A great experience so far and a positive beginning to a career with Hotelcare!

This place is the worse place to work for and I would advise any one to stay away. My son with special needs went to work for them he was told he would get 2 weeks training. First day he followed someone around for 4 hours second day he was left to do the room by himself they said he had taken 2 hours to do one room and everything was wrong. My son had asked the person who was meant to be showing him what to do if the room was fine he said yes then went running to the boss and telling lies about him. My son did not take 2 hours to clean the room maybe half an hour but it was only his second day. Boss spoke to him and told he would lose his job by Friday. 3rd day I got a phone call from him saying that the boss had made him sign a resignation letter saying he had taken 3 hours this time to do the room and that everything had been wrong again he had asked the person who was meant to be training him if the room was ok again the man said yes it was ok. The boss did not even check the room she just said you take 3 hours and everything wrong. My son tried his best and the boss was told serval times by serval people in the hotel he has special needs and needs a bit more time to pick up the job but no. This company are disgusting and I would stay away from them I am putting in a formal complaint as they have knocked my son backwards as he can t understand why he was not given the 2 weeks training they said they was going to give them.

I've started working for the company just a year ago and since the new ownership the company has turned around dramatically from what it was and i'm happy to work here now. Any problems are addressed easily and its a great place to advance and develop your career.

Worse company ever. I stayed on with this company ...

Worse company ever. I stayed on with this company for close to three months. The first two months I worked, I never got paid and when I did, they somehow removed some of my hours and shortened my pay.

How it works -- You don't get paid the first five weeks (technically 4 weeks) then they process your hours on the 24th of the month, you should receive the first half of your wages on the end of the month then the other half on the second Wed of the following month. Keep in mind, you're on minimum wage and doing hard labor. Worst part, when they don't pay you for months and suggest it's your fault. Payroll department in London is awful, just horrible! Calling them is one job, emailing them is another. They don't solve your problems. Managers in London, no offense but it's just a bunch of white men in suits who don't have any sympathy for housekeepers. That's right, I said it. You reach out to them about abuse you're getting from your operations manager or supervisor, they don't do a thing! They don't give you uniforms, so you have to buy clothes that usually damage from cleaning products. What is weird is you don't have any money to buy your uniform.

Don't work for hotelcare. They don't pay. They don't care. I still not being paid for the hours I worked.
