A comfortable hotel with a thick Javanese ethnic atmosphere. You could say that the Royal Surakarta Heritage Hotel consistently carries the concept of art decoration that means local wisdom, from design to pillars, walls, floors, sculptures, carvings etc. For those who don't like ethnic decorations, maybe the taste is spooky. But for cultural history lovers, you will see the decoration / design full of ethnicity as one of the hotel efforts to protect cultural heritage and introduce it to foreign tourists.

Overall for friendly service, spacious rooms, fairly fast wifi, varied and delicious breakfast. The spa and swimming pool are on the 3rd floor. The hotel is close to eateries and the Solo Wholesale Center. It was a pleasant stay at the Royal Surakarta Heritage Hotel

Location number one ... !! The hotel room is comfortable and not noisy despite being in the location of the main street of Solo. Car parking space is a bit of an obstacle. The valet parking attendant provided by the hotel is very helpful.

Located in a very strategic location. Love the breakfast, great service and friendly staff.

In my humble opinion, you don't deserve the 5 stars anymore.

The lure of 5 stars, managed by Sofitel, accor group etc., naturally raises high expectations.

My bad experience started while parking the vehicle. I was asked to park in the basement, then we were confused about where to go, there was security standing only 2m beside us, extremely ignorant. Then we asked, directed to the elevator. It turned out to be a freight elevator, there was a kitchen team carrying a trolley, asking us to walk up a jagged incline with luggage etc. Yes, actually GPP, as long as the directions are clear. I am not a person who likes to be helped with luggage, but there has never been a hotel that has not offered assistance at all like this hotel, maybe it needs more ado at least? Even more annoying, when I got to the top, there was a better car, allowed to park in front of the lobby.

Entering the lobby, there is no temperature checking or any protocol (hand washing / sanitizer / others). Shifting to the receptionist, I made direct bookings via telephone, not from any application. It's been told I will check-in at 13.00. But at 12.00, I called, I will check-in late, at 15.00. When checking in at approximately 15:15, our room is not ready (at 3 pm!), We are still asked to wait. Then given a replacement room without an outside window, I refused, after requesting, then I was given a normal room with an exit window.

Continue to the room. Outdated, need renovation. But it's OK, the risk of booking a hotel that is> 10 years old. Cleanliness is OK, can be improved, the dust on wooden furniture is easy to see. However, the bathtub has no lid, no small towels (must request!). When the towel is delivered, the clerk ENTERS THE ROOM WITHOUT KNOCK. Hot water only appears> 5 minutes. The color of the bath towel is very bad, so I didn't ask for a change.

The Covid protocol can be maximized. At a time when most 5-star hotels already have SOPs for employees to enter rooms taking off their shoes, this does not. Our air conditioner doesn't know whether there is a filter or not, whether the air is combined with other rooms or not. There is no temperature check / hand washing orders in the lobby. But receive breakfast in the room. In natural attractions in Magelang alone, the protocol is very strict, you know, this is said to be a 5 star, how come it's like being cool?

1. The first time I arrived at the lobby, the concierge was just stunned, even though I had already told you that I would check in.
2. Check-in was fast. On the way to the elevator, a hotel employee offers a cake with a 50% discount (maybe because it's above 6 in the afternoon)
3. The executive room I ordered was quite spacious and comfortable. And most importantly soundproof. It's just that in the bathroom it is dangerous for older people because the floor is slippery when wet.
4. Indoor pool is not too large next to the fitness center
5. Breakfast ckup variety and taste is not bad. There are jamu kunir asem, kencur rice and ginger. Only limited to 50 people who can enter
6. Check out went fast
7. Once again the concierge does not respond when the car arrives. In fact, chatting with other guests, feeling ignorant and jutek (even though I gave a tip at the beginning and not at the end). Finally my sister and I took the things from the trolley and put them in the car.

Conclusion: it's a shame if this hotel is tarnished by a small problem like this. The staff and other employees (apart from the concierge and security guards) are very helpful and friendly. Ask the management to correct the performance of the concierge and security guard. So that the hotel image is not tarnished.

We are very happy Londokampung family living in the Royal Surakarta Heritage Solo. The first thing my wife likes is the welcome drink provided in the Lobby can be enjoyed anytime and refreshing, besides the room is also clean and big. So inviting small children can help because there is space for my children to play and free movement. For me personally, the breakfast choices are so many and delicious. Every day is different. So while staying there for 5 days I was very satisfied to eat and not bored. Unfortunately there are no facilities for young children. The facilities are also ok, there is a swimming pool and very complete gym equipment. The location is pretty good soale near the wholesale market and the big solo market, as long as there is a culinary center so eating is also close. Quality exceeds price.

For the room in the room, it's International standard because it's a good Accor Group hotel. It's just a pity, there are 2 puppets placed on the room and bathroom writing desk and there is a mask next to the entrance. The puppets were terrible and haunted, and they felt so bad that I asked the officers to remove the puppets and their masks. After being removed, the atmosphere of the room is different, cool and comfortable. The parking lot is a bit cramped, many other guests don't get a parking space so parking is outside the hotel.
For those who want to take the time, just buy a solo pancake on the right side of the hotel that goes to Bank Mandiri. Serabi solo owner has been selling for decades so it feels authentic and delicious. I had bought a lot before leaving the hotel and continued my trip to Semarang, only unfortunately because I forgot, the H + 1 pancake was stale because there was no one in the car forget.
Overall, satisfied with this hotel both in terms of price, service, buildings, officers, etc.

A good place to stay during holiday in Solo Surakarta. The interior design reflected about Java cultures. And they have a good service for costumers.

The interior is very Javanese. But unfortunately the room is narrow.
