Excellent breakfast and that is the only thing that deserves 5 stars. There is no need to talk about the situation. Let's start with the greeting: very cool
We were greeted with polite words, but not friendly.
Our luggage was taken from us, but we were allowed to look for the room on our own.
Not so easy in such a palace.
5 star hotel is different!
The room was clean and tidy, but unfortunately too warm. After a short conversation with the concierge, the friendly house technician was sent to us. He couldn't solve the air conditioning problem. I contacted the concierge repeatedly. The following was announced to me: Just ventilate it properly and it'll work. I can't help you ad hoc. Of course he couldn't help me, but a free drink at the bar or some other concession would have been extremely appropriate. You might expect such behavior in a small guesthouse, but not in a five star hotel. The Taschenbergpalais lacks love for the guest and therefore this was my first and last stay there.

Mega location! Mega decor! Mega room! Mega breakfast! Mega service! Mega friendliness! Here style and taste meets cordiality and professionalism. A guest feels welcome and valued from the first moment. A favorite hotel in my favorite city!

I am ashamed of five stars. Perfect. Because it is in the old town, it is easy to access the sightseeing spot and Zwinger palace can overlook from the window. The bathroom was large and I had a very satisfying stay.

A hotel that lets the most powerful and corrupt people in the world meet for a few extra dalers has lost its dignity. The speech is from Bilderbergertreffen ... There are many beautiful hotels in Dresden, which are therefore more recommendable than this one

More appearance than being. The services do not correspond to a 5-star level. We were not informed in advance that the spa is closed. Only on request we were informed. Likewise we were not informed that on Saturday until 18 o'clock construction work with the appropriate noise pollution will be carried out. The hotel and our room was not usable for us at all. On Sunday the breakfast room was completely overcrowded. We had to wait in line first, then we were led into a dark side room. Here was only very dim light, so you could not even read the newspaper. The highlight was then on departure. For about a quarter of an hour we were left waiting for our car in the cold. Only after renewed demand, it was finally brought. Everything was always with a "Sorry" dismissed, where you could really feel that it was not meant seriously. Instead, then 50 euros parking fees for two days. Each coffee capsule in the room is an extra Euro. The service in this house is definitely not worth the price. They will not see us there anymore.

I am always treated very courteously here. The staff is always friendly and the rooms are clean and spacious. Sure, if you search, you will find something to complain about here too. So the lamps with the colorful balls in the hallways could be freed of dust. But maybe only I notice this because I really don't find them suitable. One can argue about taste I would even replace them with new lamps. But that's just my opinion. Otherwise I think everything else is chic and I always feel very comfortable here. Best address in what is probably a great place in town!

This palace is definitely worth the money you are paying. Perfect in everything: location, service, breakfast, spa area, room etc. And even Salvatore Ferragamo toiletries in your bathroom. Impressive indeed!
The only, minor, bad thing about the place is the noise coming from the street. But this is the very heart of downtown, what can you possibly expect

The staff is amazing. Super friendly and eager to help. The only downsides on my stay were the bathtub door that didn't close all the way, and because of that the water was leaking and making a mess on the bathroom, and the pool as an atmosphere to relax you, with lights and ambient sounds, however, some rude guests went to the pool and started to jump on the water and making a lot of noise. Was kind of a bad experience. I'd say that the hotel needs to make a better statement about the relaxing idea and ask the guests to be cautious about it.

We were there for breakfast only. Although the selection was not bad, there are other hotels offering a better breakfast for the same or lower price.
In winter, an ice rink is built in the courtyard. The scenery is beautiful, but the price is quite high for the small area.

Every year between November and January we go ice skating here! It is by ambience with the most beautiful thing there is! One thing is natural .... Are proud prices .... Couple running 25 ... 2 mulled wine 18 (10 deposit). But the mulled wine is the best there is and hard to recommend. Not such a sweet cheap drink as the Christmas market.

Great hotel in the middle of Dresden. Very busy touristy, especially on weekends. The breakfast room is a bit small, so that form queues. The staff is not so friendly, the concierge is very good especially when it comes to the sights of the city. The restaurant can do more than show it.

The hotel itself met expectations, which unfortunately cannot be said of the hotel's Karl May Bar. On the website and in the hotel, the opening time is given until 2 a.m. On a Saturday evening, when we arrived at 0:30 a.m., we were told that we would close earlier today and there would only be one drink. To our lack of understanding and disappointment in the face of the surprisingly early closure, the staff reacted extremely snappy and served grumpily. With all understanding for the staff in the catering trade, this behavior is below level, especially in a supposed top house. For me, at least, never again Karl May Bar and Hotel.

Beautiful historic hotel. Our suite was absolutely beautiful, with two rooms with high ceilings. The service is impeccable, they took care of us, and helped us during Christmas when we failed to make dinner reservations. Room service was also a wonderful experience, the food was delivered fast, fresh, and delicious.

Spent a great short break here on the occasion of my fiftieth birthday. I still know the house as a fire ruin, of which only part of the outer walls remained. What was rebuilt here can hardly be put into words. STRABAG made a great short film about it.

My table was set for breakfast on my birthday and a small present was waiting from the kitchen. In addition, a young lady came from the management and congratulated me personally.

Egel which employees of the hotel one had to deal with, one was treated not only as a guest, but as a friend, more like in a guesthouse than in a cool 5-star hotel!

Yes, its in the centre, looks nice from the outside, nice service. The room has big bathrooms and comfortable beds. Overall, inadequate price/quality. Ugly interior, cold rooms, dead lightbulbs, old phones in everyplace (80's?), no teakettles in the room which is a standard in every hotel - tea costs 13 euro. Naked cables coming from the ceilings, cables on the floor. The furniture are taken from my grandpa's basement. We found some insects in the bathroom.

We were in Dresden last fall and had chosen the Kempinski Taschenbergpalais as accommodation. The lovingly restored hotel is visually an absolute treat. The rooms are excellent, the service is good, the reception very friendly. The concierge, however, has a catastrophic behavior and is just very rude, especially to children and teenagers. Where this arrogance rested was not apparent, ultimately we are not really interested, but a house of this category should better choose the main contact person of his guests. A tip to the hotel manager: Take an example at the Kempinski 4 Jahreszeiten in Munich, or the Adlon in Berlin. There, this place is perfectly staffed and alone enough reason to visit these houses.

The equipment is according to an upscale hotel and the service is very friendly. Unfortunately, however, there were minor incidents that were noticed during the stay, which can usually be overlooked but should be expected in an upscale hotel. The bottom line is that it is a nice hotel, but the service does not compare to hotels like the Adlon, Excelsior Ernst or Four Seasons.

Unfortunately the hotel neither asked for feedback nor if the stay was satisfactory.

The rooms are OK, the beds are good, the bathrooms are a bit small. The coffee of the capsule machine in the room unfortunately costs a little extra, which is very unusual. On arrival, there were hairs on the bathroom floor, which were then removed by the housekeeper. The orientation in the hotel is difficult, the signage is not enough. The hotel has a nice wellness and swimming pool area. The gym is small, with too few equipment and inappropriately equipped. The bar is very stylish and has a very attentive service. The breakfast is great, but the service could be a bit faster. The supply of coffee breaks at our event was good overall. However, once was cold coffee in the pitchers. The function room was only limited useful (too narrow, screen too small), otherwise the service was impeccable. Check-in / check-out has worked out professionally and quickly. The parking in the garage costs with 25 per day too much, the underground parking of the Semperoper in 500m distance only 5 / day.

All in all the ambience is a very attractive hotel with a perfect location in the old town, which however does not meet all expectations of 5 star hotel.

It is a pity to give this hotel only three stars as the location and the building itself are super .. A 5 star hotel "must" be perfect and this includes among other things a flawless condition of the hardware and a perfect service quality .. The first impression at the front desk, the wall behind and the floor moldings littered with scratches. The check in was as it should be .. The paneling around the elevator was not clean. The elevators themselves are already getting old. The wall corners in the hallway had chipped off. The room, scratches and scratches, no free water provided, paint chipped off the furniture. The door frame in the shower cubicle is swollen by the humidity. There were no slippers available, on request at the front desk we were told that we could get some at the spa, instead of bringing us to the room immediately. The spa, well water was refreshing not pleasant for the winter, the metal doors for the emergency exit and the solarium rust, door handles were loose and no longer fixed. The breakfast was great and leaves nothing to be desired .. It is only minor things that can all be fixed quickly but that makes the difference.

Kempinski Hotel Taschenbergpalais was a great place to visit in Dresden because its looks. One step in there, and you feel like you're in a palace. They treat you like your the Queen of England there. Plus, Barack Obama stayed there and loved it!!!!!!

A city luxury hotel to my liking. In my assessment today I would like to focus on the most important facts and would also like to let some of the attached pictures speak for themselves.

The reception was befitting and as expected. As soon as we arrived, the car doors were opened for us by the staff. Of course, the suitcases were unloaded and brought to our room. I usually park my car myself, for this there is an underground car park with very favorable conditions! The check-in went smoothly, our room with a view of the kennel was ready for us before 2 p.m. The SPA area is quite small, but it is completely sufficient for a city hotel! (Where else should you build all this?) The in-house bar is top class, there was live music on Saturday evening! The breakfast buffet was also convincing, although it is "manageable" by Kempinski standards.

The 5 stars not only go to the great luxury hotel, but also to the very competent staff. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff once again. Without all of you this luxury hotel would be worthless - you make the hotel top class!

Thank you for the great overnight stay. In my opinion, the Kempinski Dresden is definitely THE luxury hotel in Dresden!

We were guests in this house for the fifth time. And this stay could only increase our enthusiasm. This house exudes a unique charm that is unprecedented for me. And this charm also includes the often criticized signs of wear on the doors. My house also shows such traces after 25 years. That s why I don t change them all the time. This hotel is simply inhabited! I can live with it. Even in a 5-star hotel.
The staff are incredibly friendly. The reception is already inviting. A question that was not answered in advance by email was quickly resolved. The spa area was very well remodeled and we used it extensively including massages. Breakfast in the newly designed restaurant leaves nothing to be desired. At least not for me :) A visit to the Karl May Bar should not be missed!
Conclusion: we would love to come back. Just keep doing it!

Wonderful feeling. Great stay experience, I really like this time-honored hotel, just like staying in the castle! The location is also very good and convenient! The room is very tall and very clean, except that the mattress is too soft, there may be more people living in it, the middle of the mattress is recessed, but I will continue to stay here next time!

Completely overrated! In our room fell out of the wall and the service in the evening, I wanted to drink with my husband / two cocktails, was underground and overbearing. Never again. At the next Elbhangfest we will definitely stop somewhere else.

A very attractive luxury hotel with an excellent location. Opposite is the Semper Opera House and the Zwinger. In the marble hall there are occasionally unusual concerts. The staff of the house is always very attentive. Special requests will be considered. The rooms are large and spacious and always clean. We come every year for 2-3 nights and are always warmly welcomed. In winter there is a small ice rink in the courtyard. Around this rink small huts are built which provide for the physical well-being. The hotel is highly recommended due to its special construction.
