Very unique cake, considering it is the most famous chocolate cake in the world. The history behind it is intriguing if you get a chance to read it while there. I enjoyed my time in the cafe and not too expensive.

We were only in the cafeteria to try the Sacher cake. It costs more than 7 euros a portion with a little cream, to that you must add the drink you order, you will need it since THE CAKE IS DRY like the Sahara. I have tried them much better. They sell you a seemingly luxurious experience but it is a tourist, if what you want is a photo for Instagram, see, but you can save it.

One of the best tarts I've ever had.

Although the sacher is a well-known cake, you will find it in any corner of Vienna. The favorite and clearly the best place to taste it is in the hotel / restaurant where it was created. Although its price may be somewhat higher than the rest, the quality of the dessert and what you order you notice. Also I have to admit that I don't know if it's always like this, but the service that attended me was very nice, always with a smile on my face and with a great disposition

Instead of busy, the service is a bit slow.
It was about 17 euros for Zahar Torte, Melange Coffee and Cappuccino, but I asked for a service fee and I paid cash instead of paying for the card. The taste was good! But I do not think you should give it a lot of cake if you do not like it. Zachar Torte is great.

We ate at the Cafe Sacher in the hotel. We had the famous Sacher Torte which was pretty good although not quite as good as some of the tortas offered at the many other cafes in Vienna. The service was lovely and the apple strudel was good as well. We enjoyed our visit.

The hotel was not. Review about the cafe: Well, the place is glamorous, publicized. They took Sacher, strudel, champagne, coffee. Everything is not cheap, but it is the center and history. Sacher didn t like the cake at all, taking it knowing, since he also read reviews, but took it and ate it. Then there was a feeling that I had eaten fat pilaf, although maybe I just didn t have to drink it with champagne. Take a strudel, it's good. And coffee. It will be better and cheaper.)

Amazing food and service at the Restaurant Anna. Attentive staff that's knowledgeable and always ready to provide recommendations on food and drinks. The atmosphere is regal, transporting you back to old Vienna. The restaurant is small enough to give it a personal vibe. Nothing about it seem commercial.

Luxury hotel that presents the original recipe of the Sacher Torte of Vienna.
Elegant the branded wooden box with the logo of the hotel where the cake is given. Definitely expensive but elegant, exceptional staff and always available.

Phew, difficult. On the one hand a place of longing for tourists and thus completely overcrowded. Probably the most boring Sacher cake in Vienna (dry like the Sahara, for durability f Shipping). On the other hand, top service at events. 3 stars are fair

Sacher torte was delightful. Some people say it is not moist. But i think thats how it is, not all cakes should be moist right? Although theres a diff between not moist and dry/old. I didnt like their apple strudel- no hint of cinnamon and it was really bland.

This is an absolute 5/5 experience.
I wasn't booked in for apartments, i've only dined in their caffeteria, which is the best one i've been to.
Extremely cozy, stylish, numerous opportunities for romantic moments if dine with your partner!

The traditional sachertorte in the cafe-part of the hotel is a staple of Austrian cuisine. The service is of a high standard and the atmosphere is quite formal, but dont hesitate to visit the official birthplace of the famous Sachertorte!

Basically very nice atmosphere but unfortunately is badly exploited here as a tourist. Just 6 euros for a normal coffee, which is everywhere else and not even very good. The staff served very listless and you have to wait a long time. The cake itself was dry and nothing special.

Over the top! The Sacher is simply a very special hotel in Vienna with an extraordinary flair. Today I was allowed to take a look behind the scenes and I am impressed. Every room radiates so much warmth, charm and elegance, no matter where you look it is timeless and really chic.

When visiting Vienna, be sure to plan a breakfast at Hotel Sacher with your loved one. For a nice start to the day, the rich and varied breakfast buffet is a dream. The staff was very friendly and competent. There are a number of traditional, sumptuous rooms to choose from, to comfortably enjoy the genuine Viennese coffee house tradition.

During my five-day stay in Vienna I went to the sacher hotel, to eat just a sacher, twice. The cake is really delicious and very refined location. The chocolate of the sacher is distinguished from all the others, and reinforces the concept that in this place the true sacher is eaten. Obviously everything is accompanied by high prices compared to the average but, in my opinion, the original sacher cake is to be tried at least once if you are on vacation in Vienna!

The cafe downstairs is where you get the famous sachertorte. I thought that was underwhelming, and kinda dry, but I really liked the pancake with fruit jam and plums. The menu also doubles as a magazine promoting their brand, which came off to me as having a Trumpian attitude about bragging. Sentences about how "successful" the hotel is are kinda weird. Not "well-liked", but "successful" is what they choose to highlight. Maybe it's something lost in translation?

I'm not usually a lover of the sacher cake, but this is an exception. Very good and to try during a stay in Vienna. Elegant palace and cafe where you can eat a slice of cake accompanied by a coffee (around 10 euro, fair price compared to the quality and location). The adjacent shop where you can shop is also nice. Sometimes a little 'waiting to get in, but it is normal as the cafe is literally assaulted. Recommended.

Perfect place! Of course, only the queue spoils everything. Although we stood for 5-7 minutes and already at the table. We dreamed of trying the Sacher cake, and it was only because of this that we went. Honestly, a place at a time, but still a yummy cake!

We had already visited the Sacher Hotel in Salzbur...

We had already visited the Sacher Hotel in Salzburg over Christmas a few years ago. We were so impressed by this stay that we decided to visit the main building in Vienna. We have fulfilled a supposed dream for our 22nd anniversary. When we checked in we were awakened from our dream. They insisted that the credit card details be handed over so that the room rate was guaranteed. I can understand. We paid for the whole stay in advance by EC card. Then they wanted a deposit of 300.00 from us for possible restaurant visits or the minibar. As I said, we don't want to leave our credit card details, so we HAD to leave the deposit in cash. Well ... an advance room payment of 1600.00 ... so it's understandable that you would probably want to cheat the hotel otherwise. The day was over. Well, the restaurants and cafes can't really be visited anyway, as there are usually only places for the public. Maybe you should ask yourself at the Sacher house whether hotel guests really want to sit next to students and tourists with face masks. In any case, we didn't ... we felt like we were in a fast-food restaurant ... sitting, ordering, eating everything quickly, during which time it is cleared and please out for the next public guests who are already in a queue in front of the cafe stand. Family cosiness = zero
Well slept very well, the next morning the skin peeled off the completely calcified shower head, if the jet hit one, we went to breakfast. First there were 20 minutes in line to get a seat. Every 3 star tourist hotel can do better.
At the buffet rich with one kind of cheese slices, otherwise only strong cheese from the board. 4 types of sausage, of course the legendary truffle ham is off. A soft-boiled egg ordered, which after opening it glibbled in front of it because it was still half raw. If you order a latte macchiato, you get an espresso macchiato ... it doesn't matter, the room has already been paid for
Order scraps, which naturally have to be re-salted, when the salt shaker is empty it becomes difficult with salts. The day starts great ... you are in a good mood right in the early morning. It doesn't matter the city can't do anything for its hotels. We have a
found great little bar where we can have breakfast tomorrow. Once Sacher Vienna and not a second time. Sad that your own guests HAVE to use the surrounding gastronomy to get by. I read about love in detail in a brochure today. Does that mean the lampshades that are crooked all over the house? Or maybe that the hotel guests are completely neglected? It greets the unfortunately very dissatisfied room 716.

Very popular and historic place for afternoon tea. The service was excellent and food was good fine. A good place for afternoon tea if the line is not too long. There are two separate lines that go to different rooms so be wary of that.

Very nice, and it's a classic point to go and see once you're in Vienna. Adjacent is the homonymous pastry shop where you can taste the real Sacher ... The only compromise is the price. Keep in mind that a single slice to be enjoyed at the table can cost around 20 euros.

Nice day. Greetings. I am a passionate student of cooking and together with my colleagues we will pay homage to your magnificent and historic Sacher cake. We will celebrate its existence, merging its essence with art, so today we come to you in the hope that you can provide us with the name or important information of some work of art exhibited in your hotel, and close to the cake so that we can set the space that has been thought with so much love and admiration. It would be a great honor for us to receive a prompt response from you. We said goodbye from Venezuela.
