We thought that a visit to the Sacher is part of a stay in Vienna:
The Sachertorte was excellent, the Extended Brown as well, the young ladies and gentlemen of the service were courteous and so the financial expense was appropriate: Highly recommended

I was only in the cafeteria to try the famous sacher cake and I have to say it was spectacular, both the cake and the hot chocolate.
Undoubtedly worth a stop and enjoy this famous sweet.
I do not give it 5 stars because they are taken advantage of and the price is somewhat high.

Went for Sacher cake to hotel's restaurant. I won't comment on cake as it's up to individual taste. I came in at late hour, from rain, and quite tired after whole day of sightseeing. Ordered just coffee with piece of cake to have a taste of Vienna most popular sweet. Apparently I haven't meet waiters requirements or standards as they were very pretentious. Apart from that restaurant is quite nice.

Unfortunately, very unfriendly staff at the hotel entrance. Otherwise very nice area, the rating is pressed only by the service of the staff at the hotel entrance, especially if you want to enter the hotel at night. I still recommend the hotel, of course, very nice rooms and great food!

The mythical place to try the typical Sacher cake!...

The mythical place to try the typical Sacher cake! We ordered two cakes the classic of dark chocolate and one of white chocolate !!! This last one my favorite the thin layer of white chocolate with delicious almonds and the biscuit with a touch of orange and ginger! The rich Sacher cake ... nothing great. We ordered green tea to drink and it was a good choice. The price is more or less 3 more expensive than in other places.

When you get inexplicably upgraded to the six (or is it seven?) room Presidential Suite on your Valentine's day trip, and your dream girl proposes marriage, it would be churlish to leave anything but the most effusive 5 star review. That was all 15 years ago, so I'm a little sketchy on details now, but I do remember that we had the most marvelous time.

Thank you Hotel Sacher: we look forward to seeing you again someday soon for the reunion. With or without the fancy suite.

Hotel symbol in Vienna, famous much more for the cake than for the hospitality bar, however of the highest level, with staff very attentive to the needs of the tourist
Well-appointed rooms with soft colors that encourage relaxation, even if they should be refreshed, a central location with convenient transportation, high prices like the quality of the products used in the restaurant and the structure

The place is beautiful but the service is very slow. After queuing forty minutes to enter, when you get it they leave you left at your table another half hour. The cakes, sacher and others, very good, but the coffee arrives cold

With the reservation everything worked out great, without I would not recommend, because now in the summer can form a queue, food excellent, the ambience a dream, the waiters were friendly and attentive despite very full cafe and "the" Sacher cake what should I say, we still have some "ToGo" taken with practical wooden fork!

I would strongly recommend Hotel Sacher for anyone who wants to stay somewhere with a historical feel and an unbeatable location. The rooms are absolutely stunning, appointed in a more traditional manner, but not in a way that feels what my husband would call "old lady-like." The bars and seating areas around the lobby are deliciously sumptuous, plus the food is impeccable. All weinerschnitzel will taste a bit sad in comparison to the weinerschnitzel of Hotel Sacher, and of course one need not even bothet mentioning that their Sacher torte is worth trying. Love this place!

Disappointment. Tourist trap. Long queue. Small tables very close to each other, unfriendly staff, astronomical price. Framework that is nothing exceptional for Vienna. And the pastry is good, nothing more. Conclusion: do not wait 2 hours to get back to it, there are other places in Vienna that deserve your time and attention.

Another wonderful stay at the Hotel Sacher Vienna....

Another wonderful stay at the Hotel Sacher Vienna. This time we took my mom's sister with me. She was, as we always are, totally impressed with the Hotel Sacher. It starts with the reception, you are always greeted very friendly and helpful. The check-in is smooth and pleasant every time. You are greeted politely by everyone, it gives you the feeling of being a special guest. The location of the hotel is very central and is directly opposite the Vienna State Opera and right on the pedestrian zone, perfect for exploring the most beautiful area of Vienna on foot. From the outside, the Hotel Sacher Vienna looks very nice, but if you really want to experience the hotel properly, you must have been a guest in Sacher. This is the only way to get a real impression that this hotel is a very special hotel with great history. We have had the pleasure of staying in a few rooms at the Hotel Sacher as guests, each individual room is individually and perfectly designed down to the smallest detail and offers absolute luxury in the finest quality. No room is like the other. We are therefore happy to get to know a new room every time. There is complete cleanliness in all areas, we always feel very comfortable. The entire staff is very well trained, you can tell that everyone in their area is doing their best and communicating this to the guests. A big compliment to everyone, and congratulations to the hotel manager, Mr. Heilmann, who made this hotel a unique, wonderful hotel. Bravo!

I was in the Cafe, I made a queue of about twenty minutes to enter but it was really worth it, I took the classic original sacher cake, EXCELLENT. Magnificent place, classy. Obviously expensive, but that was to be expected

I really like the Sacher cake, one of the world famous desserts.
The upper layer of chocolate is thought to be crisp. The smooth and smooth mouth of the entrance is integrated with the dense cake layer. It is not sweet but slightly bitter. It does not make people feel tired. It is accompanied by fresh cream and has different levels of taste. Vienna detour Come also
Must eat!
