Aloof and extremely rude personnel account for half of those we interacted with at this hotel, a totally unacceptable ratio even if the other half were perfectly professional and pleasant. The negligence or laziness shown in room service and guest services make the price impossible to justify. We even witnessed an elderly couple turned away from check-in after 3:00 pm for a second time because their room was still not ready. You are much better off at the Hotel Berri a few streets over, where 100% of staff were the epitome of professional and passionate about their establishment.

This is a nice hotel, l would definitely stay here again. Some European cities a 5 star hotel would be an American 3 star but this hotel is what one would expect from a 5 star hotel in the US. The only issue I had was with the door guys, arriving and departing, no help or offer with our bags. Not something you would expect to happen at a 5 star

Please excuse my late review as I stayed in October 2019. I would like to thank your staff for such a special honeymoon for my wife and I. Paula at the front desk was amazing. Not only were we upgraded but she personally walked us to our suite. We will remember her for the rest of our lives. Definitely made us feel special with the amenity sent to our room. Gracias Paula! The hotel is very clean, and the staff is exceptional. The food and drinks in the hotel are great!!!
The problem is the incidental fees. They hold 100 per day for incidentals. I was there 5 days. So, I had 500 in limbo the entire stay. I talked to American Express and they said the merchant can release the hold immediately. I ask the front desk, and they said they could not. The room was prepaid for the entire stay. I wouldn't mind if they verified the validity of the card, and I pay for each meal or service as I go. I don't know when hotels will stop this practice. The real problem came at checkout. I was told that the 500 could not be used for the 130 in meals, and they had to run my card again. I showed them that I already had 500 in limbo and they wanted another 134. Ridiculous!!!! So, as I hear home. I have 634 against my available balance on my AMEX that the 500 may take up to 10.days to be released.

Don't stay here if you aren't prepared for this type of activity.

We've been at the Prince de Galles for two days. It could easily be a 5 star hotel if they attended to some of the basic things you would expect from a Starwood luxury property. For example, the rooms are quite nice but showing their age. Our suite has gouges on the door, scuffed base boards and scratches on the bathroom counters and tables. I could get past all of that if the service were 5 star. Some of the staff try hard, but I've grown tired of hearing it's not possible for small requests like taking a drink from the bar to our room, getting a table for lunch in a restaurant that is obviously not crowded, etc. When you do get a table for a meal, the service is hit or miss. We ordered waffles for breakfast this morning that never arrived, and we heard other guests discussing similar issues. As a Starwood Platinum member, I've come to expect more than mediocre service - especially at one of their luxury properties.

The brunch is divine and the chef Adam benthala is present by his presence and kindness in this kitchen open to the room where customers take pleasure to admire the chef and his team. The service is also very welcoming and smiling.

Prince de Galles. Nothing but 5 stars.

Prince de Galles. Nothing but 5 stars.
We were not staying there, but we wanted to experience the hotel.
We walked in, in jeans and tee shirt, and asked at reception if it was OK to have a drink in the bar.
The lady who dealt with us on reception told us it was not a problem and personally led us to the bar, holding the beautiful art deco door open for us, and passed us over the the waitress in the bar.
We were asked where we would like to sit.
When seated we were given a drinks menu.
I basically had a bottle of beer and my wife a glass of wine which was promptly served, a taster of wine first.
No crisps and nuts here... Coated almonds and olives!
Service second to none. At no point were we made to feel like we shouldn't be there and we were not made to feel uncomfortable.
Enjoyed it immensely. Staff and service top notch.

I ordered the galette des rois to have a good time with my friends. But by the time we ate this cake, we were all angry. It's useless to buy this cake. I never use it even for free. Does the pastry chef, he works well? The chef must taste the cake at the supermarket. Thank you for ruining our evening. I am shocked by your competence Nicolas Paciello :-) !!

The wonderful pastry of the excellent chef Yann Couvreur !!!

What a delight !

Inescapable, its signature dessert the exquisite millefeuille.
The dough is thin and toasted panini style and the vanilla cream is divine. A perfect balance of flavors, not too sweet and airy!

His cakes are also very successful.

His strawberry scones are just crazy!

This is one of my favorite places for me tea time !!

Great place to stay in Paris. The room was clean and very comfortable. All the staff was very helpful and courteous. Again the problem I have with Marriott properties is the rooms are never ready at check in. A promised 3 pm checking the room wasn t available until 4:45.

I have tasted other tea times in other palaces in Paris and this one is not really recommended. What I appreciated least was the staff not very welcoming and smiling and the setting of the place.
Otherwise the scones, the cookie, the salty part were good without being transcendent. The 3 pastries were very delicious. The 3rd part of tea time surprised me a bit because they are classic travel cakes.

Hotel is first class from check in to check out. Was upgraded so that is a plus! Morning intercontinental breakfast was great featuring many options from eggs prepared how you want them to pastries, fresh juices and more. Room was spacious and homey and all staff were incredible. Close to most tourist sites and a block from the Champs Elysees for all your shopping needs! Thanks for a great time in Paris!

Even if I was only here for one night, the hotel made a very good impression. From the check-in one was accompanied to the room. The room itself was very modern and equipped with all the little amenities you need as a traveler. The Nespresso machine in the room is a very nice and useful idea. I particularly liked that the room service was also available in the evening and that the room was ready at night. Breakfast was plentiful and of high quality, with the possibility of having various dishes freshly prepared.

I was completely satisfied with my stay.

The Prince de Galles is a beautiful hotel with a great location. The designers clearly pay attention to every small detail and it really shows. The bed is very comfortable and the hotel is spotless.

The hotel did have a few issues but I look forward to coming back. The garbage truck comes every day at 7:30 is it is very loud for about 10 minutes but otherwise we had a great sleep and the hotel overall is very quiet. The shower takes about 5 minutes to become hot. Also they did a bare minimum for starwoods platinum. The breakfast is very limited and only consists of only bread and pastries. Also we only received bottles of water every other day and they were tiny. When we asked for an extra bottle they told us to call room service. By contrast when we moved to the W hotel Paris we received a nice plate of cakes upon arrival, a suite upgrade and a nice breakfast .
