Very neat hotel (the gardens are beautiful) and extremely friendly and attentive staff. Variety of activities if you want to spend the day there. Very good breakfast buffet, there are a couple of restaurants (western price) of very good quality and varied: Japanese, Mediterranean, Balinese ... Absolutely recommended.
Perfect place to stay with young children. A lot of kids activity, like drawing, roasting marshmallow, playground (they disinfect all the toys regularly), feeding the fishes, sand painting, canoe, bike riding, etc. Excellent service, nice staff, perfect health protocol, nice room & bed. We took the room with direct access to the pool which is perfect.
Interesting place and lots of wonderful Balinese people working round the clock. Nice bunch of restaurants. For one Japanese is well built and serves great food. They also have colourful hindu religious dance. Beautiful. Lots to explore espicially the surroundings including waterparks and shopping centre. A huge variety of stuff avaiable in the shopping area along eith lots of restaurants.Exotic dances included with meals. The downside is rooms need updating. They are good but lot of improvement can happen i.e. room cleaning and house keeping needs some good management.
The hotel itself is nothing special.
Breakfast buffet has a large variety, although there are unfortunately only 2 different juices, orange juice and pineapple juice. In the case of fresh yoghurts, however, there are definitely 5 different ones, such as Strawberry or mango. If you want fried eggs, scrambled eggs or omelets, you can queue up at the cook and express your wishes.
The beach looks very nice. However, swimming in the sea is almost impossible, as you probably have to walk for at least 10 minutes until your body is in the water. We ran in forever and stood up to our knees in the water. But then algae and seaweeds came on the bottom, so we didn't walk any further. Is very sad. I wouldn't spend my vacation here just for swimming, luckily we made a tour of Bali beforehand, and we're only here to relax for a few days.
We usually spend these at the pool, as "bathing" in the sea is not fun for us. In addition, beach vendors come to the beach about every 5 minutes, which is also quite annoying.
A shopping center is about 10 minutes away on foot with normal prices. Here is i.a. also a supermarket for those who, like us, only booked breakfast. You can buy a lot here, even sparkling water, which is not so often here.
Disappointing experience with Melia, arrived and the lock was malfunctioning we had to ask for a technician to be replace the entire door lock. That took over an hour to fix.
We then requested an upgrade, more than happy to pay for the room rate. However, we were informed that the Villas do not cater for children.
The bedroom with pool access was dated, not very clean. To add to our frustration levels the was mould throughout the room and the ceiling and walls.
Aircon was not working properly, even to add salt to the already open wounds. The bed linen was not clean and our daughter bed had holes in the bed linen.
A real unfavourable commentary that we need to leave.
The website imagery is not a true representation of the room. Be very careful when booking with this hotel.
The Guest manager then expressed that we could not have a refund, but suggested that we could upgrade to the Villas. But, we remind the manager that the Villas do not cater for children.
The standards have dropped considerably - my parents use to stay in this hotel over the last 16 years and are still very good friends with the previous GM of the hotel.
The staff were very apologetic and accommodating. They understood the situation after we showed them all the photographic evidence.
Disappointed for my family. But, now we are heading to the Westin.

Two-floor room with two bathrooms (for two guests) at an affordable price, nice even if a little dated. Beautiful structure located on the beach, even if the sea withdraws at midday. Good breakfast, very kind staff

Perfect resort in the main area of Nusa Dua. Just step away to Nusa Dua beach, Bali Collection, & Water Blow. Also they have a clean private beach. Although the interior looks a bit old fashioned, but it still comfy. Large tropical theme swimming pool & kids friendly. And various menus on breakfast.
My friend will stay at this hotel ... He told me to look for a hotel so I looked for a hotel near my house. Hehe
Has been best holiday experience yet, rooms are great staff are extremely friendly & accommodating. The resort provides plenty of activities or you can sit back and relax. They have 5 restaurants we tried all but 1, we would rate the food 4 out 5. They have a package called my time which is a must and a voucher system which gives you 25% of you're resort purchases (must purchase before buying anything, on check in) cheers Ali & Gavin.

Nice hotel, but personally it was too crowded
All were at the pool were occupied, even if no one was on it. Also on the beach it looked hardly different
If you want to travel all the way to Bali to stay in an overpriced, expensive resort so expensive it makes your stay uncomfortable, All the while losing the feel of Bali go right ahead it's your money.

As a family, we took the swimming and dining package, which was not recognized by all restaurant staff. I tell you how, then okay, we relax. The beach club and restaurant crew are friendly and nice. Just suddenly the Front Office said he called asking us to come to see our vouchers, which we only used for a few days at other star hotels. From the beach to the front it is far, and is it true, telling guests to come, not only those who come, moreover it was the fault of the hotel team or Marcomm for selling vouchers but the team at the hotel did not know at all. It's weird. We do not want to go forward, and in the end they can solve the problem themselves.
Basically, Santeria's food was nice, although overpriced. The quieter pool at the villas was nice, clean, but sadly has no shower for guests who buy the pool package. This is very weird. The main pool is a bit dirty, filled with leaves. Ambience by the beach is nice, unfortunately it's not so private because there were sellers coming and forcing us to buy their stuffs or water sport package, also people were staring, so it's better to move towards the hotel and not towards the middle island, eventhough the cabanas are nicer over there.
A 5 star hotel in Nusa Dua area which is quite spacious and directly faces the sea but unfortunately security is not professional (asking guests' names like guests are criminals) and there cs not serving but like a ruler
A grand hotel in picturesque surroundings. The staff were very attentive and helpful whenever we needed their assistance.
The breakfast is vast with many healthy options available. Food at the restaurants is enjoyable though pricey.

To go more into details:
When you arrive at the airport make sure you have a planned ride to take you to the hotel. You can arrange that prior to your arrival with the hotel. Once you arrive you are greeting with the gong sound and you go into the reception where you are treated like royalty. Me and the wife had the All inclusive package that is absolutely worth it.
The beach is not very deep but very relaxing. The staff is so friendly it is unreal.
The breakfast is very tasty and there are amazing choices and fresh squeezed juice.
For lunch or dinner you have 5 different choices and the food is top notch.
There are plenty of activities to do around the hotel: ping pong/chess/volleyball/on site spa (not included in all inclusive)/free paddle boarding/ free bike rentals and you can go around the site.
The location is safe within the complex. If you do decide to go see other activities, which me and the wife did, make sure you plan it with the tour guides that will be visiting you at the beach while you are laying out. We did a full day tour that cost us 120 US dollars but the tour guide spend the day with us and took us to a lot of local places that normal group tours wouldn't take you.
All in all it was one of the best experiences we ever had.

Hotel located in the area of Nusa Dua Bali. This hotel has a spacious garden and cool backward. Minimalist themed rooms, quite good but can be improved even more. Friendly employees. The hotel has its own private beach. One of the advantages of this hotel has a restaurant on the beach. So guests can eat while enjoying the beach waves. The menu has an explanation of what contains glutein, pork, etc. And this can be further improved.
Breakfast is quite diverse. For some rooms located on the lower floor have access to the swimming pool surrounding the room. Complete hotel facilities, kids zones, bicycles, spas, salons etc.
Nice place, service is slow, the check-in took forever they seem to check everything with their managers. At the beach bar the service was a joke both to order the drinks and to get the bill. They should employ more English speaking staff.
We chose this hotel as a start for our Bali vacation. Very clean and very quiet hotel with very friendly and very attentive staff. Beautiful garden with mature trees. All inclusive we can only recommend - great kitchen. Large breakfast buffet.

We had a great stay at Melia. Would have definitely given an extra point if there were some more options at the breakfast. The food options at breakfast buffet were same for all the 4 days we stayed there.
Idyllic, beautiful... choose one word that means pretty or just perfect for a break from work (life) and this is the place. Whether you have kids and want to keep them entertained, or your a couple wanting a great beach and lovely surroundings.. Melia Bali is the one. Not one member of staff let the team down.. they were polite courteous, and genuine in their desire to make the trip perfect. I screwed up on reading my bill correctly and they were calm, and took the time to allow my brain to catch up lol.
This is a go to place for me in Bali, right next door to Bali National for golf (do the sundowner).
Highly recommend the all inclusive, it was excellent value!
The park is really very beautiful, and the hotel is "right on the water", but it is really huge and quite a tourist factory ...
The staff is very nice, many activities are offered.
The rooms are really not at the level of a 5 star: smell of humidity, blah mattresses, general impression "old". The bathroom needs to be completely redone (important, the ceiling is lower in the bathroom, so if you are + 1m90 there is a good chance that you will not stand up when you want to take a shower ... )
In short :

- rooms and size of the hotel: not ok
This place is lovely and great for families .. I found it pricey and breakfast not the best , beach is ok bar is usable but I will not return as there are better places with better rates
For a network of 5 stars, very few sun beds on the beach. Guests are forced to rent sun beds in neighboring hotels

Booked this for honeymoon but is quite disappointing: the hotel is quite old and everything is worn down, rooms, restaurants pools, towels, sun beds. The rooms are also a bit smelly and the beds moist although the room has a/c. Staff is nice but services we have paid for are not offered. In summary, it is okay but nothing I would recommend.
Beautiful locale, gardens, buildings and especially lovely team who look after you. The only place we'd holiday in Bali, truly relaxing and a special place.
We stayed there in December for a week all inclusive and I was very sad leaving the resort. The service is above and beyond across all the departments. Always greeted with a smile and very punctual service.
The kids loved it so much and we will definitely be back this year!!!

Lovely private beach servicing the resort. Only down side is the tide goes out around 1pm so you'll have to move to the poolside if you want a dip after then!
Luxurious, 5-star hotel with 5-star services and facilities. It has a beautiful white sandy beach at the back and a beautiful garden at the front and a 18 holes golf course that is managed and cared for very nicely, beautifully and professionally.
Stayed for 2 nights, breakfast was not as expected as 5 five stars standard, too crowded and not much variety. Toileteries ( shampoo and conditioner was not from a good supplier i guess) overall v nice place, clean and friendly staff.

The exteriors are beautiful and well maintained and the staff are lovely and very professional like everywhere in Bali.
The problem is that you will be in a tourist enclave cut off from Balinese life, everything is five times more expensive than elsewhere and you absolutely need a vehicle or a taxi to get out of this ghetto.
We had a problem with the pipe odor in the room and were upgraded
This confirms the kindness and attentiveness but has not changed our feeling of confinement, Bali is a magnificent island with accommodation on a human scale and of high quality everywhere!

Just to give an example, the room safe broke down, when I got to the room from the reception the employee was already there to solve the problem.
