Prime location at walking distance from Railway station. Not enough insulation from the noise outside which could be stressful if you plan to spend more time at the hotel.
The morning buffet had good variety of Indian and continental food and tasted good.
The only hitch about the service is they try to cut cost on refilling the toiletries.

Madurai residency is a hotel located in the prime spot of Madurai. Dinner at the Roof top of this hotel is awesome. Viewing Meenakshi Amman temple tower at night from Roof top restaurant is the recommended view of Madurai
This hotel is majorly for business traveller's and not meant for family. You will find mostly males in the hotel. It is in a very busy district. The people at reception are not that great. They would try to charge a little extra for whatever reason. The staff at the hotel would stand in your room after bringing the luggage and would not move unless you handover some tips to them. The only good part of the hotel is its proximity to the Meenakshi temple and its breakfast. The restaurant at the hotel is quite good.

The hotel is situated in a very busy street and that is the only drawback about this hotel. Check in was smooth, all the staff were welcoming and well behaved. The room we got were little small. The complimentary break fast was good and sufficient

Pleasant hotel with a very good location between the train station and the temple. Clean Aircon room with breakfast buffet for around 45 euros. Not particularly equipped for the price range - there is neither a safe nor a refrigerator. They wanted to quarter me in a pitch-dark room without daylight first, when I protested I was given a room without a view (first floor), but at least with daylight.
Rooms are average. Only AC no fan. AC remote has provision to control only temperature!!!
There is no airflow.

This hotel is just 1km away from Meenakshi temple. You can easily see temple from hotel window.

Place was near to Temple however rooms are small in size. Biggest blunder they made by taking my car for valet parking and didn t give me the key back, their front desk told me that it s safe with their security however on next day checkout, to my surprise, my vehicle has driven 30kms extra which was illegal/dangerous per law and not per my consent. I informed to their front desk and they said ok which looks to me that they are aware of the situations for their mischants. Don t listen to their stories/excuses and make sure you took you car keys with you even if it s their valet parking. They aren t going to help you if your car found used illegal by their mischants. Highly unethical.
