Hotel La Sciara Review

Amazing view from the pool and the place is cost and nice. There is a free transportation from the port. However, the shower head was broken and the Wi-Fi is bad.

A hotel of great charm that has always been able to welcome me in a very familiar way. The kind and helpful staff fully met my needs. Good quality food, in short, I just left and I have already booked for next week. I recommend it

DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BANK ACCOUNT DETAILS. I wish i could put zero stars. They literally took 108 euros out of my account 1 week after the reservation for nothing. Everything was paid for. They admitted their mistake but two months later they still wouldn't give the money back.

I am still waiting a refund of 100 euros the hotel took from my account without reasons. That was two months ago. That s scandalous. Careful, they literally are thieves

Never been there, cancelled already in november 2018 (free cancelling) and in july 2019 they charged creditcard for 484 Euro. Ofcourse you can make mistake but after three times contacting this hotel they never react although I have send them all details and provements of free cancellation and I have asked them for charging back. This behaviour should be a reason for never booking this hotel... Big warning!!

After some weeks I received the money back, but really without any excuse or saying sorry! Really amazing

A structure worthy of the name it has conquered over the years. A pearl still partly hidden in the panorama of Aeolian hotels. Re-launched after years of inactivity, it is now well-run and offers high-level rooms, services, meals and assistance. All in the magic of an island dominated by one of the very few active volcanoes in
World. Rooms spread around the park with swimming pool, each with a special view. Ours (corner) ranged from strombolicchio to the volcano. Rooms (spotless) simple but tastefully furnished (beautiful ceramics) like all common areas. The bathroom may have been sacrificed a little, but functional (a line of branded products could be included). A special mention for the assistance that advised and accompanied us from arrival to excursions and practical advice. Particularly courteous staff, without individualism, made even more pleasant the time of breakfast (large and varied, especially on desserts) on the terrace overlooking the park-pool, dinner (excellent raw shrimps and swordfish rolls) and of cicchetti by the pool. We listened to their advice we did "chez peulo" a beautiful boat trip to Ginostra (departure 6.30 pm and return at 9.00 pm with a stop and visit of the village, aperitif, sunset ...) with a night passage in front of the sciara (that of the volcano ) with a view of three eruptions. Sleeping in La Sciara is an experience to live, at least for one night for anyone planning a stop in the Aeolian Islands.

The hotel is very nice, spacious rooms. The context is well cared for .. even if the beginning of the stay was not the most "nice" (lack of shuttle to reach the hotel with only paid service), in the end I reassessed the place. The breakfast is buffet style and abundant and rich. The price of the stay is good compared to the stay.

Very nice hotel with a nice pool and free shuttle to the port. 10 min from the beach. Breakfast was great. The personnel was very friendly.
