Truly a 5-star hotel. Would have given it 6, but it wasn't an option. Good sized, clean rooms and the friendly staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome.

Spectacular hotel !!! My room overlooked the Sydney Opera House, the huge super clean room, it has a capsule coffee maker and a refrigerator, very important if one does not hire breakfast there (40 dollars ...)
The staff well there ,,,, nobody spoke Spanish it is a huge super complete Hotel (gym, pool)
Important SUPER WELL LOCATED, I would return.
Good food which was presented and cooked very well, the buffet could do with more dessert options apart from the relatively standard offerings
Excellent service and polite front desk ,even when we ask them what is what, they explained well about everything until I understood. Love to visit again and again
Girlfriend has been in there for two weeks for self isolation after returning from overseas. Been given the same food every single day for two weeks.
We had dinner at Wine and Co restaurant located inside the hotel. Fantastic beef steak and ribs. The wagyu beef tartar was to die for. Service is excellent.
The people were not friendly and management was very stubborn about a lot of things. Great location and rooms, but management is just ruined the experience
Staying at this hotel was an amazing experience. Paying the bit extra to get access to club intercontinental is well worth it. Never have we experienced such attentive, welcoming and friendly staff as we did in this hotel. Thank you for an incredible and memorable stay!
Plush hotel at the right end of town. Tastefully restored to keep its architectural heritage.
great rooms and great rates, however the room service was not so great but we enjoyed our time whilst there.
Good room with a good view. Little dated but still a lovely stay
We had a buffet lunch. Nice relaxing atmosphere. Good service. Food was as expected. Hit and miss. But overall a pleasant experience
Service was good, taxi/drop off road is poorly designed. Could not leave because the road was blocked by another taxi dropping off passengers.
Nightmare stay with some of the worst service I've experienced in thirty plus years of international travel. Rooms were fine. Food ordinary. Service, very poor. How did Australian services standards slip soooo far?!
Hotel offers impeccable service, rooms with great views, and it's only two short blocks to the famous Sydney Opera House and Circular Quay.
Great people, nice room, excellent location. The only minus is the Roman era plumbing.
The room was spacious and clean, everything you would expect from an InterContinental. Great location, just a few minutes walk to Circular Quay. Just note that they don't have complimentary bottled water so you will have to bring your own. There is a mini bar in the room where you can purchase.
Absolutely no care for guests in Hotel Quarantine. Petrol stations have higher quality food.
The worst place i have ever been invited. It is 1230am and i am driving home due to rude staff (nathan) at concierge. Vanessa is the loveliest person i have ever met but nathan Has made us feel so unwelcome. A 1230am departure is quiet un settling and i expect nothing to be done about this person, that is how money works doesnt it, i just thought you should know a lovely first weekend off without kids in 5 yrs has been cut short by an absolutely abhorrent attitude displayed by your staff. I will never be staying again, i will never recommend staying to anyone and i will be expressing my disgust to the national rugby league and Victoria bitter brewery upon which booked our stay with you. Good day i wish you no good intention.
Good selection of food and great service. Very busy for Sunday lunch at Cafe Opera.
Amazing view, quality luxurious accommodation. Clean, deluxe facilities! Majority of staff treat you with courtesy, however the receptionists don't make you feel welcome and have a "know it all" attitude which really got on my nurves.
Great location. Friendly staff. Room as expected. Only lost a star because of poor service during high tea in the Cortile
Nice but getting tired. In need of an update. Can only trade on the views for so long... And of course you pay a premium for those.
I attended the InterContinental for a Wedding reception. This Hotel doesn't dissapoint as a wedding venue. Excellent service, good food....A very charming place to have a function...parking is easy to find with Wilson Parking just down the road...This place is trully a Sydney Landmark... A must go to place if you want to experience Sydney with the Opera House just a stroll down the road.
I attended a function at the intercontinental and it was great. Really well set up, great food, great venue. Highly recommend if you are holding a function.
Building which feels the history. Calm and good atmosphere. The service is also good. The hair dryer in the room was very bad. The concierge who understands Japanese was at the front desk. Bezimite is moderate.
Service was great, the ambiance felt exactly what a 5 star hotel should be
Luxurious hotel with a great view. Convenient location to ferries and cruise ships
Beautiful hotel from the outside and the lobby. The service is below a four star hotel level. There were many small incidents during our two consecutive stays that lead us to believe the hotel has some serious process or oversight issues. The rooms and club are quite dated and would urgently need a full refurbishment. The blue screen of the old Philips TV in the room is a bit spooky though not the worst part. The hotel location and premium views are nice, but other hotels in the area offer similar perks at a lower premium. I would not advise to stay there.
Great seafood buffet selection at the Opera cafe. If it provides salmon sashimi that'd be even better
Environment is good, reasonable supply of seafood.
Trying to deliver a mass booking for an international act. Could not find the service more frustrating. No willingness to go over & above.
Holds many great functions and fine dining - almost can t beat this location
I'd love to review this hotel but unfortunately I'm too busy throwing up and dealing with a migraine because of the lobby smell. Smells like a man that doesn't have any self awareness or sell his body for money. Absolutely unbearable.
It made my eyes water for 10 minutes after I left! Their excuse is it's their brand scent. Really worth triggering guests migraines and panic attacks. Their solution was to cancel my booking.... During vivid, when there's not a single hotel open in the area. I was booked here for work because of the location and nature of work. That's not a solution.
The breakfast area also reeks of cheap cologne, which is baffling, as restaurants should smell like food.
Great hotel on Circular Quay. Connected to a restaurant with fine cuisine. Recommended. Would eat there again anytime. The espresso is unbeatable. An absolute must.
I was on the 27th of September 2017, the hotel was luxurious and clean but the service was very slow to wait for the room key. We had to wait almost 1 hour, I was a little disappointed with the check in service. thank you
Service was amazing by all staff even the cleaners all very courteous. Food at the buffet breakfast was amazing
Buying a gift certificate is a cumbersome manual process!
The room is clean but the men's bathroom on the first floor is not dirty
Good selection of seafood especially the prawns, oysters and Morton bay. Wide range of desserts. The meatier section could be improved with better range of dishes.
Terrible experience at IHG Double Bay, Sydney. Party goers take over the place with noise in the early hours of the morning. Management appeared disconcerned with our issues and complaint, neither were they inclined to offer or accept any compensation. Will never stay there again.
Great! The Hotel is located in cetral area, very good facilities and services
Fantastic views. Fantastic breakfast. Room was very comfortable and decor very classy and clever.
Location was good, and it was a hotel according to the image.
Was the very first time I stayed there, and I can definitely say that I will do so again. Was very impressed with everything, especially with how you made my daughter's 18th birthday special when a lady knocked on the door with a birthday surprise from the hotel. It was so lovely. Thank you for the complimentary upgrade to a harbour view to help celebrate her birthday too. She loved every single minute of her stay, from the magnificient views, delicious food, complimentary drink, very comfy bed, and friendly staff. We couldn't fault anything.
Arrived after 22 hour flight to be greeted by friendly attentive reception. Excellent room with blissful bed. All the staff were friendly and professional. No faults
Went for the coffee high tea and had a fantastic time! The food was absoultely delicious and the staff kindly catered for vegetarians without hesitation. Each layer was filling and staff brought out the hot foods at the perfect time. an intimate setting meant that there was ample time for speaking to friends.
This is an ideal hotel for your stay in Sydney whether vacation or business. Not only is it close to all the ferries and the beautiful harbour, but the interior design is simply elegant and the staff are very welcoming. There is simply no better location or value nearby 5/5!
Innvitaional event hosted at the Intercontinental was great - friendly and helpful staff in a great event space.
Very near to the Sydney opera house. Botanic garden is just behind the hotel. Enjoying the morning run everyday!
Even though I booked Club Eastern Harbor View Room from the hotel site and paid high rates, it was on the 20th floor
Different rooms on the middle floor were assigned with club access only. By the way, it is a platinum elite member. From the room, the previous apartment blocks the view wonderfully. This hotel is quite decent. A person with a good comment happened to be lucky. You should be careful.
The lobby drink area was friendly with good service.
Stayed overnight here and was upgraded to executive suite. Some elements were exceptional including the view, the space of the suite, the facilities and the breakfast however some of the fixtures and features of the suite were dated and other things were frustrating including waiting for 4 minutes for the concierge to answer the phone or the long wait times for lifts. Overall still a nice experience but unfortunately not the best hotel I've ever stayed in.
Well run conference, and great mix of old and new architecture.
Outstanding rooms, would have been 5 stars but the windows need cleaning to take full advantage of the amazing views
Very good function rooms. Except maybe signage was a little lacking.
Delightful staff. Amazing views of Sydney. Nice vibe all round.
Welcoming staff were nice... but hair on the towels. Took 30 minutes to check in. Bar didn't know what Mezcal was. Advertised a rooftop area that turned out was $250 extra for even one drink. Disappointing experience. Go somewhere else. Hotels 2 blocks away are far superior.
Smaller than Yokohama's InterContinental. Her husband acclaimed the room service hamburger. Cafe cake was also delicious. The staff is kind and the service is perfect. A convenient place for travelers.
We arrived very early to the hotel and was greeted by the very professional and helpful staff. Although we were a little early to check in the staff did everything they could to make us feel welcome. We were offered a place to change and store our bags until the room was ready. We were also given a code for free wifi while we waited. The room was fantastic and the view was great. the pool is located on the 31st floor and the view was incredible.
Great service, great hotel, and lovely buffet breakfast!
The event I went to was excellently set out and catered for. Staff were always friendly and willing to get anything we needed. Great place for an event.
