Clean room, quiet. Good location, right by the subway stop. Highly recommend for couples.
Breakfast was great for the money too.

Location = BEST
Rooms = BEST (comfortable).
Staff = ALWAYS SMILING & HELPFUL.
Bravo.
Just watch the hidden dust at the lamps, wardrobe and TV racks.
There are no extra amenities for the Ibis London city hotel. Set your expectations for accommodations when in London. The hotel is clean, quiet with adequate rooms, no bathtub and the washroom was a cubicle like thing dropped into the room More
Modernly decorated clean, unfortunately the selection at breakfast not overwhelming as described where else for less money had more
The hotel is very conveniently located.
The Tower Bridge is within a few minutes walk and an underground station can also be found in the immediate vicinity.
The breakfast is otherwise delicious and the selection is very generous! :-)
One point deduction, unfortunately, for the not really available storage space possibilities. Nevertheless we would come again!
Comfy bed, clean room and friendly staff. The bathroom is quite uncomfortable and they force you to BUY the adaptors for your electronic devices for 5 pounds.
Small rooms, but clean and with good connections to the underground service.
This is a modern hotel. When you first arrive you have to look twice because there is no reception. There is personal waiting by the entrance to help you with checking in. The rooms are oke, nothing special. What I found annoying is that the bathroom is in a "plastic cabin" in the room, that makes a lot of noise when somebody is in the shower. Luckily you don't hear your neighbors at all.
We had a very good stay at ibis in Shoreditch! The hotel is just around the corner from a subway station and in the area there's a lot of good restaurants, also Brick Lane is just next by. The rooms where clean, quiet and new as well as the rest of the facilities. It would have been great to have a mini fridge and a safety box in the room. We did not eat the hotel breakfast as it was a bit expensive and you might as well have it in any of the excellent cafes in the area. Also we had an incident with someone working at the hotel banging on our door at 9am, waking us up only to ask if we where checking out today.
That aside it's a very good hotel in a nice area and we would definetly come back!
I would recommend! Great hotel and friendly service
Really nice hotel very friendly staff to greet you. Rooms are tidy and smart but for a pretty central London hotel for a work trip couldn t fault it.
Clean and pleasant. Only fault was the shape of the plates and some other features which are symptoms of overzealous design.
Well I enjoyed the room but I was very disappointed their was no reception so it was odd we did not know what to do and then when we did sit down the staff dealing with us unfortunately had the wrong information and didt understand English which made things a little difficult to explain. When we went to have dinner in the restaurant at the hotel the food was very good but the service was appalling we ordered a starter and a main and both turned up at once which I was very cross about because we could not eat it all at once and the food went cold when we did eventually try to eat our staters after are mains because it had all come at once when we asked the waiter he seemed to have no clue what was going on about why we had it all at once none of the staff did and then when we tried to ask what was in one of the sauces we had ordered the waiter had absolutely no clue which was very disappointing as a waiter you should have some idea what is on your menu it was all just very disappointing considering we had just stayed in a ibis in France the week before which we could not speak highly enough of.
Decent hotel, weird bathroom. The bathroom is a plastic box in the corner of the room. Air conditioning not very efficient.
Very good hotel. Friendly staff. Modern interior. Big TV in the room.
I had a nice stay!
Good quality for the price..and decent breakfast. Top location for city.
Will happily stay there again. Central position cheerful and comfortable
Hotel very welcoming, just like the staff. The hotel is well placed, close to the metro.
This hotel offers a very good buffet for breakfast
The previous online check in everything was on arrival quickly and without complications. The staff was very nice and accommodating!
The breakfast was excellent!
Magnificent hotel, we stayed several days and the truth is that we loved the service, the professionalism of the staff and the location, the very clean rooms and everything correct, the very spacious entrance area and above all the services that are near the hotel such as restaurants , food stores, metro and a fairly large avenue, in general a recommended place and above all VERY GOOD quality / price ratio.
Room is super quiet and spacious for two. Quick access to tube.
Great hotel, good location, accomodating staff - this hotel has it all.
Our stay was pleasant as usual. In addition, this time we were assigned a room on the 9th floor with a nice view of the new buildings in London.
Fantastic hotel to stay - extra clean & beautiful breakfast selection. Complimentary dinner after hot water not available in morning - more than expected but certainly well appreciated. Love it!!
To recommend. Newly renovated, very modern and friendly. Room size perfectly adequate.
Our room was on the main street, with ear plugs I could still sleep very well.
The bar is great.
Great staff, very friendly.
Basic, compact room with nice, modern styling and setup.
Good hotel, suitable for young people, reasonable price and excellent location in the Shoreditch neighborhood.
A little overlap in the cleanliness of the room sometimes, in the morning it is difficult to catch an elevator.
Good hotel in Shoreditch. The staff was nice and the room was clean. The breakfast was okay for the additional price you had to pay.
The location is very close to the tube and there is a supermarket next to it. The hotel is very good for a short weekend trip to London.
The heating in the room was minimal. Basic toiletries missing in the room. The view was not great either.
Liveable, but I expected more. The same breakfast everyday gets a bit monotonous.
Stayed with my son on a work trip. Good location, very friendly staff. Nice and clean.
Firstly, the staff here are amazing. They are so incredibly helpful, hospitable and friendly and every, single, one of them went above and beyond.
WiFi is also important at any hotel and we stayed on the top floor right at the end and had a fast reliable connection.
The Room is basic but has all you need and does it s best to feel reasonably luxurious given the price point. You get everything, from extra pillows, to a desk to a digital tv.
The location is great and right next to a tube station, Tesco, cash point and the brilliantly cosmopolitan Shoreditch.
This would be a five star stay apart from this hotel having my two pet hates! A shower fan that WILL NOT TURN OFF! It was squeaking away all night! The second is - no air con, but an air circulator that guess what... doesn t turn off! ALL NIGHT!
The staff can not be to blame for these building defects but my god do they ruin an otherwise great stay!
Very well placed but works on the 2nd floor so a little difficult to reach his room. Home nonetheless pleasant and very good varied breakfast and English breakfast opportunity!
Nice hotel nice location room was a bit small but overall lovely stay
Had nice days. Hotel is located in a good location (close to Liverpool Street Station, Tower Bridge, Brick Lane). Full breakfast. Good welcome and service.
Lovely staff so friendly. Didn't keep you waiting for anything. Nice comfortable room. Only downside is there aren't enough tables at breakfast time.
Good rooms, but breakfast quality/quantity is not the best
Everything was amazing. The check-in and check-out were the quickest! The room was clean. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The breakfast collection was nice. I'll definitely come back here when I go to London.
Nice hotel but I wouldn't book again.Too expensive for the rooms they provide.
Really friendly staff and beds are heavenly comfortable!
Great location in a nice lively neighborhood, tea place in London! Metro qque no, market, restaurants and cafes to plug in 10 minutes on foot! Enjoy this hotel with a modern design
An ibis with a twist. Usual rooms, comfortable bed etc. Lobby area is quite animated an staff friendly and casual.
Very friendly staff and service. Room was clean and tidy and have all the essentials. Very nice location in Shoreditch, around the corner from the starion.
Modern and clean for business and short travelers suitable hotel right in the center.
Small rooms without storage possibilities. If possible only to sleep. Breakfast and bar
We did not use, because better in closer environment.
Really nice hotel in the city centre of London. The stuff was very courteous. The room was absolutely okay for one night. The bathroom was clean and there was a hairdryer. The AC was a bit to 'weak' for the hot summer.
Poor check in experience (again having booked with Accor website) had to book again and pay again
Noisy air conditioner had to switch off - overflowing shower as didn't drain away properly
Poached eggs at breakfast replaced by truly awful scrambled eggs - (Accor hotels always do poached eggs)
Check out being told I had I paid for breakfast (again this has happened before) and having to wait for someone to come out of the office to tell me what I already knew - that I had pre paid for breakfast
Poor all round I'm afraid
Recommendable to other traveller! It was all in all pretty good! Comfortable bed, clean shower, cleaning service was great too.
Breakfast tased good!
Only improvement: We couldnt cool down in our room, so we had to open the window, which was very loud because from the noise outside.
Really nice staff, good and clean looking room, good food and nice location close to everything
Good hotel, clean, tidy, not too much fuss around it. Young staff who do everything with the cell phones (check in / out)
Also not expensive, recommended
see title ...
Congratulations to the staff for the welcome, both at the reception and at the restaurant!
Very good standard, especially in London where English hotels are very expensive and outdated
small improvement possible: having a second chair in the double rooms is more practical
American traveling to London for the first time. This is a wonderful hotel and I highly recommend it. It's well priced, clean, comfortable, and in a prime location to the tube and sightseeing. Everything "touristy" was a quick and easy ride on the District or Central line. A few things I thought I'd share: There is no AC in the room (there is heat). Apparently this is very common in London (according to one of the bartenders we chatted with at a pub within walking distance). The good news is you can open the window a few inches to freshen the air. We were there in March and the temperature outside averaged in the low and mid 40s. The room was always comfortable. The bathroom is like a cruise ship bathroom (capsule type plastic room), but with a larger shower (the water pressure was fantastic). Only room for one when getting ready. There is no small fridge or microwave, so keep that in mind if planning to keep some drinks or snacks cool, or want to make some popcorn. The room is small. There is enough room to walk comfortably around the bed. There is room on a stand for one suitcase, and if you don't want to sit at the desk you can use it for the other. The closet is not really a closet. You can hang garments in it... Probably 5-10. There is no phone in the room, but if you need assistance you can text a number (or walk downstairs). Again, a fantastic place to stay and I highly recommend!
The hotel is very nice and the location excellent!
In the immediate vicinity there are 2 underground stations - Aldgate u. Aldgate East - and in about 10 minutes you can walk to Liverpool Street Station. Since we had a room facing the inner courtyard, the night's sleep was very pleasant, you didn't notice that you were actually in the center of a big city. At breakfast you had a large selection and the buffet was refilled until the end. I can highly recommend the hotel and will definitely book it again on my next trip to London.
Rooms immaculate, staff brilliant, 100yds from Tube . Cheap. What more do you want for a London weekend?
We booked the IBIS in advance. And without breakfast. Around the hotel there are many breakfast cafes. I can recommend the Aldgate coffee house. We had room 518. Very small but adequate. We really only needed it to sleep. It was clean and tidy. The toilet / shower room was a plastic box, the sink a little too small and for two people too little space for utensils. There was a kettle, two cups, coffee and tea for a hot drink in the morning. You can load without any adapter all devices that you can plug into a USB socket. I found that very convenient. The location of the hotel in the immediate vicinity of Liverpool Street Station (terminus of the Stansted Express) is also optimal. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk.
I checked into the room. First of all, the A/C is broken. They moved me to another room. They handled this well.
However, when I woke up in the morning. The room was so dark. The power went off. They don't even have the emergency lighting. I used my phone and managed to dress up. I went down to report to them. The first reception person asked, did I put my card into the slot? Shoot, they are not listening. Of course, I did. They checked my room. It seemed the main power is dead. Anyway, I went to have the breakfast first.
By the time I finished my breakfast, I checked with front desk personnel again. She said the fixed it. But, she suggested it normally results by using too much device. "F". I was sleeping. I don't even turn on the heater. Not even any device connected.
Lastly, I mentioned to the front desk personnel I will file my complaint. Her attitude is like, we fix it, why you still complain?
Bad and improper responses for the case.
Not emergency lighting, when the power goes off.
The room is ok, the location is good. But, the service needs ro be improved. And, the personnel needs to be educated again.
We enjoyed a 2 day stay in stylish rooms with nice views of some London landmarks close by. The Hotel is very fashionable and stylish, the breakfasts are served until 12 at weekends which is great for visitors enjoying the London nightlife and the breakfast spread was impressive. I would have liked to have seen more hot choice at breakfast with perhaps mushrooms and tomatoes added for a healthy balance. The bathroom 'pods' are certainly unusual and the doors sills slippy but easy to use and ample hot water. The check in service was very casual, quick and easy and the bar in the hotel open late and offered a decent choice. Some craft beers on draught or in cans/bottles would be a great addition however.
Easy check-in with 24-hr front desk, comfortable room, and decent breakfast.
We got to the hotel at about 8 pm and we didn t have to walk far as it is right around the corner from the underground. There was just a desk at the entrance with lots of people around it and it turned out that this was the lobby and check in area. Check in was fast as I had checked in online and we got room 1003.
The tiny elevator took us to the 10th floor the hall leading to the room showed that this is a hotel that tries to be hip and trendy. The room was not bad in size (considering that this is London) and the floor had a brownish/red carpet while the walls were greyish. There was a small flat screen TV mounted on the wall, a small desk and chair and a wardrobe in the corner that contained a few hangers and iron and ironing board. The desk did contain a water boiler with the option of making tea and coffee but there was no small minibar and there were no safe. The wifi was easy to connect to and gave a 10 Mbps line. The bed is not gigantic, but the matrass was not bad at all, but the pillows were a bit on the hard side.
The toilet and shower seemed to be a module that was just placed in the room and it is small. As usually there were not enough hooks to hang stuff like toiletry bags and towels. There were no amenities and shower gel and hand soap are just from dispensers. The shower was good, but the towels were a bit worn out and had a distinct smell of bleach. There is not very good ventilation in the bathroom, so the bathroom gets very steamy once you take a shower.
Breakfast was served on ground floor and on the first morning we came early and there was a nice selection of scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, bread etc. The next day we came a bit later and the breakfast area was very very busy. So, it does not seem like the breakfast restaurant is big enough to deal with number of guest in peak periods. I would have enjoyed seeing oats in the breakfast selection but that is just me.
The neighborhood contains restaurants, shops and it is a 2 minute walk to the subway station. It is a short walk to old Spitafields market and there are lots and lots of restaurants in the Shoreditch area.
Conclusion: a nice modern room in a budget hotel but it would have been great with a bit more space and hooks. The area is good for eating out and it is easy to get around as there is subway station next door. I would not mind staying here again.
Reception, check in, bar, lobby. It was perfect. All the receptionists I approached were friendly, cheerful and available.
The room is clean and functional.
Perfect for the 3 nights visit to London.
My partner and I stayed from January 24th to 28th and I can say that everything was perfect, from the kindness of the staff, to the cleanliness of the rooms and the breakfast buffet.
A special compliment Sara who was super nice and helpful in providing us with all the information we needed and all the other guys on the staff. Thanks to the waiter and the barman who served us the pinacolada on the evening of January 26th even if it was not on the drink list. Super nice! Compliments
Nice, modern hotel near subway and bus station of Aldgate East. Comfortable bed, clean and quite rooms and friendly, but not always competent young stuff. One star less for that and basic and poor selection of breakfast.
Wonderful modern city hotel. Budget price for London but really a sense of luxury. Great breakfast buffet. Metro one minute walk. Recommended.
This place was good quality for the the money. Great location near Shoreditch and Tower Bridge.
Interesting, modern, innovative Hotel with good Service.
Recently renovates rooms are fine. Breakfast ok, lacks fruits and good yogurt.
Hotel well located, several subway lines.
Nice neighborhood full of restaus.
Good hotel, clean, efficient staff.
Good breakfast, lots of choices.
Quiet nights, it is appreciable.
To recommend
Everything was good. You can arrange more vegetarian option in Breakfast.
quite nice hotel... bfast is good, rooms are ok. id stay here again
Staff are so friendly and I think that s Ibis diferencial among other hotels. The rooms are clean, breakfast is fresh, I have nothing to complain. During my 11 days stay at Ibis (while I was in London for work) Ferdinando looked after me making me special machine coffees which made me feel special :) Thank you! I d just like to complement saying that my stay would had been even better if I had a safe and a small fridge in the room, as well as variety in the breakfast. After so many days it feels a little the same. But that comment aside, great stay!
A cute and cheap hotel A relatively large room is highly recommended for people who are looking for a cheap and good hotel
Nice stuff, beds are comfortable. Rooms are Clean and tidy. Bathroom was neat and clean. I just feel home in my short stay. Overall I would suggest my friends and family.
Comfortable hotel, great location, helpful and friendly staff
