Hotel H10 Ocean Maya y Coral Review

I just recently visited the Ocean Maya Royale. The resort and rooms were very clean and well maintained. I found it a bit odd that the bathrooms had no real door just a glass door that doesn't cover the whole frame, it maked it difficult to get ready in the morning without waking up my wife since she tends to sleep later than me. The resort staff were all extremely pleasant and welcoming. The resort atmosphere was a bit low key while we were there. They had a few activities every day/night which were fun but it was by no means a party resort from our experience. My guess would be the average age of guests while we were there was mid-40s. The a la carte restaurants were all very good and portions were on the small side. The one buffet food was good too and obviously has endless portions. Overall, the experience was good, my wife and I both had a good time but we felt the resort is lacking a wow factor. The whole trip was well coordinated and no complaints to mention.

I can't say enough good things about our stay at this resort! The room was amazing. The food and the selections was amazing. I liked that we didn't have to make reservations days in advance for the various restaurants. The beaches and pools... yep, OMG! Amazing!! So clean!! The grounds were also impeccable. The shows and activities were also very entertaining. But the very best part of our stay was the staff... the front counter staff, the bartenders, the sports/entertainment staff, waiters/hostesses, photographers, housekeeping... EVERY SINGLE PERSON greeted us often and got to know us by name. After being there for a week, we all felt like family and we were so sad to leave!

The only part that I can say I didn't appreciate was the H10 "vacation club" people that milled around trying to catch you for their time share presentation. But like the guy told me, he was just doing his job and eventually, after a stern "NO, THANK YOU!", he did leave us alone.

I would definitely recommend this property!! Five stars is not enough!

This place is amazing. The staff is the best anywhere. The comments about the beach being full of seaweed is not correct. They can't help mother nature. When there was seaweed the took it all out and the beach was perfect. The waiter at the privileged restaurant was great and the entertainment staff was always happy and they have to work long hours. The live entertainment every night was great.

It turns out that I book for 5 days, because of the COVID, only the 4 restaurants are working (which they do not say before booking) only the buffet was open (which was the same every day, no change!) The Japanese did not even visit , the Italian and another called bluemoon. I liked the food, I just think there was a lack of variety, the snacks at the pool were always the same, potatoes, nachos, hamburgers and hotdogs, room service is only until -11.
Cafe restaurant, it's only after 4, I knew it because the first day, I wanted to have a cappuccino, and in the lobby bar they told me that the machine was broken, and I wanted to die (the cappuccino is my breakfast ) then a little surprised I asked the girl at the reception to help me with this issue, she helped me! (But if I don't say anything, I'll run out of cappuccino)
The personnel is very friendly! What I do not like and it seems to me that they would have to talk to the taxi mafia (they seem) is very exaggerated costs!
The pool does not have a jacuzzi
And while my stay there was rain, and then when I left the room, the roads and the grass were flooded.

Excellent facilities, ideal for couples as it is adults only. My husband and I came to celebrate our Silver Anniversary, and we will be staying for 4 days. We have barely been 24 hours and everything is exceptionally fantastic! Our most sincere congratulations and total recommendations.

Starting at the reception: they need employee training! Are so rude that they need instruction. I felt like I was disturbing. Only ONE was polite. The staff waiters were mostly polite: Daniela, Carolina, Bernit, Pathie, Verginia and Raphael were outstanding !!!!! This is genius!!! Super cooks !!! Thank you for the excellent food !!! Very socially competent !!!! Ailsha and Elias, who cleaned the rooms, were very nice and really thorough !!!! The nature is unbelievable: deer, coatis etc. The facility is very remarkably cared for. INCREDIBLE!!! GREAT!!! Which was irritating how the topic: "Alcohol" is dealt with. For this reason, I will probably no longer visit this facility. Drunks who sleep upside down on the table at dinner already consume alcohol in the morning - regulations must be made here that alcoholic beverages are served after a certain time. The swimming pools are the largest toilets in the entire resort. The guests get drunk and are in the pool and let it run safely. At the pool there is equipment from a wheelchair etc. If a guest is dragged drunk out of the pool etc., he is brought to his room without checking whether he is doing well. Aspiration can be the result here and this is irresponsible for medical reasons. Anyone who should be conspicuous for this reason z. B. RED bracelet, we all inclusive: get white bracelet - so that the staff knows that these people no longer get alcohol. It cannot be that this topic "alcohol" is tolerated to such a dangerous extent in such an upscale facility. An addiction officer would have his hands full here. Hat for all guests who bring their own cups! If only there were non-alcoholic drinks ... The drunks bothered me the most. I don't need that on my vacation. I am not a champion of alcohol, but I find it very sad when an 18-year-old drinks coffee with Baylies for breakfast in the morning - apart from the consequences - or sleeps head over heels at the table at dinner. ALCOHOL ADDICTION IS A DISEASE AND DESTROYS BRAIN CELLS AND EVEN IF THE WHOLE BODY !!!! PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW !!!!! I can not use such a disaster during my vacation .... Please to the hotel management: PLEASE CHANGE THIS !!!! It's all about young people !!!! I'll check it out - if I may ...?

Loving our entertainment staff here, Naomi, Inis, Sexi Papi and Rodrigo are so much fun!!! Never a dull moment at the pool!!!! The food was spectacular (pretty sure we ate 4 meals a day)! Very clean resort and every staff member you passed greeted you. This was our 2nd time to Ocean Maya and I'm sure we will be back!

HORRIBLE IF I CAN SAVE JUST ONE PERSON FROM BOOKING A STAY HERE I WOULD BE HAPPY. Will write my full review when I get home I am still stuck at this terrible place for a few more days. Please just don't waste your money there are way better places around to stay at.

Grounds are on the smaller side for an all inclusive. Beach front is above average but there are fewer facilities like bars and such.

Great resort, smaller than some of the big guys but a nice up scale alternative.. restaurants and bars on site, clean and well maintained. Would recommend.

Not a big resort, everything is quiet and peaceful. Great service, good moderately varied food. A choice of restaurants and bars are enough. There are no children. There are practically no beaches, but near a good beach on the right side. 2 large swimming pools one with a bar. 8 number 2-storey houses. Very decent rooms. The bar at the pool restaurant did not like thanks to the barman. Not tasty cocktails and did not give a straw, although before this clever man everything was ok. I just after 5 minutes compared the service and the same cocktails with a bar on the pool

My husband and I held our wedding at Ocean Maya Royale. The experience was better then we could have ever hoped for.
There were 22 people in our party with a wide range of ages and there was something for every one. The hotel was very good at accommodating large groups for dinners and the food was excellent!
The actual wedding day went off without a hitch. I worked with Ariadna and she made sure every last detail was taken care of. If we had to go back and do the whole day over again, we wouldn't change a thing!

We had an amazing time here!! Rodrigo, Artullo, Marina, and Naiomi are the best, highly recommend!!

Beautiful resort, very quiet only for adults, very attentive and pleasant staff, comfortable beds, keep in mind that being surrounded by vegetation it is easy to meet animals but they are harmless.

Fantastic location, food, staff and the accommodation is brilliant.

Had a blast! Great resort and the events and activities team were awesome. Shout out to Marena who made the week that much more fun!

If you want 100% relaxation, this is NOT the place for you. I m really not sure how this is a 5 star resort.

-our room smelled like sewage and our AC woke us up spraying water and the motor screeching
-BRING a TUMBLR for drinks! We didn t get this memo! (When one bar is open you take the chance of having to walk several hundred feet for one drink)
-when there s a hurricane, no alcohol can be served. But don t worry! Workers will go around and try to sell you a $10 bottle of tequila for $100!
-not even a Mojito tasted right
In depth:
When we booked this trip, we didn t do our research. Previously in Mexico we ve stayed at resorts that were NOT pushy right off the bat. For starters, we entered the lobby and immediately they bring you over to a section to wait for one of two attendants checking people in. Don t fall for the membership sales free incentives!!! We did and we got screwed because we didn t buy it! Fernando took a slip of ours and told us he was going to help get a deposit back we initially put down at the airport. He didn t!
At previous resorts, folks on the beach selling merchandise weren t allowed to be on the resort. Well these folks were hollering and doing everything they could to sell cigars, sunglasses, DRUGS, etc. even walking up to the pool. We witnessed one of the sales guys actually come up to the pool, splash a guy in the pool, and they began yelling at each other until the sales man stormed off and did a slit the throat motion to the guy in the pool.
We came during a tropical storm and in the midst of corona (end of October) so I won t hold the lack of staffing against the resort.
However, customer service is not great.
Our first morning here, we woke up at 5am to an air conditioner unit screeching and spraying water. I turned it off. We had to go to the lobby when it opened anyways so we told a woman at the front desk. She was upset we didn t call maintenance ourselves. You can tell not all members are treated equally here. If you don t purchase privilege don t both coming. You won t even get an umbrella in your room.
Our room was towards the ocean with one building to our left. The night the hurricane came in, our buddies in the hotel to the left of us were evacuated and put in different rooms further back on the resort. Our building and their building both lost power very early on. We had a main floor room and the walkways and everything around were flooded. Some parts had about a foot of water.
We set up a dolphin tour after we wasted three hours on a membership charade.
They called the morning of and told us to be there at 10:30 to leave. We get to the lobby at 10:15. We wait. See taxis come and go. We walk to the front at 10:40 and ask where our transportation is and the man states only ten minutes late isn t too bad.
We wait until 11 (our scheduled time to do the tour) and the am star representative comes over and suggest we do a later one when we previously expressed we couldn t due to a work conflict.
Only two restaurants open at a time. Food is sub par. Expect to get a drink refilled once at most. Unless you re privilege, your quoted time to get into one of the restaurants other than the buffet can be anywhere from 2-3 hours.
They (Israel) give you a coupon for a free pendant when you come in $50 value. Of course you go to the shop and they say they are out of stock and can order it (after they ask you when you re leaving) and it won t be here until the day after you leave.
Too much BS! Too many gimmicks! Won t be back!

All inclusive , clean and tidy, the staff work tirelessly to ensure you have everything you need. Multiple restaurants there really is something for everyone

I had an absoult amazing like at ocean maya!! I cant wait to go back. It was home away from home. They staff especially Rodrigo and Arturo were amazing and so much fun!! The food was delicious and all the different restaurants to choose from was great!!

The nicest staff who are still very professional and make every part of the day fun. From the restaurants to the entertainment in the pools, it is a great resort for everyone!! You do not need an ocean view to have a beautiful room either!

The hotel is really great, nice rooms, delicious food and awesome staff. Even if there is no electricity, due to a tree cutting a power cable, the entertainment team does everything to keep the guests happy and entertained. So Rodrigo started a spontanous water volleyball session and we had great fun.

Aqua gym has always been lots of fun especially with Arturo (sexy papi) and Naomi (dancing queen).

Selza was really great and so cute. We had lots of fun during the foam parties.

My favorite one in this hotel is Magarita. She is lovely and always in a good mood.

Highly recommend this place for having a great vacation.

Bad organization on the part of the management of the place. In the middle of the night of September 15, they end the boring "Mexican party" at 12 pm and leave everyone wanting to continue the party. Then it occurs to them that with a single bartender they can attend to all who wanted to have a good time. The tiring bartender trying to serve everyone and not a single manager in sight. What disgusting management and what a shame for tourism in Mexico.

A luxury hotel that does not lack any detail. It looks like a small city. The best food !!

Great food and an awesome resort. Rooms were nice and air conditioned well. The pool was a little warm but it's so hot here I didn't expect much else. The beach access was small but it didn't matter because I visited durring off season. I would recommend this resort for the price we got it at, but there are better ones in the area.

Staff are amazing.. go out of their way to help you. Wonderful clean rooms. There was a slight mildew smell in our room, that was off putting.

Not impressed! Where do I start- $250 got stolen from our room, gross looking animals ALL around the resort eating food left out, food was awful compared to other resorts I've stayed at in Mexico, no air condition in any of the restaurants, mold yes MOLD in our room, staff was just okay- not as accommodating as I hoped. You cannot get beach service by the pool, you have to to get up put on clothes and walk in a restaurant to get lunch. Do NOT go if you are looking for fun- mainly older couples. (50 plus) One fun thing was the foam party on Friday afternoon, other than that this hotel is not worth it. Oh and the ATM was broken the whole time. I have no idea where "5 star hotel" came from for this place! I only stay at the best of the best hotels when I travel and this is maybe a 2 star hotel- not ritzy at all!!

Rooms are very nice, service was outstanding. Limited access to beach - but a great boardwalk and the pools were very nice. Dining options were plentiful and overall very good. Highly recommended.

Great facilities, good attention to the bad, beaches with algae

Incredible place to spend a rich rest, the amenities are varied and for my taste of good choice, different types of shows, food and entertainment, both in the morning and at night, the barbecues near the pool are very delicious meats , the tacos, the hamburgers. The charro was one of my favorites, thanks Ines of animation and sexy Beyonce selza, those of the bar all the time pending, at every moment Mr. Adrian offered us drinks always with a smile on his face, thanks H10 team.

I love this place!!! They treat you so good. My second time here... definitely not my last! My parents have been here 11 times. The rooms, grounds and beach are beautiful...and the staff is just wonderful. I've been to other resorts in Mexico but this is by far my favorite. I'll be back later this year for sure!...and the food is great too!!! ( Did I mention the top shelf liquor? None of that cheap stuff here!)

The rooms were very clean and cosy,the food was amazing,the pool was very fun and the staff was amazing,they made us feel like home specially Rodrigo and Arturo were awesome,they were really fun and really nice to us they made our vacation awesome,we would come back to this hotel for them!!!!

Resort is beautiful, this is our last morning here of a 6 night stay. Pools are beautiful, there is the more quiet pool, and the party pool. The Mexican restaurant is by the quieter pool, which takes away from lounge chairs, advice get to either pool early and save yourself a couple of chairs. The wait staff will bring up some chairs from the beach if there is room. Party pool has volleyball and music, and both pools have a bar near them. Only real complaint was lack of chairs and no real wait service, u had to go get your own drinks. Party pool did have a swim up bar. Now the restaurants, Mexican, totally awesome, Italian which everyone raved about I thought was not so good, weird salads and portions were small, the romantic dining was just that, good. Japanese was prob my second favorite, I never had tried sushi before or been to a Japanese hibachi so that was really a awesome experience. The rooms were spacious and we had a corner patio, I was thoroughly impressed! We did some excursions, deep sea fishing, the ocean was rough that day and the fumes from the boat were to much for me, we finally settled for bottom fishing and I am not a Fisher man at all but I totally enjoyed every second, the deckhands were amazing! We also did the xtreme tulum adventuras. That was 7 ziplines, 1 propel, and underwater caves called the cenotes. Then off to see the Mayan ruins at tulum. We had an amazing tour guide and we had a lot of laughs with the other couples from different resorts that were with us! We did jet skiing which was so cool and I even did a massage to end the trip! All in all this is a beautiful resort, the staff all great you with a smile all day. Prices for fishing were around 113.00 USd per person. The adventuras package was around 103.00 per person. Jet ski rental was 60.00 for half an hour, and the massage was around 100.00 usd full body massage. Make sure to bring plenty of singles for tipping!!

Excellent service, the food and drinks are amazing. I had the pleasure of meeting the scenographer bars in the hotel and is very friendly. The night shows are very good. Highly recommended!

I love the place, a wonderful site with beautiful vegetation. The room was immaculate, the a la carte meals were excellent, the food at the buffet was good. A very nice atmosphere and a quiet place, excellent for rest. The employees are very friendly, smiling, always with a nice hello when we meet them. The beach is very clean. We are going back in February 2017 and I do not think it will be the last time, we made it our favorite place for our vacation.

Not very attentive to guests. The privilege perks do not give you any better service, actually I think you get less. There is nothing but salesman trying to sell you a timeshare from check in to check out. I would not come back here.
