Hotel Etoile Recoleta Review

Great, close to everything, graveyard, shopping, bars and restaurants

I was on Sunday 23/10 and the truth, nothing, nothing was a good service, we did with my family the day of Spa, all the facilities of the hotel, are deficient, dirty, pool with mushrooms, Spa staff with old and neglected clothes we had lunch there and the salad had to be returned because it had live worms !!!, as a finishing touch when I went to the locker room my jacket had been stolen, everything is a product of the disorder that is seen in this hotel, there are no controls of any kind, people roam the floors without anyone being able to perceive it.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE, that as I seek excellence or at least the service that one pays.

The hotel is super well located and has large and comfortable rooms. The breakfast leaves something to be desired; reception and cleanliness need to be improved. With good management, it can become great.

The other reviews describe the decor accurately. A bit dated and the breakfast gets a little boring after a few days BUT the staff are amazing. They were very helpful and friendly to the end. Also, while I was there my friend had a stroke so I had to stay a few more days while he recovered. They did everything they could to accommodate me including offering a cut down rate for the room while I looked after my friend. I was touched. Also, Recoleta is a great central location and easy for the taxi drivers to take you back to with only basic minimal espanol.

We went to the Cookies Expo. The Hotel is located opposite La Recoleta Cemetery, an excellent place for tourism. The Hotel is large, spacious, antique decorated, very good cleaning. It is in the middle of the gastronomic places.

Soa day: Linda the view of the spa, but it lacks maintenance and small details ... for example: there is no dispensing of water when one leaves a dry sauna ...

Good place to spend the day. Good pool, sauna and massage facilities. IT IS NOT FOR NIGHTS. Rooms with a musty smell, there are no amenities (extra toilet paper, vanity kit, bathing cap, etc.). THERE IS NO OPTION FOR CELIACS TO BREAKFAST. Attached photo of what they gave me. THERE IS NO LACTOSE OPTION OF MILK AND OTHER.

Very good location Great value for the price. The bathrooms that are clean but old can be improved. They do not warn that to enter the excellent pool on the top floor you need a bathing cap that of course they sell themselves. The breakfast is very good and filling. It has garages included in the price that is not common in Buenos Aires. Very good option to stop with the family.

STOLE. ATTENTION, DO NOT GO. In this hotel, hotel staff who have access to an electronic key are robbed inside the room. They stole all the belongings, unlocked the safe and took it inside the suitcase. They do not take charge, they do not show videos of security cameras, they do not give access to the electronic information of the keys.

Well we start with the best. Which is undoubtedly the location in front of the cemetery in the area type point 0 !!!, the wide and beautiful view of the rooms. Breakfast is very abundant, let's see, it is not a 4 star breakfast but it is very rich! Perhaps in my opinion the difficulties start with hygiene and maintenance. It shows the old and neglected room. As it was the 1 in other times and they never invested it again. The pool place has the same difficulties. A UNIQUE view but lack of maintenance and if you want to go you have to buy a cap! Very correct and friendly staff. I would certainly return but hoping for a promo that will greatly improve the value for money!

The room that I touched lacked cleanliness. There were crumbs on the carpets, I understand that from a previous guest. The walls had paint chipped somewhere else. The sink had a slippery bottom floor. They take forever to get the car out of the garage. We had to wait more than half an hour, something unusual. They should improve cleanliness.
The breakfast and the masseuse the BEST to highlight. Also the ambaility of the reception staff.

They came to steal in a hotel room TWO DAYS ago, using the access card to the bedroom, the hotel NO RESPONDED, no manager or anyone appeared to attend to the couple that they stole, A DISASTER !!, they took the safe complete with passports, money .. laptop, clothes, many things and as a pancho for your home ... NOT GUARANTEED TO MAKE CHARGE, they must respond with the guest's insurance and NOTHING!

I stayed for 5 nights in the hotel from 11/16/2017 to 11/21/2017 (daily rates previously paid in the reservation) and was very badly received at the hotel reception by an employee named Ezekiel, the same to note my surprise when saying that I would have to leave my credit card or make a deposit shorts became extremely rude and even aggressive even though I explained to him that I had not been warned of this detail at the time of booking and that I did not feel safe to leave the my card in this way. Grossly the same told me that I would then empty the minibar in my room and that would also cut the phone line, shocked I replied that there would be no problem and that if I did some consumption in the restaurant I would pay on time, finished this nothing pleasant dialogue at the hotel reception went up to my room exhausted after hours of travel, very tired I decided to request a meal in my room in the hotel restaurant, in what I realized the delay I called again to the restaurant to find out what was going on and was once again surprised by the information that the official Ezequiel had left the order that I was not served in the room, upon receiving this information I immediately called the reception to question the situation but once again the employee Ezekiel was rude, aggressive and completely unprofessional, turning off the phone in my face, feeling extremely humiliated and irritated by this attitude I went down the reception of the Hotel to register my indignation for a situation so misplaced, seeing me at the reception the same said that if I insisted I would call the police, extremely shocked, irritated and disappointed by the attitude of the receptionist of the Hotel I returned to my room in that a few minutes later I was actually surprised by the arrival of the police which the receptionist actually dared to call. I received the police who were kind to me, asked to see my passport, listened to my version of the facts, and left, still allowing the meal to be taken to my room. However it was surreal to have gone through it on my first day of vacation, after an exhausting day of travel and a hotel that is said to be of a good standard. The inviting price should not bait to stay at this hotel.
The rooms although spacious are old and the sound insulation does not exist. You have always heard that someone in the next room is going to bathe or use the discharge.
The internet in the rooms is very poor, the bathroom needs renovation.
On Saturday the hotel allowed a party in the cloakroom with loud music until dawn. Anyway, despite the good location and the reasonable breakfast, I do not intend to return to this hotel.

Close to one of the best places with several restaurants. Hotel has good infrastructure, but the Wi Fi does not work well.

First impressions seems okay. In a good location for tourists. The place is in need of modernisation. Swim pool, sauna on 14th floor with fantastic views to the sea & over cemetery. Pool & pool roof is missing tiles.

Monthly & daily membership for Pool Sauna & gym available. Use of these for one day costs 350 pesos for non-hotel residents.

Expected more for a 4 star but was well serviced. Huge room, front only the bathroom is small. Great pool with a beautiful view. Good coffee and great location.

We went to a spa day with my friends, and we liked it a lot. The massages, the pool, the sauna and the snack 10 points. Very friendly staff too. I recommend it.

Terrible hotel Today, there was a robbery inside the rooms. And as if nothing came out the thieves with the suitcase. There is no security. And when you want to talk with the administrators, they do not give you any solution. There are not even camcorders to recognize thieves.

A good hotel, but unfortunately we were treated poorly by the man who coordinates the breakfast and the hotel restaurant, which is outsourced. We asked in the afternoon for this gentleman to send us the room, two plates and two cutlery, he denied rudely saying that if I wanted to consume something, that it was in his restaurant and that he is there to make money! Despite being a good hotel, details of old age are noted. Bathroom of the 80's .. the jacuzzi are disconnected, the bidet did not work.
If there was good predisposition to change rooms when I complained repeatedly for the malfunction of wifi on the 8th floor.

A fiasco at the hotel. Badly maintained. Old facilities. Good breakfast but no bread toaster. Bad Wi-Fi Very small bed. Bad bathroom keys. Lifts of the year 1920. Terrible acoustics. You hear everything in the piece. I would only rescue attention from reception staff.

A really bad night A buzz in the shower all night did not let us sleep. The spa very sad, is a pool and a sauna. They force you to wear a hat and they charge you in the pool. 4000 pesos the room and they make you a problem for 50 pesos.
Having so much offer in Buenos Aires I would not return here.

Awful night An intermittent buzzing noise coming from the shower made it impossible to rest properly. Spa is just a pool and a sauna and they make you pay extra for a hat that is needed in order to use the pool.
Will not come back.
