Wonderful place and amazing staff! Dream destination!

Relax during your vacation in a place like this that is vacation! And if the hotel is beautiful, the garden wonderful, the food will be amazing, the staff fantastic (for us especially our creative chambermaid Rethar, the cook Jean Lu, Robit and the omelet baker, Vanee, Sheetal and the humorous KAJAL !!). Thank you all for making our stay a party! It is a pity that you cannot just walk out of the hotel after dinner, for example, to take a walk. It is dark early and then dangerous on the road, far before you get anywhere. There is not much to do on the island. Also at the hotel it ends around 10.30 pm, even though the bar is still open. Fortunately we had a car at our disposal. Of course you can also book something to view. The weather is always nice (28) even though it rains every day. Your drink will be brought to the beach. In addition to the buffet restaurant, you can enjoy a la carte in the culinary restaurant. There are also two swimming pools where you can stay more peacefully than at the seabreeze bar, which is also more stylish. If you like eating at another hotel of the same concern as at Zilwa, you can! Also, buy a beautiful pareo or dress at Marcos on the beach that often comes in the morning!

What a trip we had at Lagoon Attitude! The 3rd guests to arrive at the newly refurbished resort and we were impressed throughout our whole stay and experience of Mauritius. Lovely, fresh, clean room right next to the beach with an amazing view, and turquoise colour water. The sustainable element of the resort was a brilliant add on too with the reusable water bottles and the whole place has a real authentic theme with plenty of Mauritius cuisine.

Lagoon Attitude Staff or family members were great. Very attentive with a good sense of humour. On arrival, Jensen came out to meet us at the car, offering to take our bags to the room, while we took a moment to check-in, crack open a bottle with a machete and enjoy a couple of glasses of champagne!

The food was great and plentiful with 5 restaurants to choose from, we were spoilt for choice, loved the local dishes. The sea breeze bar with all the inclusive cocktails was brilliant, thank you to Divesh and Shahil for keeping our glasses full.

Activities: I would highly recommend the catamaran boat trip, it is a great way to explore the coastline and get to know some of the other guests staying in the resort. There is a complimentary daily snorkelling trip, which goes out for an hour every day, highly recommend especially after spotting a sea turtle! The hotel has also paddle boats, windsurfing and there is a great spot for kite surfing nearby.

We also hired a scooter from reception. The surrounding area north of the resort is really nice, took time to visit the local villages, beaches, cross the green fields of sugar cane and see the capital, Port Louis.

Questions, I had before leaving (that might be of value):
The weather forecast looked uncertain. This can be a bit of concern especially travelling long distances. So glad we didn t cancel. Whilst the app on our phones showed rain, we had nothing but glorious sunshine. I m not a meteorologist, but Mauritius has a mild mico-climate, even on a small 40 x 60 mile island, it can mean rain in the south while the north is usually dry. It was the 1st week of December during our stay.

I had planned on bringing my snorkel gear, but it s a bit bulky to pack and the hotel have a great selection of sizes. I didn t get to snorkel along the shore as I took advantage of the boat trips further out on the reef.

Safe. I travel a lot with my laptop, whilst I didn t open it once in the resort, it can easily fit into the room safe giving great peace of mind when out and about.

I would like to wish Rubens, Raja and all the family, a good future in the newly refurbished Lagoon Attitude Resort. A special thank you to the background staff for all the personal touches making our stay so memorable. Loved the birthday cake and swans made in the room.

The Sensimar Lagoon, a dream hotel with excellent service in all areas. The food, very large choice of foods, tasted excellent. We spent our vacation there in Sept. 18

Hotel is located near by beach very beautiful hotel for stay and lots of facilities have been provided here, for non-veg person it is really good but for vegetarian people as well .Best hotel for Vegetarian Indians to enjoy their stay in this hotel.
Staff of this hotel is really so humble and polite, you ll definitely love their staff. Special thanks to Mr Nitish and Akshay Kumar at Coral restaurant who goes beyond our expectations to make us feel at home....!!!

We were in Lagoon Attitude in December 2019 and felt very comfortable from the first second. Of particular note is the staff, who are very friendly and eager to meet guests' every need. The hotel complex is very well maintained and there is a very relaxed atmosphere, so that a holiday feeling quickly arises. The dining room never seems crowded and the food is varied due to the different themed evenings. The authentic "food stalls" in which Mauritian street food is offered are also positive. All in all a wonderful stay in the Lagoon Attitude, we will definitely go there again.

Very nice hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. There are 3 possible restaurants with unlimited food and drinks. Children are not allowed in this hotel so very relaxing stay.

First day here so far can only say everything was great from room to the area to the room and bed ....
We had a wonderful holiday. The whole area was very clean and well maintained.
The room, with a fantastic view of the sea. All very short ways. The room always nice and clean with folded towels, etc. The staff was always very friendly it was almost every wish from the eyes. The gas taverns were delicious. And the food just fantastic. Whether at the street food on the beach, burgers at the pool or the changing buffet in the main restaurant. You have always found something delicious and appealing, even if you like my friends do not like fish and seafood, there were alternatives alternatives. And nothing else was left to be desired - from oysters to sea urchins, Tartar sashimi from Tuna to beef fillet.
All in all, a very successful concept

The food is very varied, and you have something for everyone.

4 star hotel but it is not worth it !!! restaurant too big is rather a large refectory - kitchen not worthy of a 4-star - a formula all understood but we have the right to the local drink! disappointed !!

Nice hotel. However, the cocktails quality change with different barmen and each bar in the hotel.

Staff is very helpful and friendly and the food quality is great. Only 1 restaurants included in the all inclusive package which is only buffet. Sometimes it's nice to sit down for a al la carte menu without having to run to get food after every dish.

Truly wonderful. The Tui Sensimar Lagoon is a little piece of paradise on earth! Stunning scenery, excellent facilities, fabulous staff and the perfect place for couples to relax, unwind and reconnect! Loved it! 100% recommend it!

We stayed at Sensimar Lagoon Mauritius which was a beautiful resort on the North beach of Mauritius.The room taken by me was a sea view room which was one of the best rooms of the Resort with a huge balcony facing the Sea. Water activities in the resort were also pretty good.
Food was a bit of worry with very limited options for Veg people.The food was not at all spicy and was almost like boiled which can be expected in a huge resort like this.
Overall an amazing Resort

Stayed there for my wedding anniversary and they left no stone unturned to make this day a great one. They will welcome you with their hand on their heart as a sign of a genuine and true service. Yes, they will deliver this service all times!!!! Had the opportunity to discover their Director Gala Diner which was so amazing lots of varieties and selection! Had also the chance to experience their amazing ritual on Wednesday at 20pm where they go around in the Restaurant with a cake! The Entertainment with the Sensation Band was great! They all work in a team to make your holiday a special one and make you wish to stay there

Even without honeymoon glasses a nice facility and relaxing holiday. Great country and great people. Always worth a trip.
Location:
Of course, it depends on what you expect from your facility. We just wanted to relax and the location was perfect for that. Direct beach, in the morning the sun, reflected from the sea, directly into the room. If you want to do something, you can also book a taxi at short notice, which will take you to Grand Bay, to the south or to Soppen in Port Luis. It takes about 1.5 hours from the airport to the hotel (about 60km). I would not recommend renting a car there. Even the locals say it's very dangerous to drive there. We booked a taxi for 3000 rupees for a whole day (about 45 euros), regardless of the number of inmates. We were driven all day, saw a lot and got lots of tips from the taxi drivers who were very helpful. And the taxi drivers were waiting for us without the pressure of a tour group, depending on how long we needed. Generally, the locals are a very nice and hospitable people. With English you get far, with French even further, because the Mauritians very much like to use French as an unofficial national language. I would really recommend anyone to explore more of the island.
Room:
The room had a wonderful view of the beach and the sea. Was very spacious and the bathroom was also big enough. One had Sat TV with u. a. German channels. The minibar was felt daily included. A separate toilet and a spacious bathroom with a large mirror and a large shower. Do not panic if there is a gecko hanging on the wall somewhere. They are typical of the country and do not do anything. Look very cute.
Service:
Here I would like to mention our favorite bartender, RAVI. From the first day he was the reason, among other things, that we could fully enjoy our stay. He has his bar perfectly under control without being stressful and with his friendly and attentive manner everything in view and remembered the favorite drinks of the guests. Time for private chat, tips for trips and customs. Otherwise, it can be said that every employee, from maid to reception, simply reflects the hospitality and warmth of the Mauritian people very well. No question was too stupid, no wish too much. We did not miss anything and we met a lot of nice people.
Gastronomy:
Everything was fresh and very varied. A lot of local (recommended) but also known things from Europe. There are often theme nights, such as "Everything in White", "Asian", "Mauritian" etc. instead. Therefore you should align your wardrobe when packing. The food is really delicious and you have the choice between several restaurants (the main restaurant with buffet, beach restaurant or gourmet restaurant a la carte). The latter is not in all inclusive, but you get a dinner as a newlywed even two.

Really enjoyed my stay there. Could have been a 5 star if the menus a la carte were better (or more selection without paying the extras...even if you go on an All Inclusive basis, you have a much reduced drinks selection and some food is extra). Also the bar/restaurant staff was a hit or miss (specially negative mention to bar supervisors as they were a bit rude). on the other side, the lobby staff were very pleasant and they would go the extra mile for you.

Lovely hotel ideal for those looking for a more quiet and relaxing break. Staff very attentive, food very good, accommodation very clean.

Outstanding, breathtaking. That's probably the best way to start this review. Just wow. After a 12 hour flight we arrived and the staff were just superb, they really go above and beyond for you. Our suite was ready when we arrived, it was really wonderful. Everything was immaculate, so clean and tidy. The mini bar is a lovely touch! The Pools are all stunning, amazing views and the private lagoon is gorgeous, the colour of that sea is breathtaking. The food is wonderful and the cocktails are great! 110%, it is worth the flight, Mauritius is stunning. I'll certainly be back in the future! Also I went to the spa at the hotel for a treatment package - full body massage, facial and body scrub. It was AMAZING! We also had a lobster dinner on the beach and that was incredible, we felt like movie stars! If you're going to Mauritius really consider this hotel to stay in :) our rep Rudy was incredible. We did a few trips as well and vikrim was wonderful and so informative! Generously apply suncream! It's the first long haul I've ever done and my partner has been all over the world, very well travelled - he said Mauritius is even more beautiful than Bali!

Lagoon for snorkeling at the top not too many fish it makes more go off

My parents traveled to Mauritius from the 02-09 September 2017 and this was their first overseas trip. We would like to thank all the staff and entertainers for their exceptional generosity and they always made my parents feel at home and was willing to help at all times. The staff was always always friendly. Also a very very big big thank you to the head chef of the hotel, he went out of his way to prepare exceptional meals for them on a daily basis. We would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to this beautiful island. Thank you all great service ******

I m writing my review as I m staying now in the resort. I was really surprised with the facilities. Didn t expect it to be this relaxing and a great getaway choice.
It s all inclusive ( except Cola at the main restaurant - so far, lol) yet the price is very low comparing with another places providing way lesser amenities.
The staff are very friendly and the manager is very kind and warm hearted.

I m still exploring the resort but I doubt that anything could change my review unless to make it better.

To sum up, the best value for service you could get in Mauritius!

If you're a tourist looking to know more about our local cuisine and tradition, this is your go-to hotel. It's very authentic and very "Mauritian". They have an all-inclusive only package so you can order drinks all day long, as much as you want. I've tried most cocktail on their menu thanks to this package. Cheers!

Just returned from the Sensimar. Brilliant place. All the four and five star reviews reflect the hotel very well so I m not going reinvent the wheel! Not sure why there are poor reviews, take them with a pinch of salt!
Just one minor thing that the management might want to take on board
The beer was not cold enough. The main bar and pool bar draught beer temperature was almost warm. The Street food area served bottled beer which was cold on opening at midday, but by 2pm they were also warm. The lounge bar beer was cold, so if you want a cold beer go there! I realise that the climate is extremely hot, all the more reason to have cold beer!
Tip - An alternative to going on organised trips around the island, use one of the taxis just outside the main gate. We went on two trips, south of the island and north of the island. You can specify where you want to go therefore cutting out places you are not interested in. The prices are set by the government and are for the taxi, not per person - 3000 rupees for the north and 4500 rupees for the south (you may be able to haggle!). Be careful because they will take you to lots of shops - just tell the driver exactly what you want. We went with Loulou - he was fantastic, spoke good English and knew all the history of the island. Just ask for him at the taxi rank. I have his phone number if anyone wants it.
Finally, thanks to all the staff they were brilliant. Special thank you to Rita, our room maid.

As soon as we landed at the airport we were greeted by Salvo, who immediately proved to be very nice, prepared and polite. He was very helpful throughout our stay by providing us with advice and support for organizing the excursions and making the best use of the services offered by the resort. The structure is brand new, with attention to every detail and eco-sustainable. Excellent the 4 restaurants with a note of merit for the Coral. The lush Mauritian vegetation and the splendid sea complete what was a perfect holiday.

The rooms are pleasant and spacious. The cuisine with a large choice in the various restaurants. Do not miss the restaurant "the Cullinarium" with its gourmet cuisine and the "Kot Nou" for its unforgettable lobster meal.
The orchestra and its singers (different every night) were able to entertain us.
We highly recommend this hotel - relaxing setting, lush garden ...
We hope to return there with our friends during our next visit to Mauritius.
