Hotel Borobudur Jakarta Review

Building a bit old, except for maybe the carpet in the room, everything is pretty well taken care of. Love the Big outdoor pool surrounded by massive garden, fish pond (i brought some bread to feed the fish, it was really fun!), multiple tennis courts, jogging track, and a very nice gym&spa building, along with sauna, steam, and hot-cold bath jacuzzi inside the bathroom (free for all guests). The gym/spa facility also has this really nice, bright, and spacious dressing tables in the women s bathroom, they have hairdryers, hair spray and even hair tonic guests can use for free. The spa/massage menu is expensive, but things such as milk bath sounds very tempting, maybe i will give that a try next time i visit. The bakery sells pretty cakes (big whole cakes or smaller sliced, they have it all), i tried the blueberry cheesecake and meat-and-kidney pie, they were delicious. Bogor Cafe is famous for its Oxtail Soup, I tried it and it lived up to my expectation. Also tried Tongseng Kambing, which turned out to be among the best Tongseng I ve ever had. Miyama Japanese Restaurant served really good grilled salmon belly (I tried the one with teriyaki sauce). The meat was thick, three pieces per serving and they re not small, it was delicious and fulfilling. The chicken and seafood teppanyaki was really good too, served with typical Japanese menu-set comprises of rice, miso soup, and pickled veggies. Ramen was not disappointing as well. Pricey, but portions were large and the quality of the dishes made it worth the price. Overall, everything in this Hotel is expensive, but aside from the carpet in the room, the facilities, beautiful massive garden, and restaurants made it all worth paying for. (I just personally think the rooms could be better with just ceramic/marble tiles and smaller carpets around the bed).

A high star hotel in the very center or Central Jakarta. Located near the Istiqlal Mosque and The Catedral. You'll find yourself in a very comforting hotel with the modern style.

Stayed here for 2 nights for a conference. So we book the fullboard package. Foods served for lunch and dinner has excellent taste. But the service on Bogor Cafe during breakfast is the worst ever! It makes the whole stay feel unpleasant and leave bad impression. The staff resto discriminate the guest. I asked for a napkin and the staff replied they dont use napkin in bogor resto. But then the foreigner guest who came after me got served right away with full utensil + NAPKIN!!! It's not ending there. The resto staff didnt even ask if i want a cup of coffee or tea. My cup is still left empty till i left the resto. The empty plates were also left on my table for half an hour. Even with many staffs passing by my table not even one staff clean my table. Such a bad bad service for a hotel on Borobudur class.

Great food selection. The oxtail soup is my favourite dish.

Hotel with complete facilities, the view is also okay, right in the center of the city, but ... with such facilities it doesn't suit the service of the human resources, almost some of the staff I met were not friendly, especially the female staff showed unpleasant expressions during QT asking. The food is less varied, and tastes less good (breakfast). Maybe it can be improved for the quality of the tablespoons.

I love how they maintain the nice fresh smell of lemongrass on the isle and bathroom tissue. They also have docked alarm clock with fm radio. The room is not so big but enough for resting after a business trip.

I wanted to surprise my wife for her birthday, so I booked a night in hotel Borobudur, and they were so much kind and careful to help me with my plan. The hotel location is great nearby Gambir train station and close to Thamrin. The staff are so much polite, fast and helpful. I got the perfect help with everything. The room was spacious, and the bed was so much comfortable. The breakfast buffet was great with variety of food, and what was great is that I found cheese there, which is hard in Asian hotels. The hotel security is very strict, it might look annoying, but for me I believe it is necessary to guarantee my safety and other guests safety. In general, I liked the hotel, and I wish to go back again there.

Cool location in the middle of the city. The hotel area is very spacious & green. Old buildings but still neatly maintained and classy.

No other hotel has an ample garden like Borobudur hotel. It always been an uplifting feeling everytime i visit this hotel.

Having a conference in Borobudur always a treat. Its banquet menu are so mouth watering.

5 star hotel with a good Restaurant. The Resto Name is Borobudur.They served a good oaxtail soup.
