Estate in Avegoor
Estate in Avegoor
As a frequent hotel visitor, I have been asked to write an extensive review. The package has been booked at Hotelmoment.
This review will be scheduled later on in various media, but will give Fletcher the opportunity to respond first.
-------------
Landgoed Avegoor is a hotel of the Fletcher group. The face and entrance look chic and clean. The receipt and check-in was a bit difficult, because our reservation for a 3-day package had not come through, while we did receive a confirmation of receipt by email. After half an hour and maybe some shuffling back and forth, the receptionist came to report that it had been arranged. This gives a stress point after a car ride of 120 km.
Our room was on the first floor, directly off the entrance hall and elevator. It was very noisy here, so we woke up at least 3 times during the night. The rooms are dated and still have overdue maintenance, such as pieces from the wall, cracks and paint that is coming off. What struck me is that the Fletcher group still works with carpet and sometimes also high pile. This too is unsanitary and very outdated. Probably not a priority. There were also stains on the entire couch where my UV lamp indicated what this could be! (See picture)
Except for the couch and pillowcase, the rest of the room was clean!
Our package consisted of 2 nights with breakfast and a 3-course dinner.
The reception in the restaurant was fine, we were brought to a table and given the menu. From the 3-course dinner, we can choose from six starters, 4 main courses and 3 desserts.
The value of this 3-course dinner is 32.50 pp. Add to this the drink bill of 31.95 and the total is 110
Everything was well flavored, but with the main course it was noticeable that it was just too long on the warm plate or had been placed under the heat lamp. The sauce and mash had already dried and the potato gratin had become crispy.
What was striking is that the a la carte guests were offered a bread board.
As Mirna Goossen recommends the Fletcher group at Business Class ...... I was not allowed to experience it that way. This is our fifth visit to a Fletcher Hotel in 3 years, but probably our last!
The total amount of our stay 289
Advice for the Fletcher Group treat the guests with an arrangement the same as the other guests. Do not look at a sandwich with all the restaurant guests and do not delay maintenance of the rooms.
Total grade 6.0
Pros:
Friendly and cheerful staff
Taste and portion of dishes restaurant
Entrance, lounge and bar.
Location of the hotel
Cons:
Overdue maintenance of rooms.
Selectivity arrangements
Dirty furniture.
I'm sure the Fletcher group can do a lot better!
