Hotel Asnigo Review

Welcoming and clean hotel, friendly staff, small and poorly soundproof rooms, do not take the rooms side road because very noisy.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff, clean and comfortable rooms, a breathtaking view of the lake and an excellent restaurant, a gem not to be missed

Level hotel, comfortable rooms, equipped with all comforts and clean. Kind and attentive staff, excellent and varied breakfast even in this period of Covid 19, for which I noticed the right attention from the staff of the structure.
The only negative note: the garage is subject to a fee ( 10 per night) and is mentioned on Booking, but there is no indication to that effect either at the entrance or inside the garage. I had not read the indication on booking and I discovered it at checkout. It is not a drama, but I would find it much more correct to mention it with a sign in the garage.

Room reasonable. Bathroom dated. Location good. Breakfast fine. Dinner was not successful, dogs are allowed in the restaurant and that is not in accordance with the house rules and no attention was given. In short, the price / quality ratio was not right.

The rooms are small and a car ride requires rolling up the hills, but the hotel's hospitality is rewarded by the kindness of the region and the view overlooking Lake Como.

Beautiful place with an enchanting view of Lake Como! I appreciated the exquisite hospitality of the breakfast staff, I felt important! The perfect cleanliness and the reception staff followed all the anti-Covid-19 standards! I recommend it!

I was there for dinner, so I can't comment on the rooms. As far as I'm concerned I ate really well. The offer was varied and included several local dishes. Friendly and helpful staff.

Perfect location! Lots of little hidden costs. On arrival we had a double room with a partial view of the lake. It was full of mosquitos. We got a better room, which was much better! The next day we only had to go back to a similar category, even though it was the last day and the hotel was not fully booked. This was very cumbersome for two nights with 3 moves and one sleepless night. We would have had to pay 20 EUR for another night in this room. Here the hotel staff could have been a little more forgiving. But it didn't go wrong. Bath towels too !!! and swimming caps (compulsory) must be purchased separately. The double room with partial view of the lake is absolutely not recommended - much too small. In addition to the many mosquitoes in the room, many dead mosquitoes were glued to the walls - too bad. Somebody has already noticed before. That we still received this room is a mystery to me.

This unassuming restaurant, located off the beaten path of Cernobbio, definitely deserves the name and a visit. The view is amazing and the food was great to say the least. We ate here twice in a party of 3 and every single dish was super tasty. Prices are fair for the location (Lake Como) and quality. If you can overlook the simple (yet classy) interior, you are in for a treat. Not to mention that the service is flawless.

I attended a confirmation in this place, I was fine. Right dishes, well impacted and very tasty. Serious and polite staff, very welcoming.

Refined hotel that still retains its original function for the holiday between lake and mountain. Built in the early 1900s, it was inaugurated in 1914, today, after the renovation in the 1980s, it maintains the elegant Secession style of its origins.

The place is not unpleasant. The view is beautiful. The building is beautiful. The staff is not rude.
The biggest problem is that for the price, you expect better. Too many small (big) things spoil the fun. The paying car park is not closed. No coffee or bottled water on arrival. The restaurant was closed and we were not warned. The staff was in minimum configuration. The small room (avoiding duplexes is not practical at all). The quality of the breakfast. No decoration. The minibar policy only on your smartphone via a qr code. The closing times of the pool Etc ...
Again a nice hotel, but too expensive for the service.

I often come to the area for work and if you have the overnight in this structure, which although a little out of the way, offers very comfortable rooms, excellent staff and a really delicious restaurant.

Stayed near by in the hills of Cernobbio...walked to this hotel/Restaurant.
Loved it...terrific views while dining outdoors under canopy looking at Lake Como. Veal Chop melllenaize unbelievable!!! Went back 2nd night because wife had chop envy. Prices reasonable for food and wine....like most Italian restaurants ..stick with the local inexpensive wines...ordered the pricy Brunello and couldnt really tell the difference vs regular italian wines.
great experience...go early for cocktails on the overlook of pool and lake como..

Excellent service and location with extensive lake views, located in a quiet area

Super nice view of Lake Como. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was very good, attentive and friendly service. Breakfast buffet is great. Staff are helpful. Room rather small, but functional. Gladly again.

Just awful. This hotel is basically a restaurant with some rooms attached. How it ever got a four star rating is beyond me. If you want a party this is your place. If you want a comfortable bed, a clean bathroom, somewhere without people screaming until after midnight outside then this is not the place. I would rate this as the worst value for money I've ever had from a hotel. And I stay in hotels every week. Honestly just avoid it. It was nasty.

A nice quaint hotel. Simple clean rooms... WITH air conditioning!!! A lot of hotels don't have AC!! The restaurant is really good and the views from the main room is beautiful. Lake Como at it's finest on a budget. Villa Erba is a quick 15 minute walk down the hill. Two thumbs up.

Excellent cuisine, splendid view of the Gulf of Cernobbio

We took a double with Booking, the room was nice, clean and tidy but too small to be a double of a 4-star hotel, it was not soundproof, in the morning I heard the children going to school. The great breakfast, rich in the restaurant with lake view but not very flexible, the next day we woke up later and went down 30 minutes late and they didn't even ask us if we wanted a coffee.

Friendly service, good views, small rooms. Breakfast has little choice. Approach only for experienced drivers.

Good hotel. Good kitchen. Friendly staff. You need a intense walk to the lake. And a steep climb to get back.

Awesome place. Lovely location with lake view, although the portions are not abundant at the restaurant, some dishes based on lake fish, however, were very good. The service IS LOVELY you really are treated like royalty. Overall 4 stars are deserved. In the evening, seeing Lake Como was truly a luxury!

Excellent Location. Very attentive and professional staff. Very nice and tasty menu (wedding lunch). The clean toilets, but the toilet encrusted on the bottom. For this only 4 stars.

No water when we arrived! Obsolete hotel, no style (as decoration at the entrance an empty Expedit shelf from Ikea), parking costs 8 euros extra, towel rack is so rusted, that one is afraid to hang his cloth on it!

Small and claustrophobic room

I am disappointed with the choice. We got extremely small and claustrophobic room. There is not even a space to leave the toiletries bag in the bathroom. The room we got is also very loud, just above the entrance, by the road and the lift from the other side. My husband is rather tall 192cm, however the bed was made smaller to fit that tiny room; and has no more than 185cm. On the top of that the room does not even have a kettle. I mean even the most basic 2star hotels have one! They also don t offer any complimentary refreshments in the lobby. I understand there is pandemic; but they offered the cheapest kind of the plastic glasses in the room. And finally, the tv box is broken and they cannot immediately replace it! Our room for sure was NOY worth even half of what we paid for.

Highly disappointing choice, and out of nearly 100 hotels I visited it must be the worst one! Having travelled the world, I highly doubt the hotel is four stars, three at most however it charges 4 star prices, so watch out.

It is also lacking any charisma or warmth.

Ending on the positive note, hotel is very clean and staff is friendly, and considering stressful times of masks and pandemic a full gratitude for their work is in order. Pool is lovely (apart the need of silly swimming cap).
