Hotel Arvor / O'Lodges Review

This is an excellent hotel. The new owners are very friendly and do an exemplary job, for example the reception is permanently open thanks to a night watchman or a shuttle can transport you on St Malo, Rennes or Nantes. The rooms are very comfortable and the service impeccable as for the breakfast buffet is varied and the products offered are of very good quality. To finish the hotel is located in the city center which is advantageous. I will be back without problem.

Ideal location. Good bedding. Housekeeping rooms, especially bathroom, toilet really leaves something to be desired. The service is not worthy of a 3 star.

We stayed in hotel arvor o'lodges, a themed apartment with records, guitar on the wall, record player.
Everything is very new, very clean and in the heart of the town, a pedestrian area three steps from the pedestrian streets and full of shops and typical pancakes.

Good reception, it is advisable to book parking at the hotel, because being located in the same center, it is difficult to park on one side and on the other Dinan has many visitors who sometimes collapse the city. The three apartment is near the hotel, very flirty decoration, the facilities a bit old.

Very well placed hotel. Attention few parking spaces Preferably to book in advance ....

Beautiful old house in the medieval city of Dinan. Comfortable hotel and very welcoming staff. I highly recommend it.

Home disappointing, despite the place rather nice. Photo of the rooms not all visible on the website of the hotel. bedding not at all comfortable and very poorly soundproof .... door noise slamming all night ... Despite a commercial discount promised by the manager on the spot, nothing! Correct breakfast in line with the price charged ...

Excellent stay in this charming hotel in the historic center of Dinan. The breakfast, the reception, the decoration and the private carpark are the positive points of this establishment. One thing is certain we will come back.

This charming hotel is located in the very heart of the city of Dinan which is very picturesque. The hotel's atmosphere is nice and relaxing and offers a homely lounge to enjoy a nice drink. Rooms are very nice and each room has it's own unique design. WiFi reception is good throughout the hotel which can be important for some guests. Breakfast is reasonably priced but of a good quality.

Not great but we enjoyed a lot the view from our windows

It's a nice hotel. The room was in keeping with our expectations. We did notice a bulb that did not work in the bathroom. We asked for a map, a tour guide who was to be present in the room as shown in the email with the questionnaire we did not have anything. We still have the wifi code damage we were two and only one perosnne can be connected on it. We had a good night despite a vernissage in a gallery next door. The streets were very quiet. We do not have breakfast. But we had taken the parking which was a bit small we had trouble getting out of a 4X4 parked there.

Wonderful hotel in the heart of old Dinan. Very nice staff, friendly and helpful. Very good restaurants just down the street.

A superbly run hotel, where you feel comfortable. The setting is quiet, the room very well decorated, is very clean, the bedding is of high quality. The excellent breakfast to note the Breton buffet with pancakes and far Breton without forgetting their very good homemade jams.
If we come back to this beautiful region, we will definitely stay at the Arvor Hotel.

Very Bad Hotel !!
Privat Parking, but you are NOT allowed to stand there!
Car must be parked in the city for a fee!
Two children run the Reception!
Even if you struggle with your suitcase, they will not keep a door open for you and will remain in place.
At 10 o'clock in the evening, no more staff and the door locked. Door code outside door did not work and so 40 people had to wait outside for an hour !!
At night unbelievable noise in the street from Shrieking gulls, clock church tower, cars on cobblestones.
Extraction shower did not work.
Sink drain plug was not working.
Safe not fixed to the wall or floor and you can take the contents with you.
In short, one big downer and afrader !!

A perfectly adequate hotel, clean, a smile, everything to please. The bathroom is also clean. In addition, the car park has a place for bicycles (on the ground but not fixed and supporting 5-6 bicycles) therefore very practical for staying in the fort of Dinan with bicycles.
The only problem for those who are light sleepers: the rooms are not very soundproof (noise from doors and pipes)

Fantastic weekend of October spent with family in this pretty hotel which was a former convent in the historic center of Dinan. Delicious breakfast especially homemade jams and pancakes.

Stayed here by accident, due to being too tired to keep driving. All we did was sleep. And we slept very very well. Beautiful decor and everything functioned very well. Surprising for such an old hotel and given the price. Paid 75. Happy with the price.

Beautiful hotel extremely well located in the historic heart of the city of Dinan.
Very friendly, efficient and attentive staff.
Pleasant breakfast buffet only.
The only problem is the noise of the gulls nesting on the rooftops in front of the hotel, bring earplugs if you are not sensitive to the songs of these birds.
Overall the stay was excellent.

We paid for an apartment but they gave it to other people who did not pay! Normal ... they could have offered us the ptits lunch but no! No heating while it was cold and wet ... disappointed

Perfect location to explore Dinan, and breakfast was delicious. Make sure you book parking when you book your room, limited spaces

Very nice hotel. People very professional and gentle.

One night spent in this hotel. There are negative points to highlight such as:
- bathroom too small
- lack of space to store things, towels etc.
- level of pillows a little refreshment would be good, old condition
- dusty headboard (poor cleaning)
- for breakfast which is still at 12th we expected a full and varied breakfast and well no !! Crumbs on the chair, yoghurts not fresh at all (hot yogurts no thanks), crockery with traces and a high sideboard not really easy to use and micro tables!
Moreover, because yes it is not over!
Reception level; we had a very big smile and good explanations on our arrival, nevertheless, on our departure no one other than our arrival, who did not win us a smile, to believe that we disturbed him! No smile, not listening at all limit the time for us necessarily we were leaving! Friendliness level sucks.
A parking lot at 8th for 5 places of the big whatever. One thing is certain, we will not be returning to this "hotel".

Very warm welcome, magnificent room, perfect breakfast in sanitary conditions.
No air conditioning in the rooms facing a cobbled street, which makes it noisy when passing vehicles.

Surperlative, in particular for the breakfast room, the service and its very varied buffet with fresh products that includes cheese, yoghourt, fruit juice, local sweets ... recommended!

Very good hotel, immaculate. The staff is very welcoming and the breakfast is very good (quantity and variety of products).
A very good address on the edge of the historic center.
I recommend taking the Parking option as it is difficult to drive and park in DINAN.

Central location but quiet and peaceful. Small but nice room.

Honesty is not one of the qualities of the new owners in place since July. The photos on the Booking application do not represent all of the rooms. The rooms on the ground floor ("standard room" at 120 at the end of September) are not displayed in particular because they overlook the street where cars, trucks and garbage trucks pass from 6 am. If you appreciate the proximity to the exhaust pipes, the place is perfect!
Now let's move on to the bathroom: no shelves, so it is mandatory to put everything on the floor, very practical!
Finally the breakfasts, warmed pastries, mediocre bread and all this for a price of 12 !!! A shame!!! Revise your classics Madame, don't improvise yourself as a hotelier!

I was interested only in the porch: classified in the historical monuments of the city.

Charming and lovely boutique hotel. Warm and cozy lounge area and onsite paid parking. Perfect location with everything to see within walking distance. Helpful and kind front desk attendants. Hope to return to Dinan and if we do we'll be staying at Hotel Arvor. Forgot to add, nice breakfast!

Stayed there in July of 2019. You cannot beat the location of this hotel. Very centrally located near the cathedral and the Tour de'Horloge. Staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a very cozy lounge area where drinks (and breakfast in the morning) are served. The hotel has a gated parking area right next to it. Access is very tight, so it is best to leave your SUV at home and travel with your Fiat 500 :-)

Comfortable and clean room and a friendly welcome the only downside is the breakfast, the quality is not at the rendezvous, canned fruit juice, crepes out of sachets, fruit salad in box with just some fresh fruit added .. ..for a 3 star ...... go have breakfast elsewhere

Best hotel in our trip in Bretagne/Normandie. Professional employees, clean and comfortable rooms, parking space (payment). All the personnel speaks very good English.

A very detailed place to its time, very clean, a croissant and an excellent cheese at breakfast.

Beautiful rooms in the historic center, a short walk from the clock tower and the most typical views. Comfortable bed, bathrooms, however, normal. Elegant. We suggest!

We stayed one night in an "apartment" which had a queen bed and full bath in a loft area with two singles, a baby crib, and another full bath on the main floor. (There were no kitchen facilities.) Everything was clean and tidy. The staff was incredibly helpful and courteous with our various requests for parking, making phone calls on our behalf providing information about what to see and do. In fact, we had received an email from them in advance with links to about 15 things to do in the area. Those links made planning our sort stay there very productive.

Great weekend getaway in this beautiful boutique hotel, lovely staff and room at the top. We will come back to Dinan thanks to this wonderful stay at Arvor.

A shame. We booked an apartment and its website does not say anything about its location outside the hotel. On its website they indicate the same services as the hotel and to begin with it has no elevator, no safe, no More
