Great customer service! My girlfriend and I gor a room that seemed a little too small. I asked the receptionists for a bigger room and there was no questions about it. We got a bigger room without getting charged a service fee. Would definetily stay here again! :)

Overall GREAT hotel but BEWARE of the young brown skin bell guy he stole $30 out of my room during my stay. This must be something they do at this hotel. Me honestly I ll never stay here again. Please people do not get the bell guys to help with anything unless you want your belongings missing. Lesson learned, never again.

Chuck and Layla welcomed my wife and I with open arms. Chuck approached me asking if I needed assistance with my bags and even brought Champagne to our suite on the house. Layla went as far as taking pictures for us and blessed us with her warm welcoming energy. The room felt like my old apartment in Hyde Park. It was nice and cozy.

We stayed in the King Suite with Jacuzzi for 2. This room was perfect. Stayed as a surprise for my husband's birthday. I didn't give 5 stars because:
-For a suite, I expected a microwave, there was none.
- The restaurant and bar was closed because of COVID. I knew that going in so I was prepared. It's not 100% their fault due to city limitations but room service availability would have been nice.
- There was hair in the Jacuzzi. (I always come prepared with antibacterial and cleaning sprays when I stay at hotels so I took care of it. But just not what I expect for a 4 star hotel at almost $300/night .) I will definitely return but only for the King Suite with Jacuzzi. I loved the room, space and decor. The front desk gentleman named Michael was very friendly and made me feel welcomed!

Location is great. The overall vibe and decorations are really cool - think roaring 20 s. The rooms were clean and great for the 2 of us, however we were pretty disappointed in the size of the bathroom. We made it work for 2 people (we were in a king bed room), however friends of ours were in a double queen room and the restroom was not only literally in a closet, but 1 person hardly fit in their bathroom. Overall, it seemed like an old hotel that got a cheap upgrade and a 4-star hotel rating.

Hotel Allegro is beautiful and is a monumental landmark in Chicago s night life. Be careful with parking out front.. I received a parking ticket because I unknowingly payed for time during rush hour when no parking is allowed. $100. They do offer a great price on a parking garage located across the street. The area is walkable, with the Chicago boat tours/waterway at about a 20 minute walk.

Lovely experience here at the Allegro Royal Sonesta Hotel! Gorgeous building with architecture straight out of the 20s. The rooms were very well decorated. Easy access to parking. Best part of the experience was Michael and the rest of the staff, who were extremely helpful, friendly, and welcoming. A few previous comments mention the lack of coffee makers and microwaves - while the rooms don't have these automatically, the staff made it clear that they would be happy to accommodate a request if one is wanted. Will definitely stay here upon our return to Chicago.

Pricey yet acting cheap. The pillows they provided had stains on it. Usually in even the cheapest hotel I have seen them provide atlest 1 extra toilet paper but even that wasn't available here. I see two coffee cups in the room but I was wondering what were they exactly hoping to do. Like I don't see a coffee maker in the room. Overall poor quality for the price. High in price and low in quality. Really disappointed.

Coming from out of town, we were nervous about checking in and getting bags to the room. Where the white car is in the first photo shows there is plenty of room to pull up, check in and the bell hop will help with bags. It made our arrival super easy and relieved us of our stress. Rooms are beautiful, roomy and as a family of 4 we were quite comfortable. Stayed here during Covid, staff will not enter your room. We have asked for extra towels and not only did the staff bring us extra towels but also brought us extra toilet paper. They were thinking beyond what we needed and that was really appreciated. I highly recommend staying here and want to shout out to the bell man/security man that helped us, BEST service ever!!!

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Beautiful Hotel with roaring 20s decor! We stayed in the King Suite with the the 2 person tub and it was absolutely worth it! The bar was closed unfortunately, and there were a lot of places closed early due to the pandemic.
