Colorful and well-kept hostel in a strategic position, close to Garibaldi station, in a neighborhood that shows the face of real Naples. The owners are absolutely super nice and helpful, both to give advice and to offer a plate of pasta and beans, if necessary;). Stevo and Nancy are simply fabulous and super pleasant! I will definitely be returning in the future. Recommended!!

This hostel has a very convenient location, as it is a 2-minute walk from the cs. The neighborhood is not a very nice neighborhood and I can imagine if some people do not feel very comfortable walking around here (especially at night alone). However, I have had no problems.
The people are very helpful and nice. They are very helpful in helping you find your way to Pompei for example and you will receive a map of Naples from them upon arrival.
The hostel is clean, and the rooms are nice. It's just very noisy and it's a bit annoying that you have to share the bathroom with quite a lot of people.
A great hostel! It feels like home with a nice atmosphere. Everything is very clean and nice. The breakfast is complete and at will. The staff are welcoming and very good advice to visit the city. The place is perfect for great meetings! Thank you
Hostel is pretty good. The rooms were fine and clean. Didn't had any issues with the service. They do have complimentary breakfast at the kitchen which is a plus point. The wifi speed was also pretty great. Will recommend if you're visiting Naples and looking for a place to stay on a budget. PS:The hostel is actually on the second floor and you have buzz the door bell to get into the building.
Hello, I really felt very comfortable being here, I met very nice people and thank you very much for the attention that both people gave me of resepcion, I would return with you without hesitation :)
Near the train station, people who catch trains are very convenient to live in. The inside is quite clean, but the streets are dirty and dirty. It is not safe for girls to come back alone at night.
Stayed here for just one night. Staff were really really great. Felt at home from the second I walked through the door. Great fascilities and advice on what to do/where to go.
Perfect location for station & airport shuttle.
100% recomended
Big sbout out to my party people / the Breezer massive. You know who you are
Hostel Mancini is a fantastic hostel. I have done my fair share of traveling in the last few years over multiple continents and I can easily say that Hostel Mancini (in terms of staff, cleanliness, and that general welcoming feeling) goes far beyond the norm. Although the area outside the hostel made me a little bit uncomfortable (which I expected as it is conveniently close to the train station), as soon as I walked through the hostel doors I felt happy and safe. The general decor inside is colorful and vibrant, with unique, tasteful touches such as pizza boxes lining the walls (to play tribute to Naples as the home of pizza). The staff there was also extremely helpful and hands on. I was greeted by the owner himself, who gave me a map with directions to get to Pompeii, Almalfi, Positano, Capri, and Ischia. He also suggested a walking tour along the beautiful Naples waterfront and historical center, explained which castles have the best views (and are the cheapest), and where to get the best pizza. After being shown my room (a comfortable 5 person dorm) I took a tour of the hostel: it is small and cozy, with the bedrooms separated from the common areas by a stairwell which helps keep it very quiet. The common areas are a different story, with a lively check in/out area, the kitchen, a great TV room and book exchange area, and a dining room (which we used to eat AND play cards), After my quick tour, I joined other guests in the kitchen area, which is spacious, clean, and well stocked with a large refrigerator and freezer, pots, pans, cooking utensils, salt, oil, and dishes for eating---Any traveler on a budget knows how important it is to have a nice kitchen in the hostel!! Breakfast is served in the same kitchen from 8 to 10, and it goes beyond a typical Italian spread, offering cookies and nutella, toast and jam, cereal, yogurt, tea, milk, hot chocolate, and American coffee. Plenty of sugar and caffeine to start the day off right!! I liked the city and the hostel so much that I extended my stay from 3 nights to 6. An excellent decision because I got to enjoy the weekly pasta dinner served by the staff: free pasta and gelato for everyone who signs up!! I could not have asked for a better place to call "home" during my week in Naples. Thank you Hostel Mancini! I had a blast!!
Great hostel! The owners are very helpful and kind, they are helping me plan my trip and giving me great tips. The area is very convenient being so close to the station and a 20 minute walk to the port where you can take the ferries to any Island or do daytrips to Amalfy coast, Pompeii and Vesuvius. It is also very close to the historic center! The beds are super comfortable and the rooms are spacious and have everything you need, outlet next to the bed, hangers and closet space, the bathroom is inside the 4 and it is large and very clean, even have a hairdryer! There is also balcony and AC. Breakfast is very good! There is a lounge room with a TV to chill out. The hostel it's on the second floor with an elevator. I truly recommend this Hostel
Everything was clean, the breakfast is really consistent and you have the chance to meet a lot of people because it's one of the most popular places in Naples. The location is not great, the street is scary and dirty but usually nothing happens and you can go out. Or at least while I was there it seemed like that.
Despite the good location, the street where the hostel is situated is very dirty and unwelcoming. The cutlery is also more than second rate. Management during my stay was very poor as the given room did not meet the bookings specifications, there were no 2 beds.
I really loved the location, so quiet and quaint. I would stay here again, the staff was very friendly and helpful at any given time I enjoyed eating the breakfast with the other guests
The owner Alfredo and his wife Margarita were so helpfull, making me stay 5 instead of 2 nights I coudn't have had better recommendations then from you 2 Thanks to the friendly Nancy for being so positive while serving the breakfast It was a pleasure to feel your good energy ( in the morning when it's the most needed hehe)
I recommend this hostel to everyone visiting Naples/Pompei/Sorrento/ Amalfi coast / ...
There comes a point in every holiday where you just need a day or two to yourself either because you're exhausted or you're sick. This place has several hours a day were you are literally not allowed in your room.
Also, every single night I was there, there were 20-30 single men quietly standing outside on our block just waiting. It was a terrifying area.
An ok hostel in an awful street. Stayed there two nights and i was worried the whole time id get mugged walking out the door. Manager was nice though and had decent communal facilities.
Nice staff, they help me out with every concern, comfortable bed and a nice bath, didn't have any problems and If I'm visiting Napoli definitely would stay here again.
Great hostel where I stayed during my trip to Naples. The extremely helpful staff who gave me advice on places to visit and on season tickets for public transport. Clean rooms and comfortable bed. If I return to Naples I would choose this hostel again!
Super good vibes the hostel girls, the first attention, although the area is not so nice, the location is perfect, clean place and with all the amenities.
Rooms are clean as well as the bathrooms, the area doesn t feel the safest especially if you re a female on your own. My lock didn t fit the lockers and I had a bit of cash tucked away hidden in my bag and unfortunately one of the people in my room took what I had, so that s a real bummer.
Located 5 minutes walk from Central Station. The prices are very low, but the place is still very comfortable and the staff is extremely welcoming and attentive to the needs of the guests. On a regular basis, evenings and activities are organized in the common room and meetings can be easily arranged. Eg: pasta nights, pizza, sangria, etc.
Super friendly at all times, they always gave me even more information than I asked. I felt like family. The hostel is beautiful. I highly recommend it !!!
I was unlucky enough to share a room with a lady with a mobility problem who made everyone in the room unable to sleep properly, in my opinion it was a mistake for the Hostel to allocate the person unable to share the room with other people, I tried to change room and even with availability of other beds I was informed that I should pay an extra night for it. Simple breakfast, little noise from the street. Great cleaning in general, great air conditioning and very close to the Napoli Centrale
Great value for the price. The location can't be beat, especially if you're coming late from the airport. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, and coffee and tea were available 24/7.
I can't write about the dorms, but our double was good enough, though facing the back alley, there was light right outside the window, and a better curtain could have helped.
The neighborhood is a bit seedy, but we never felt any sense of danger. Like any other big city.
This was a great place for us to spend our four nights in Naples.
Lovely hostel, friendly reception staff and good facilities. We were in a 2 bed private dorm with shared bathroom and the room was lovely, had a sink (although slight risk of being bitten since you're in Naples and by the sea!). Free breakfast given every morning with a generous amount of food to choose from, covid measures in place too! Hostel staff seemed unaware you can still buy cheaper tickets in person rather than online or through them so be sure to check this out before paying at the hostel for something!
The hostel is neat and clean,it is situated very much in the heart of the city, the station a stone's throw away. Also the airport is pretty near, took me about 15 mins in a taxi to reach the place. The people at the reception are really good and very helpful. They have lockers in the room, for which if you bring a padlock is very good to keep your precious items. Will remember my stay here.
The stuff is very kind ,friendly and willing to help you solve your problem even you didn t live there. They can speak English very well. It is near to the Naples central station around 300-400 meters. Enjoy your journey in Naples!
The staff of the Youth Hostel are very nice and enthusiastic. Their clerk jake is really amazing! Help me find ways and find people. It is a typical gathering area for literary youth! ! I will stay here next time I come to play
I give it 5 stars because I really felt at home. Both the staff and the owners were super nice and warm to me. Valeria gave me very good recommendations for tourist sites and bars to visit.
It is a hostel that I would recommend 100% in relation to price quality, it is somewhat far from the center but very close to the station to be able to make trips to Pompei or other cities on the Amalfi Coast.
It is clean, it is small but comfortable, the breakfast is very complete - perhaps they could add fruit - and at a good price.
Clean hostel with soundproofed rooms, air conditioning and common kitchen. The owners are very kind and helpful. All staff can speak at least three languages and I therefore recommend this facility to travelers of any gender, age and nationality. A stone's throw from the historic center and the train and bus station
Clean rooms and services, very genitle hostel staff. More precise information on the road and the bell ring could help, but a little eye is enough and you are well. Recommended
Very close to train station, however area felt unsafe, rooms are small, beds are extremely squeaky and it's very noisy outside. Makes it difficult to sleep. Cleanliness okay. Would not stay again due to poor sleep. Staff are nice though!
Very friendly staff who explains what to see in Naples. Simple but decent breakfast. Common areas and air-conditioned rooms, padlock to be provided for the locker in the rooms. The hostel is part of an apartment building. I recommend
My first hostel experience, I stayed three nights in a female dorm. In the female dormitory the bathroom is in the room with the possibility of using another bathroom outside the room in case of need. The room was large enough, I slept with 4 other girls, and on the balcony there was the possibility to hang clothes; In this regard, I would add that there is the possibility of using the laundry, I have never used it as I limited myself to rinsing clothes in the sink. There was an air conditioner and additional blankets. I had breakfast only once but I can say it was good; there is the possibility to choose between different types of bread in bags, cereals, spreads, American coffee, milk ... the only flaw is that there is no fruit!
We arrive at the area: it is located in Piazza Garibaldi, a stone's throw from the central station. Not a safe zone, no use lying. The owner told me that this is where the historic center begins, I don't know ... when I told some Neapolitans about the location of my hostel they told me it's not a safe area at all. During the day ok, but in the evening for a single girl it is not recommended. The night I went back to my room later it was 9pm and I didn't feel comfortable ... The fault lies not with the hostel, on the contrary! I was able to leave my backpack at the reception after check-in to go for lunch and the owner reassured me saying that they are there 24 hours a day making me feel safe. Here, this is something worth noting: 24 hour reception! So you can get in and out without problems, without time limits.
In conclusion, the hostel is excellent. The cleaning is perfect, the staff very kind and present. The services are excellent, I always had lunch in the structure and I could also make myself coffee with mocha !! I will return to this structure if not traveling alone .. for my next solo trip to Naples I will probably opt for a hostel as centrally as possible, where obviously the cost is inevitably higher.
You should not judge a book by its cover, it looks like an old and decaying hotel and you can not see how excellent this hotel is. They are pleasant rooms, perfect for travelers, the atmosphere of the place is pleasant, the attention and help for guests is excellent to enjoy your stay, the price is super comfortable and is located in an area where there are several options for mobilization
I've been told by several people to go to Naples and stay at Hostel Mancini. I did and I had a wonderful experience. Great location, nice hostel, wonderful people. Every single person there was always ready to help and answer to all of my questions. Right in front of Napoli Central Station and trains to Pompeii and Sorrento. I highly recommend Hostel Mancini to everybody. Thanks guys for making my stay unforgettable.
Really clean hostel and nice staff! Fresh and feels newly renovated. Good breakfast. But.. the building has mold. Still really nice though if you can get used to the smell.
Great hostel, amazing staff. They gave us the best tips on where to visit and how to get there. The room was good, with air conditioning, nice bathroom, very clean, good breakfast, cool common room. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about the place. Close to the train station and also some great places to visit and eat. Will definitely recommend it to my friends and everyone. You won't regret it. Many thanks to the friendliest staff.
I have to say, it's not easy to find it at first time, especially at night. Some say the surrounding streets are really messy, I think they are fine... (Not the best for sure) The hostel located on second floor, aka the third floor, because the first floor in Italy is ground floor... Staffs are super nice and helpful and seems they are really passionate about their city, which I think is a really good thing! Location is good, 5min walk to central train station and also close to several good pizza places. Room is ok, sometime has wifi issue in my room. Free breakfast included. A nice hostel to stay in Napoli, if you gonna go outside the city, aka Pompeii, Sorrento...
I've been to Naples 2 years ago, and I can't wait to come back soon! I will definitely stay at Hostel Mancini once again. The service was great, friendly staff, clean areas, fast and reliable wifi. See you soon :)
I stayed here for 5 nights but I wish I had stayed there for more! The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was good. Pasta night (free) on saturday was very nice and the atmosphere was like at home! I felt completely safe in my dorm,i would recommend this hostel to anyone
Super helpful staff, great location and fair price. Was a little daunted by the (dodgy) market out the front at first, but felt totally safe inside. The fact that breakfast is included is great and the little things like in-room wifi, decent showers and thick pillows are definitely appreciated. The train station is really close so it's easy to visit Pompeii (definitely worth the trip). Thanks for a great stay!
Friendly and accessible staff, place within walking distance of the station and also clean ^^ I had no problem and I would like to come back another time
A GREAT HOSTEL !! It is very clean, full breakfast included and above all, the people at the reception are very friendly, they help you with everything (maps, places to eat, train schedules, places to go out at night), and they speak Spanish haha. VERY RECOMMENDED, large kitchen and very comfortable and cheap pieces. It has a supermarket and the train station very close, this is very important. Greetings !!
Good price for a decent, clean, cozy hostel. Wifi is a little wonky, but there's a laptop you can use in the main room. I wish there were more plugs in the room though. Owner was very nice and friendly. The free breakfast is a bonus!
Hostel Mancini is in a side street in the central station area of Naples, it is very easy to reach on foot, given the crazy traffic of Naples, however hostello means above all sharing, of room spaces, every day you hear a different language spoken, however the friendly and highly trained owners will welcome you with open arms
