Beautiful common room with open kitchen. The common area really put me under a spell it just makes you want to hang out there. Altogether you have a great first impression when you enter the hostel - the decoration and the colors are very soothing and you immediately feel comforted.
Altogether it s also a nice living space. Beds are solid for a hostel in this price area. Shared bathrooms are probably not to everyone s liking but kept clean and I weirdly appreciated the location.
Also they offer some great activities which we enjoyed a lot - staff was very nice and helpful and tried to connect people.
Big minus is the pool table which is just bad as hell and cost me some serious game winners ;)
Would probably stay there again.

A great hostel in the center of Guadalajara. The interior architecture has a great classic look and there is a large common area for meeting other travelers. Additionally there are fun activities available every day. One downside, however, is that the dorm rooms have windows which open to a fairly busy street which can be loud at night.

The first week was mostly quiet and uneventful. I renewed for a second week on Orbitz. Right when the second week started the hostel went crazy. A girl tested positive for covid and she was allowed to stay in the dorm which had no social distancing. I asked one of the staff if they had told the other guests in the dorm and he said no it would cause chaos. It's absolutely unconscionable to subject other guests to such a health risk without their knowledge. Additionally, on multiple occasions people were smoking weed inside the living room of the hostel. I don't really care if people smoke or not but no one should be forced to have to smell it. Thirdly, there was an old guy that came and hung out at the hostel all the time but wasn't a guest. He apparently had a history of epilepsy and one day had a seizure in the kitchen. The seizure could be described as tonic clonic which means it goes on for a lengthy period of time. Such a seizure can cause permanent damage. The hostel failed to call an ambulance and continue to let this guy hang out in the hostel. I was tempted to tell other guests that this girl had covid but it's a very fine line disclosing somebody else's medical issues.

Whoever responded to my review, thats the craziest most inane answer I've seen on Google. 1. The girl with Covid was on my IG, I have the video/story where she said she tested positive for Covid. Anyone can contact me for the video. 2. I have video and photos of the guy having the seizure in the kitchen of the hostel. Please feel free to contact me to view. 3. There is a You Tube review of Hostel Hospedarte centro coming as well as a blog entry, The Five Worst Hostels In Mexico.
