We slept there last night ... devastating experience ... we took a double and a quadruple x 75 euros each with b & b treatment ... among the photos I see there is not one that really portrays the room in which we slept ... bed arranged with a dusty bedside, I understand it was a former convent, but the nuns' mattresses could have been changed at least ... 30-year-old windows that let in chill air ... the bathroom? broken tablet, shower without even a curtain, no bidet that I miss in France ... no TV ... no duvets like in the photos, but covered with military style wool ... I also made the mistake of looking under the bed before leaving the room, I had never done it ... the dust was the one left by the nuns probably ... I don't even tell you about breakfast ... a good thing was there in all this horror, the room is accessed with an electronic card .... now I say, with all the money there would be to spend in the structure x make it not luxurious, but livable, think about the electronic card? anyway, believe me, I strongly advise you not to book in this place, beyond the money (which are not few), it is your health ...

We booked a room with a bathroom. Clean, equipped with everything you need. Great location. The only flaw is that if you arrive after 11 the reception is closed and reopens at 15. It is a hostel so it fits.

Absolutely beautiful place to sleep for several days, if you are thinking going to Salerno with family and kids...this is the ideal place, is safe and secure, breakfast very affordable, people very pleasant Irma and Donatella are wonderful hostesses, close to the beach, bus stop, duomo, shopping mall (huge and affordable), food for any taste and any pocket, people around are very friendly. if you bring lots of clothing you will be sorry, don't worry like I said, there is for every pocket (food and clothing).

Simple, but very welcoming. Very clean, very quiet. Even without air conditioning, we never felt hot. The blades and very large windows were more than enough. Enchanting panoramic view. Strategic position in the center and near the sea. We had booked 3 nights and went out of our way to stay another 2 ... Given the price!

Overall good, the structure is dated, in the historic center, so it is better not to come by car, here there are no parking lots. The girls at the reception are all very friendly and helpful and deserve 5 stars. Our room was large, a bit spartan and not equipped for disabled people (shower too small with a step and no hand shower) but for 2 nights we adapted. Good breakfast.

In relation to the price, the structure is welcoming, prepared and kind staff, typical setting of the historical center of the place but functional. recommended for those who prefer the convenience of the location (full historical center) and the substance compared to the form (small and dated bathroom but very clean). I will return there.

Old hospital transformed in hotel. Rooms are very big and comfort spartiate.
Great patio and incredibly well located.

Warmly recommend to follow the instructions they send via email for parking. Parking in Salerno at night is a nightmare

In the heart of the historic center of Salerno, in via dei Canali, it has kept its convent appearance offering its guests rooms all with private bathrooms. The location is characteristic and at the same time quiet. The staff is professional and at the same time very kind. Prices are affordable even in this period, during the demonstration of the artistic lights. Born as a hostel today, it is a real point of reference for those who want to enjoy a peaceful stay in this beautiful city.

Hostel located in the historic center of Salerno a few steps from the wonderful San Pietro a Corte complex and the ancient Palazzo Fruscione. An area rich in history and traditions.
Hostel with a sublime and elegant inner court in which to spend pleasant moments of relaxation before any excursion.

The Salerno hostel is much more than one might expect from a "normal" hostel and it is no coincidence that it has been awarded several times as one of the best on the international circuit. Located in the heart of the historic center, so close to everything there is to see in Salerno, it occupies a historic building in whose courtyard events are often organized or simply you can have breakfast or have a drink.
The rooms are comfortable and the staff always available.
Definitely an excellent solution, regardless of the small cost, for those who decide to spend a few days in Salerno.

Clean and nice hostel. Friendly and helpful staff. The essential for a visit to Salerno, also because it is located in the historic center. Where at 2 steps you have the sea and many places.

Nice hostel in a good location. Staff have no issue speaking English and they have a wealth of knowledge about the local area. They can help you and provide suggestions to all your vacation-related inquiries.

The building itself is interesting and has character as a 12th century convent, accordingly, the retrofitted elevator is slow. The location of the hostel is wonderful, very close to the ferries to/from Capri, a plethora of restaurants and bars nearby, bathroom facilities were nice as well with a hairdryer that one can use.

terribly! the shower in the room was not working and they did not fix it but we were told to take a shower in the public bathroom of the hostel where you cannot lock it rude and unfriendly staff. unclean bathrooms. to avoid!

The structure is spectacular. There are many rooms all very nice but a bit bare. The beautiful interior cloister. The great location, right in the historic center.
In general it has great potential, just a few more precautions. Breakfast good but I expected more local dishes.

In the historic center so convenient, 15 minutes walk from the train station where the Frecciarossa also arrives, if it rains in a taxi for 10 euros. Cheap, friendly staff, large clean rooms. Very satisfied.

I did not like because there was no air condition, there was not clean, there was no bidet, the rooms were small, there was no television, no one could take away sandwiches for breakfast ... however the breakfast was good

Well sized room, with an extra bed, tv and good bathroom with amenities. If you're a Russian oligarch looking for the best hotel in Italy, this aint it. But for the average "broke" traveler, it does the job quite well, and cheaply.

Great location and beautiful location ... but this is not about the hostel owner. In fact, the management here seems to be a little leaning on itself: completely anonymous rooms and corridors, without a character, despite the historical place offering innumerable ideas. At various points in the structure I noticed skipped skirting boards, falling plaster and other small signs of neglect. Who manages the hostel of Salerno should visit similar facilities in Europe to understand how to make rooms more welcoming and give style and character to the place. Although we are in 2017 Italian tourists still ask for extra money for a card ... but for foreign tourists it is not necessary, boh!

As for the location it would be ok if you implement some silly but basic improvements, I think I paid too much for what it offered when it comes to the hostel should be in the price!

Nice place, very cheap and therefore suitable for those who, like us, travel a bit on a budget.
Run by young people and I must say very well. Equipped with an American bar (from 6 pm), restaurant, breakfast room, small cloister where you can rest, and Wi-Fi!

Clean hostel and helpful staff. Pretty close to a decent beach and otherwise in a good location. Let me drop my bags off when I arrived early so didn't have to carry them around all day.
