My husband had been under their care for a few weeks. As a result of brain damage he suffered from a serious stroke, he has become prone to aggressive outbursts. Two HOV ladies witnessed this and became intimidated by him. Instead of sending men over here to replace them, HOV chose to terminate his services. They left us completely in the lurch. He has stage 4 rectal cancer as well. He is without medication, supplies, or any medical care whatsoever. If he has a medical emergency there is nobody we can call.

I have had Hospice of the Valley taking care of my husband for almost two years. They are the best! I can't say enough on how wonderful they are. My husband has Alzheimer's and I was caring for him full time by myself. They came in half an hour of me calling them and took care of everything. They helped me find a wonderful place for him to live. I was with another hospice who were charging me for everything. Got rid of them fast!! Go with Hospice of the Valley.
I just want to thank the HOV staff for all that they do for the community and their patients. I work in caregiving and have referred back and forth with HOV staff for years. I appreciate that they do what they can to get patients in touch with all services that will improve their quality of life. Thank you HOV staff for all that you do!
My mother was a resident of one of the high-end senior living facilities in Scottsdale (you'd recognize the name). She had round-the-clock caregivers, but a medical condition arose that required more significant care. The care facility where she was didn't seem to be able to provide what she needed. We checked with the hospital where she had been seen many times, and they weren't able to offer anything either. We truly didn't know where to turn. It was at that point we reached out to Hospice of the Valley. We didn't know much about Hospice at that point, but we soon learned that the range of services they're able to provide is nothing short of astonishing. From medical equipment to doctors (and dentists who make house calls!), to nurses who check in regularly, we went from not knowing where to turn, to feeling that our mom was safe, and being helped by truly caring people. It's no exaggeration to say that Hospice of the Valley was a major reason her last days were comfortable. Perhaps most importantly, she was able to spend them in her own place, in familiar surroundings. Hospice of the Valley was a blessing, in the truest sense of the word.
They were not very helpful and double talked a care plan. Nurses were lazy, Social worker was aloof and NOT helpful. The CNA ( i sure wish i could remember his name) was terrific and should be training this group on compassion and care. I am so disillusioned about hospice because i ve heard great things about hospice and found this to not be true with this company.
Hospice of the Valley, Dobson House took care of my Mom with such care and compassion. Dr. Meyer's and her staff were wonderful and informative. My family and I are so greatful for showing her such kindness, compassion and love.
There are hundreds of hospice companies in AZ. I didn't know which one to choose so I asked my mother's group home who they like to work with and they said Hospice of the Valley. It was a terrific recommendation! Great people to work with - listened to my concerns, worked with my schedule so that I could be there when the nurse was visiting the group home, returned calls within 24 hours (same day most times), delivered medications and equipment quickly, took care of all necessary paperwork. After Mom passed, Hospice of the Valley offered bereavement support groups at no cost. I would choose this company again.
Hospice of the Valley was there every time we needed them. They were compassionate and supportive during our time of need and helped us through the painful process of loss. They provided care for my father, father-in-law, and mother-in-law and encouraged us to be there for each of them as family members, not as their caretakers. We were also able to utilize their counseling services and support groups to help us deal with our grief. Losing someone you love is never easy, but Hospice of the Valley helped us survive it.
Hospice of the Valley went above and beyond answering my calls/questions anytime day/night and the RN's genuinely cared for our dad keeping him comfortable with durable medical equipment and medication up to his final hour. I will certainly request Hospice of the Valley again in the future for any of my loved ones. May God Bless Hospice of the Valley for the care they provide for our community.
My wife suffered Alzheimer's disease for almost eleven years. I was her caregiver most of the time which proved to be one of the most important and rewarding roles in my life. However, I sought and received help from a variety of resources available to us in both Scottsdale and Phoenix, AZ. Bringing Hospice of the Valley into our home for nursing and bathing care was one of the smartest decisions we ever made in our 56 year marriage. She remained in their care when later moved to an Alzheimer's care facility in Scottsdale and finally to HOV's Eckstein Center where she passed. I can't say enough good things about the doctors, nurses, social workers, chaplains and HOV volunteers we interacted with throughout our journey. Thus, I highly recommend Hospice of the Valley for providing compassion, professionalism, quality of life and comfort for the persons in their care, for their caregivers and for their family's peace of mind.
