My wife suffered Alzheimer's disease for almost eleven years. I was her caregiver most of the time which proved to be one of the most important and rewarding roles in my life. However, I sought and received help from a variety of resources available to us in both Scottsdale and Phoenix, AZ. Bringing Hospice of the Valley into our home for nursing and bathing care was one of the smartest decisions we ever made in our 56 year marriage. She remained in their care when later moved to an Alzheimer's care facility in Scottsdale and finally to HOV's Eckstein Center where she passed. I can't say enough good things about the doctors, nurses, social workers, chaplains and HOV volunteers we interacted with throughout our journey. Thus, I highly recommend Hospice of the Valley for providing compassion, professionalism, quality of life and comfort for the persons in their care, for their caregivers and for their family's peace of mind.
