This place was an incredible blessing to our family during my grandmother's final days with us.. They kept her comfortable and it allowed us to be with her 24/7. Also, it afforded us the privacy we desired as a family to say our goodbyes and for her to pass from this life with dignity and grace!

I want to start by saying it is a beautiful facility. I do believe this place was founded under real values of love and care of the sick needing a place to be in the end. But it must have changed over time. The rooms are huge, gardens and fountains are also beautiful.

I m leaving a review because my mom (now deceased) asked me to. She was only 63. She had cancer. She was a very sweet, reasonable, kind person but felt incredibly disrespected and almost hated during her short stay. Her family is/was also very kind to staff. She cried every time I left for the evening because the staff would ignore her. She would call my cell frantically saying no one would respond to her. One day she said a nurse threw a blanket at her when she said she was cold, and said can t you reach it?!. I m a nurse and I could never imagine that. hated leaving her there.

She also felt that no one should be treated like that near death. A peaceful exit should be granted no matter what. Just a few days after getting referred out of the hospital to what she thought was going to be her final place (Christopher House) she was forced out she of Christopher House and she died 3 days later on September 7 2017 of cancer at age 63. She was judged there because she still wanted to eat dinner (barely), and wasn t in a coma. Again, this post is on behalf of my mom. She was a sweet and lovely lady. She didn t deserve to be judged for still being able to eat a little. She was about to die. They just further aggravated the situation. It s sad. I had heard such good things.

I m sharing to help those who haven t chosen a final place for their dearest loved one. I do hope Christopher House improves their ways, because I see potential. Love to you all.

Christopher House is a blessing to our community and to so many families. The angels who work and volunteer at Christopher House have been a God sent to our family. We are forever grateful!

I love the people that work here. My Mom was in their care and left this Earth 2/23/21. I loved each caregiver that came into the room with us, the level of love, care, and compassion shown is more than I could ever explain. I appreciate that love that was given not to just my Mom, but to me in a very emotional time.

Absolutely amazing, healing environment. Whether you get better (or not), this place is incredible. The second I allowed myself to be cared for & relinquished control, the minute I felt at ease. Their staff & volunteers are truly amazing, caring for each patient & family member as if they were their own! The facility is zen-like, each suite large & accommodating for up to 2 overnight guests (& family dog with up-to-date shots). They let you hang pictures & allow visitors anytime. The food is very good & served three times a day, small fee for visitors caring for patients. There are all types of superb volunteers: massage therapists, acupuncturists, singers, jack-of-all trades volunteers, piano players, & dogs to pet! Whole Foods delivers flowers here for free also, very kind....I love this place!

Staff is kind, caring, and competent. Always available for care and comfort. Always ready to reassure families too. This is our third need for them, and they consistently make difficult times easier to endure. Earthly angels.

Hospice Austin, and the staff were angels during a very difficult time for my family. It was amazing how they worked. When I look back, there was definitely a system in place, because it ran flawlessly. From the nurses, social workers, chaplain .even paying my moms utilities bills. It all was there just in time. We were not waiting for help. The people are what made it special. His last days were not chaotic, but was a process and a time for healing for my family. My mom still talks about it today, and raves about Hospice Austin to anyone who will listen.

My father passed away at Christopher House. He was treated with kindness, love, dignity and warmth. The atmosphere is very peaceful and serene. The entire staff were attentive, caring and professional. They are very special. Words cannot express the gratitude I feel for them in how they lovingly cared for my father.
