Called looking for emergency services. Closed for the holiday but their answering machine gave referrals to other clinics which were open. Thank you very much

Hopewell should be shut down.
My experiences with my dog and my cat were horrific.
I came in early to pick up my pets after boarding them, and found them in small cages, filled with their own feces.
Along with a sign on my cats cage, saying " She Bites". My cat had never tried to even bite anyone. They also declawed my cat while getting spayed without consent.
When I tried to talk to them they were rude, used foul language, and refused to acknowledge that there was any wrong doing on their part.
Beware they can put on a good show upfront. That is of they even acknowledge you when you walk in a stand at the counter and are complaining about life and you stand there waiting.
Bring your pets anywhere else!!!!

Not taking new customers. Been going there for decades. They're knowledgable, they care, are convenient and affordable.

Its good place to bring our pets and take care of them.

My mother and I have been bringing our three beautiful German Shepherds here and before that my grandmother aunt and myself have always brought our pets here Dr. Ray Hostetter is a great vet! I also love their honesty and I find that the prices are pretty reasonable. I also like the fact that there are more than two veterinarians there I believe there is a total of 5 the staff is also very kind and helpful! I always recommend Hopewell veterinarian group to friends or anyone in need of a vet. I now live in Pennsylvania with my boyfriend we also bring our little Bichon there as well we truly believe it is worth the drive which is close to 25 minutes we also ran into another couple while we were there last time and they travel 45 minutes to see them so that's got to tell you something!

We took our dog here and the vet gave us medicine for our dog and he got worse so we took him to belle mead and gave him medicine that worked

I used to bring my dogs and guinea pigs to hopewell but I stopped going to this vet about 3 years ago after many bad experiences! Every time I would go there they would bring me into an exam room with used needles or garbage laying on the counters from the last patient. The last time I was there I brought my guinea pig and they barely did an exam on him and gave me some medicine for a infection and said that's all. My poor piggy ended up dying that very night in my arms.

I have been telling my mom to stop bringing her dog there for years now and she didn't want to listen to me. They kept saying the dog was fine and she had allergies or sipmple diagnosis's. Friday night we had to rush my moms dog to animerge because she could barely walk... come to find out hopewell has been feeding my mom lies and not giving her dogs proper diagnosis and now the poor dog might not make it through.

DO NOT TRUST HOPEWELL!!!

They are friendly, love animals and give the best possible care. We have taken our dogs to this vet for several years. They keep our dogs healthy and are affordable. Most recently, they were able to help our dog with a pinched nerve to feel better.

Lucy, our17 year old dog, is happy to go there for the great "personal" and professional attention she gets.

My husband took our dog to the vet today and unfortantely I couldn't go because I had a meeting for work. My dog has been very uncomfortable lately; biting, licking, and scratching all over. I wrote detailed notes of my dogs behavior and home treatments I have tried. Dr. Greco thoroughly examined my dog, and tested her for numerous possibililites. He created a detailed plan of action for us to take if her condition does not improve. He even wrote out detailed notes on the back of the notes sheet I had provided!! Reading his notes made me feel like I was at the appointment too!! (Pregnant mama here anxious about her first born fur baby!) Thank you so much Dr. Greco! My husband and I so appreciative of the great care you provided our Polly!

They are always so nice and professional. Even after moving 45 minutes away, we still go to them. They also have a great walk in service for emergencies.

The vets are great, have been coming to Hopewell more than 50 years.

I have been using the Hopewell Veterinary Group since 1980. The vets and staff are friendly and helpful. They have saved many of my animals over the years and when I have had animals die from old age or accidents, they were extremely compassionate. I have called them at all hours, day and night and have had nothing but the best care and attention I could ever ask for. I have many different types of animals like tortoises, snakes and lizards as well as dogs, cats, goats and horses. The advise I receive from them has helped me to keep all my critters happy and healthy over the years. They are affordable, practical and will be my Veterinarians for as long as I own animals.

Recommended by former veterinarian of 20+ yrs...all of the staff at HVG are helpful & kind...I always feel my furry friends are well cared for..& that the veterinarians have their best interests at heart! THANKS!

Dr. Smith has been so wonderful with both of my bulldogs. I will only see him since he is familiar with my dogs. But the staff is very friendly, and helpful. i always recommend Hopewell Valley Vet to all my fur moms and dads!

I have been with Hopewell from the beginning..even though I now live in Pa I still travel there with all my pets for all their needs. A special acknowledgment to Dr Hostetter who has done an amazing job since he began an to Dr Elbert whose care of horses and smaller animals is to be commended. A fabulous place with truly caring and dedicated staff!!!

No frills, but good doctors. They know what they're doing and the prices are reasonable. Always have answers and visits are quick and easy.

Nice down to earth people. They care more about your pet's health than making money.

I brought my 16 year old dog today for she is having vomiting issues and I have had her since I was 25 and I'm now 41. So little upset and frazzled and they were so great with me and her the nurses and staff. Love Dr greco. You guys worked so hard today trying to keep all happy.

These people genuinely care about You and your pet. They are sensitive about the emotional welfare of the pet and it's owner. They are a professional group of quality Veterinarians. I've been a client there for the past 34 years. BTW their prices are reasonable . They don't gouge , like some Vet clinics DO.

Great care and affordable prices, the evening walk in hours are convenient for 9-5 workers or when something randomly comes up with your pet. All around great experience.

I highly recommend this Veterinary Practice. To simply put, they are the best around. I have been going here with my dog now for 8 years since he was a puppy. Everyone at Hopewell Veterinary Group is knowledgeable and will go to great lengths to make sure your pet is well cared for. I look forward to taking my dog here for many years to come.

I moved to the area about 2 years ago. My 'baby', a 14 year old Mainecoon - Gianni, started showing signs of weight loss and I noticed he wasn't eating just a few months ago. I became worried and started him on wet food. That method was short lived. He was starting to act strange. I took him to a local Veterinary (of which I will not name for the sake of slander) who brushed it off as a gum infection. Forcing antibiotics and pain relievers in him caused much distress and heartbreak. He resented me for it and refused to come near me. I cannot begin to tell you how bad that hurt. My in-laws made the judgement call to take him to their Vet - Hopewell Veterinary Group.. The Vet (although was a little insensitive) knew exactly what Gianni needed. He took his time with him and covered all the bases. Sometimes we mistake tough love for in-sensitiveness. I guess it was a case of 'Truth Hurts'. He found a tumor the size of a Plum on his left kidney (cancer) and the blood panel was thorough and detailed which detected Feline Leukemia. The other Vet completely overlooked the obvious. My baby went from 28lbs to 12lbs and there was no surgery to fix his health. I was faced with the hardest decision of my life. But the Vet at Hopewell knew how traumatic this was for me and my family and the state of health he was in. They were comforting, respectful and catered to this difficult situation. Our privacy was highly respected and he even helped me position him in his coffin as though he was peacefully sleeping. I respect that everyone has an opinion and as I was reading the previous comments, I came across the one that described Hopewell as nothing more that a 'Farm Vet'. Well, farm animals are pets too regardless where they live. I believe they are even more knowledgeable than a cat/dog vet as their experience clearly is more vast. Their facility is far from the Hilton and doesn't have all the 'bells and whistles' but they don't rape you on charges either. I spent over $300 at the other Vet who only did a check up.. Hopewell did EVERYTHING!! Exam, full panel, sedation for evaluation and eventually euthanasia for less than HALF. They care about your babies and they care about you! We will be going back there very soon with our new addition.

We've been using Hopewell Vet group since the early 90s . Even though we've moved 25-30 min away, we still come!

Wonderful group, been going there for over 50 years

I've been taking my yellow labrador retriever named Prince to Hopewell Veterinary Group for 13 years. All of the doctors are great. Over the last six months, during my dog's decline, Dr. Rich was treating Prince. Dr. Rich did an incredible job identifying the root cause of my dog's decline due to a neurological issue and was very transparent on the medical options and treatments. We had to put our dog down on January 11th, 2021, and Dr. Rich was there with our family through the process. Thank you for being such a caring doctor and there for us during our time of grief.

A low cost vet with exceptional care! I appreciate how straightforward and honest the vets are. I have had a great experience so far with them and I would reccomend to people once they start accepting new clients again.

Our 2 year old puppy was having some tummy trouble, so we needed to have her seen ASAP. HVG has open hours in the evenings so we decided to bring him there. The facility is clean, the staff were all pleasant and attentive, and we were seen within 30 minutes. The doctor was exactly what you hope to find in a veterinarian. Kind, confident, and just the right blend of professional and conversational. He diagnosed the minor GI infection, prescribed an antibiotic, and gave us instructions regarding what to watch for as the problem resolved itself. The cost was about half of what we expected to pay. I highly recommend this practice to anyone.

They are a model of what a good vet clinic should be; knowledgeable, compassionate and affordable.
We live in Manhattan and drive 75 miles to go to them. We were introduced to them by a friend and they have been our family vet ever since. Our previous dogs were already seniors when we found them, and after getting gouged for years by outrageous office visit charges, tests, medicines and unnecessary treatments we still wipe our eyes in astonishment with how reasonable they are. They never suggest anything that isn't necessary. Both of our previous dogs lived to be 15-1/2 years old each. Now we have a new puppy and would only go to another vet in an emergency.
Since they aren't paying insane rent they pass the saving onto you and their older, very experienced team of vets have seen it all, and calmly dispense wise treatment suggestions.We love them and would recommend them to everyone.

I found a dog with some unique markings. Called every veterinary office, pet store, equestrian, farm and anything you can imagine in a 35 mile radius. Hopewell Veterinary was the only one that wasn't helpful. They wouldn't even allow me to describe the dog. BTW...the dog was found a few miles from them. Don't know about you but if this is the staff they have I'm not comfortable taking my family pets to them.

I'm blown away that this place has the ratings it does. The place is a dump, the staff is miserable (mostly) and the doc that consulted me literally gave me nothing to walk away with in regards to advice or a solution to my dog's allergic reaction. I was told to just "try different food" and had to twist his arm just to write some information down. I still have no idea what to look for in different foods and where to even start. On top of that, when I was given an ointment for my dog's ears I noticed he had blood in his stool the next day suddenly. After verifying this was a side effect by reading the box we had called the vet back to ask for advice and they had no clue it was even a side effect. It took 2 vets to read the box to finally agree with us... In short, this place is a terribly run business that is not focused on driving positive results in your pet. I highly recommend going elsewhere.

Love this place. I have a puppy that I rescued around the holidays and I'm a single mom of four. This pup had a missing back leg and need help I did what could do until I had money and when he went I was so scared I couldn't afford to keep or help this pup. Well his leg was fine and the cost was $79.00 he got deworming his visit and meds. Trupper is doing well now we are just waiting to see how much it will be for a prosthetic leg on his next visit in a week.

This has been my vet for over 10 years. I'm extremely lucky because they are no longer accepting new clients. They don't price gouge and they really have the animal's best interest at heart. They literally have the best doctors and friendly receptionists.

Great vets. No nonsense and frank discussions about your pet's health. (Update: they're not taking new clients--no idea when this will change.)

Wonderful place!! Great veterinarians, all very caring and knowledgeable...and their their prices are more than reasonable. We have been taking our labrador retrievers here for years...anything from check ups, shots and diagnostics. These folks have a great business, and they are all seriously in it for the animals. I can't say enough about how much we love and trust all the docs in this veterinary practice. Try them just once and you will be back. If your pet's health and well being is foremost in your mind, this is the place to visit!

Been using HV for around 20 years. All of our many pets have received top notch care there. We now drive a great distance to go there but it's well worth it.

A wonderful, very reasonably priced veterinarian. I have been taking my dogs to them for years and they always take whatever time is needed with us and the dog, we never felt rushed. As a general veterinarian, they are great! If you need a specialist, they will give you some very trusted recommendations in whatever area you are living in. Open hours are very convenient however, they tend to get very crowded especially in the summer months so be prepared to wait. Appointments do not cost any more than the open hours so if you can go that route it is probably better but either way, your pet will have first class care.
