Cool place with lots of equipment for avid photographer or videographer in all of us. Staff is friendly and great as well.

I have ordered photos from Photoworks twice in the last year. Both sets have come out beautiful- exactly as I wanted! The quality is perfect, the ordering online is a piece of cake, the price is right and the timing of their service is appropriate. They also have a fantastic variety of size options, matte or glossy, and border options. I would definitely recommend getting prints here!

TERRIBLE!!! film development, prints and enlargements. I decided to have my negative developed and scanned at another film lab, and whenever I brought them perfectly exposed images for their enlargement service they changed the density and the prints were a waste of money. The enlargements were either over exposed or underexposed and grainy. I gave them perfectly exposed JPEG files and what you give them is not what they will print. If you complain about it they will blame the exposure on you the photographer or they will make up a COCKA MAMI STORY about the quality of water all of a sudden changing in the San Fernando Valley.

RESPONSE TO OWNERS/MANAGEMENTs RESPONSE:
I have already tried your COLOR image development, prints and enlargement service SEVERAL TIMES over a period of a YEAR. I highly doubt that the water at your San Fernando Lab has anything to do with the DENSITY CHANGES of your print service. IT IS CLEARLY OPERATOR ERROR. Do I have STUPID written on my forehead?

We went there for passport photographs of my husband and kid.Very helpful staff. They have all the camera stuff you need under one roof. Cameras , chargers , tripods , bags you name it and you get it !

Never had a bad experience here, always helpful and friendly. On multiple occasions Brian, even let me put on lenses and other accessories on my camera, to make sure they work. Even at one point he cleaned my camera at no charge. Love this place!

My "go to" camera store 4 any type of photography/video equip & "supplies"...great knowledgable & courteous staff...been their customer over 30yrs, since "the days of 35mm",

I had been searching high and low for a V90 rated SD card for my new camera. BestBuy, Frys, Staples, OfficeDepot, Target, Walmart, and even more obscure retailers either did not stock SD cards anywhere near that rating, or were out of stock "within 250 miles" meaning pickup would be impossible. Time was an important factor, and I needed the card sooner rather than later. I called Hooper, and my god they have the cards in stock and in a variety of flavors! I don't remember who I spoke to on the phone, but they were friendly, knowledgeable and happy to help me come to a purchasing decision. Icing on the cake? The price Hooper charges for these cards is beyond reasonable in my eyes; they could charge more and still be the best price anywhere around... even beating ONLINE prices! I am a first time customer who will be back again and again. Happy to support a long time local business like Hooper! My grandfather trusted Hooper for all his photography wants and needs, and I am so happy to finally have a camera of my own so I can take advantage of a great local spot like Hooper! Thank you!

It is difficult at best to find a "camera store" these days, let alone one with great customer service. Staff was very friendly & helpful and it was well worth the drive out of our way to get there as we are near the beach. So happy to see stores like this continue to service the community of Amateurs and Pros alike !

Hooper Camera is a local, full-service, camera shop targeting a range from beginners through serious amateurs and part-time pros.

As such they provide:
1) A good range of cameras and accessories in stock and available for out-of-the-box inspection and comparison;
2) Special orders if you know what you want and it is not in stock;
3) Consultation and advice from a knowledgeable staff.

Pricing is generally competitive with on-line sites -- perhaps not the bottom price for an item, but not an unreasonable one.

I value that, if I have an immediate need, they can usually come up with a solution,.

In addition to regular open houses I like to do virtual open houses for my home listings. I recently added this to my repertoire and needed a stabilizer for a better viewing experience. I was on my way to Best Buy but then realized I should support a local business. I called Hooper Camera and they happened to have a stabilizer in stock. I was able to get it faster than Amazon (just in time for the open house) and the price was similar to Amazon as well. It makes me feel great to support a local business. I highly recommend this shop. Currently they are closed temporarily in store, but they are filling phone and web orders. In addition to camera and video supplies, they have lighting kits and other things for converting regular photographs and videos to digital media. They are a wealth of knowledge and I highly recommend anyone to this store.

I used to visit them for different photo needs in Chatsworth. They were always very helpful & had the best advice. Unfortunately, they closed this location 2 yrs ago but just found them in Augura Hills, so I took a drive & I am pleased to know I can count with knowledgeble people regarding cameras & photo issues again.

This shop may not have everything as far as camera and equipment rentals but they have enough to set you up for a nice shoot be it a special event or a relaxing outdoor/nature photography. . I love having a go to camera store in my area. Brian and 'Jolie' are very accommodating and helpful.

Lots of items to buy and staff was knowledgeable and friendly.

I ve had a good experience any time I have gone into the store and was wondering if anyone at the store might teach camera lessons. I just bought a new camera and I really need a lesson on how to use it. If you could please let me know i would appreciate it and how i can get the help I need. If not do you know of anyone else locally that might. I only go to your store when I need something for my camera and am not familiar with any other stores except best buy. Thank you.

Really knowledgeable staff, recently bought a film camera and they were extremely helpful getting me all set up to start shooting.

Great service and hospitality at affordable prices.

Very good overall. Good camera services & dgital assistance and development of film. They work hard to make you happy. The proprietary development equipment is a little slow but gets the job done. Newer cell phones likely will work better than my 5 year old phone. I recommend Hooper of Thousand Oaks
