Went to Nashville for CMA Fest and a bachelorette party. Both trips, we ended up at Honky Tonk Central and had a great time. Great bands/music, fun atmosphere, strong drinks, and always a good time. Looking forward to returning in the near future.

Rule was to have 8. We had 10 so 2 moved to another table. Tall Mgr disallowed the move. So we asked why the other tables we saw had 10. He would not answer other than that is allowed when asked why they can have 10 but we can t we got kicked out. Do we cry ageism because we had a bunch of Doctors and nurses versus the young people that were alllowed to have 10??? Hmm who s gonna tip more? I think the tall mgr must not like to be corrected. If you are over 35 DO NOT GO HERE!

Great music, worth a visit when you're on Broadway. We hit all three floors and were impressed with all the Saturday night musicians, incredible talent. Drawback is having to wait forever for a drink; it definitely get's slammed on the weekends. That said, it's worth the wait to hear such great live music.

This place is pumping every night. I went here on a Monday night and wasn't really expecting too much. It's better then alot of places around the country on a Saturday night. Definitely head to the Honky Tonk for a good fun night.

Good bar, good atmosphere, but get rid of the weird bathroom attendants! I ve been going to the bathroom alone since I was a child. I don t need someone to hoard the soap and paper towels from me, only providing them like it s some great service.

Walking into Honky Tonk Central, all I could think...

Walking into Honky Tonk Central, all I could think was, "This is my worst nightmare." If you're not a major fan of crowds & country music, this might not be the bar for you. As my friends & I (a bachelorette party) wove our way through the first-floor throngs of people, we passed deeply accented folks wearing cowboy hats & flannel shirts, all fist-pumping to a live rendition of a VERY country song I'd never heard before. It was like a slow-motion scene from a movie, looking into all these people's eyes & seeing how much joy they felt at being there while I felt *completely the opposite.* Oh my God, it was gonna be a bad night.

But this is a four-star review, see? Which means things changed. This bar has multiple floors, & when we got to the second floor, we found things to be a lot more chill, much more our style. Did I mention that we're all Northerners? Country isn't quite our jam (why did we come to Nashville? Beats me), so we were thrilled to find that the live music on the second floor was more rock with a country twist - Tom Petty, Rolling Stones, Johnny Cash, The Eagles. The kind of music you know in your soul. We claimed a corner of the room - which wasn't nearly as busy as downstairs - where we piled our coats & got to dancing. We had a great time, & we got fairly hammered because this bar is surprisingly inexpensive.

The people-watching is great, too. The second floor was filled with all kinds of characters, & the atmosphere in the bar was friendly & low-key enough that we struck up conversations & danced with some of them. Lots of interesting folks & good tunes. But beyond all that, it was a great space for dancing & not giving a damn who else was around, the way a bachelorette party & a good vacation ought to be.

The only negative is that the top floors close earlier than the first floor, so we were all sent back downstairs at some point. My friends & I still had a bucket of beers, so we settled into that terrible downstairs crowd to finish off our drinks before heading home. While we were watching the live band, one of my friends was robbed - like, someone just pickpocketed her wallet right out of her purse. She felt it, but thought it was because the place was so busy. By the time she realized what had happened, the perpetrator was long gone. As she sobbed & I made my way to a bouncer to tell them what had happened, some guy overheard me saying what had just happened, & he passed her wallet over to me. He'd found it on the floor, minus $150 cash but with all cards & her IDs still inside. It was the best-case scenario after being robbed, to be sure, but it was a low point of our visit.

In other words: When you find yourself at Honky Tonk Central, grab a bucket of beer, head up to the second floor, prepare to dance, & don't forget to bring a very, very secure purse.

Food was yummy, entertainment was amazing. Service was good - the guy was extremely busy but conducted himself very well. Looked like they were short on staff, but we were still served well. Great vibe!!

What a fun fun place. We've just moved into our penthouse which looks down on HTC and go there almost every night. Steve Smith is awesome, his staff courteous and the food is great. You know it's a cool place when the locals go there!!!

One of the best bars in Nashville. No cover, great service, haven't heard a band here I haven't liked. Great view from the upper level balconies of the strip. Love the beer booths and tubs they have too so you dont have to fight a crowd to the bar!

Terrible bartenders. Will steal your money right from your account. Don t forget to close your tab because they will literally just charge you for whatever they feel like it and hope you don t check in the morning. Not everyone is drunk who forgets to close out. Doesn t give to the right to charge $100

Honey Tonk had been my favorite bar anytime I've been to Nashville but if you get a chance to be served by Kirk R, it'll make your experience 10 times better. He was fast, attentive, and funny. From your Ohio friends.

Well......this being my first time in Nashville I was very impressed by the quality of live music and leg kicks provided by the house bands lead vocalist. As well as the selection of brewwskis and other libations. Great band and atmosphere. When they played the timely Prince cover of purple rain it made me feel like I was back in Minneapolis breathing in that cool winter air. Will definitely visit again..... But those those bathrooms. This bar was our FIRST stop at the beginning of my bachelorette night. We stand in line calmly, waiting for one of our friends to show up. She gets there and goes under the rope and the bouncer will not let us in. I understand that she shouldn't have done that and that isn't why I gave a one star. The reason for the bad review is the way the bouncer was acting. He was calling girls in our group a "fat a**" and was sticking his chest out with so much power. I have never seen someone so arrogant in my life. Our group was split up because he did happen to let someone in. Even the manager came out and apologized. I still will not go back. It did put quite a burden on our overall night.

A fun, happening multi-level bar with live bands. It can get quite busy at times making it hard to get a drink. It's definitely one of the main bars in the downtown area to visit. You can also get a bite to eat. If it's not too packed, there are tables to sit and order food at but be fast in grabbing one.
