Awesome band during the day. So fun to be able to dance to live music starting at 10am.

We visited twice. One time the server made us keep paying for every round, while the second time they let us keep ordering until we were ready to ask for a tab.

During the paying for every round, I used a Visa gift card. I accidentally left it there, and when I went back to ask for it they said they didn't have it. Not trying to make an accusation, but it was clearly behind the bar before it disappeared. Had around $125 left on it.

A few friends, my wife, and I stopped here for a while for the 4th of July. This was probably the worst of the 5-6 places we went to. Even though one of the three bands was good, the drinks were all over priced and the employees were extremely rude. My wife and I just moved here recently, and the Tennessee DMV now gives a temporary paper license that works while you wait a month for the real license to come in. My wife (25 years old) was embarrassingly thrown out for having a paper ID.

After all of the growth and redevelopment in Nashville and especially broadway, Honky Tonk is officially the worst bar on broadway. The things that made it unique a long time ago are done infinitely better by every single bar on broadway. They have crowded balconies, now every bar has ridiculously nice rooftop views. They had 3 floors of music, now every bar does and the seating, dance floors, and acoustics are better everywhere else. The lines are still long, the drinks are still expensive, and the wait at the bar is somehow still the longest in Nashville. It seems like they ve just given up. Now it s just a dark, dirty bar.

Was kick out of the bar for taking my wife to the bathroom. Was asked leave before I know what I did. My wife was trying to plea with the bouncers because it was ridiculous a husband cannot take his wife to the bathroom. Once down the stairs the 5 3 roid monkey told my wife to shut the f up and get the f out. When I defended my wife I was shoved off the steps in a crowd, then the bouncer man handled my wife and pushed her down the stairs. What kind of bar is this? Never have I ever been treated like this for helping my wife.

The live music was great and the nachos were amazing but the service was terrible! We waited forever for the waitress to bring our check and when she finally brought it, it was the wrong check (this happened twice). The poor service really ruined our experience.

My experience with this bar was really bad. I visited for my birthday. My friend and I were in the bathroom (I was waiting for her while she used the restroom) and so my friend goes to wash her hands and I m just standing there. So they lady who works in the bathroom calls me dirty because I didn t wash my hands. Whatever though, no big deal. Just an old angry lady. Well later on we go back to the bathroom and my friend has on a body suit which buttons at the bottom kind of like a onesie for a baby. She s trying to get it buttoned for like 5 minutes so she asks me if I can help. I go in the stall for around 60 seconds to button up her bodysuit. The lady who worked in the bathroom started banging on the stall door and screaming at us like a crazy person. When we come out of the stall a security guard is waiting for us to escort us out. Well obviously we didn t understand what we did to be kicked out, so we ask the security guard why and he ignores us. We then get around to the front and we ask the guards up front why we got kicked out in a POLITE manner and they ignore us as well. They also laughed at us because my friend was really upset. Then one of the guards yells at me to step back, so I do. Well that wasn t good enough for him. He grabs my arms and pushes me to the street. Mind you I am a 5 1 120 lb small adult. This man had to have been at least 250 lbs and 6 0. I run in to a bunch of people on the sidewalk and it was actually pretty scary that security treats you this way. Needless to say this bar ruined my birthday trip. Other than that whole situation, the drinks were overpriced, the band doesn t play songs that you pay for, bartenders are rude. I just wouldn t take a chance at this bar. And it seems like other people have had the same experience. Everytime we go bar hopping on broadway, my friends and I make sure we skip this one.

Great service even when the place is packed. Three floors of live music makes for a fun time. My girlfriends and I spent the majority of our weekend here and had a blast! We will definitely be going back here.

Something that says Nashville and also fills the stomach with good food and an array of local beer. At all points of the day, there is live music, which seems to be everywhere. The music, though a little on the loud side was great for a lunch time retreat. Amazingly enough, even when I could not hear myself order, the waitress nailed it. She also had the correct order for our large group of 15 for food and the checks. Not a single mistake! I guess some superheroes wear capes and others wear Honky Tonk Central shirts

Great place for any occasion! It's always packed, especially on a holiday weekend. Great music, bar scenes, and souvenir shopping. You can rent a "bar boat" and travel up and down Broadway.

Most places were closed and we came down 4th st. Instead of 5th and we got hassled by a few homeless looking people and yelled at by one. After getting close to 5th st everything was great! Oh this was at 12:00 midnight. Just arrived and had to explore.

I may be religiously against rowdy joints such as this, but even for that this place was exclusively bad. I don't get how people can stand literally shoulder-to-shoulder crowds, but for a place with three floors (each larger than the average bar in Nashville) you'd think there'd be plenty of room to move around freely. While visiting, I had friends and family who were all the type to enjoy places like this, but even they said it was terrible. They kept complaining about how there's never a bartender that can make a decent drink or even not rip you off for it. To top it off, the bathrooms are literally covered in piss and beer.

If you're looking for a bar with room to move around, good drinks, good bartenders, good people, and good music, and overall just a good place to go... don't come here.

Over aggressive bouncers, poor discretion. 1 a.m. 9/2/17. We were watching the band on the 1st floor near the front door. Our 22 year old Son had returned from checking out some other bars. He was leaning on the garbage can near us. A bouncer told him to leave because it looked like he was falling asleep. He said that his family was here and he was fine. The bouncer grabbed him hard by the neck and arm. I immediately did what any Father would do and stepped between them. Our oldest Son also stepped in and before we knew it, all the "wanna be cop" bouncers were on us. I had a pile of them on me as I lay in the sidewalk facedown. I assumed there was Police on top of me because there was talk of handcuffs. I didn't know bouncers had the authority to handcuff. Fortunately for us there was one Police Officer there. He was very nice and loosened up the cuffs and once he realized that we were not a threat, let us go. I'm still very upset as I still have back and shoulder pain. This is in addition to losing my prescription glasses that were knocked off my face. I've read other reviews about the hostile bouncers. They definitely make situations worse, not better, like they are there for. The owner should be concerned and evaluate the security staff. I would be concerned of a law suit coming my way if I were the owner.

They wouldn t let people into the bar from our party who were over the age of 21 because they just didn t want to even though they had paid for a 900 dollar tab here. I m fine with being harsh on fakes, but that s ridiculous. The worst security staff I ve ever had to deal with.

Of all the places in Nashville this one definitely draws the rowdiest crowd. It s 3 stories and right in the middle of the strip. Depending on what you re looking for this might be your place. Two different nights visited here and both nights there were groups of people clearly well over served. I personally would skip this bar in comparison to many of the other bars in this area. The did have good live music but so does every bar in that town.

Fun, loud and open air multi-level bar. Small daytime cover. Food is mediocre, but sitting at a table near open third floor doors on a sunny, breezy Fall day listening to lively music with a cold beer was delightful. (There's great people-watching all over the street from that height!).

Honky Tonk is always fun. If you actually like to Country dance, go on a week night. It's always very busy any other time. Also, they don't play as many country songs on the upper floors, as they do the bottom floor. The bands are always very talanted!
