The library is now open for 45 min periods where everyone working or browsing from within must leave after a fixed time. Yes it s for covid 19 but it s the most spacious building in Hong Kong. This is a terrible policy that is not balancing public needs.

The exhibition hall is large in size and has a movable board. But most of them only have static paintings on display, and there is no multimedia film experience. And it was closed at 7:00, which was earlier than the library.

Designing a new type of library, the book is rich and diverse, and there are different kinds of newspapers and magazines for reading. Unfortunately, many professional reference books can only be read in the library, and can not be borrowed. Popular books are often borrowed for a long time. You should purchase more copies to cover your needs. In addition, there are too many people and foreign domestic helpers who often occupy computers to watch TV dramas. Many parents bring their children to the library, but most of them just come to play computer, walk around the hall, loudly, no. Harassment. The newly changed seats are also not very comfortable.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY THIS LIBRARY IS CLOSED DUE TO COVID WHILE RESTAURANTS, MALLS AND COWORKING REMAIN OPEN? What is the difference between library and coworking, except you have to pay for the latter?

The Hong Kong Central Library is easily accessible...

The Hong Kong Central Library is easily accessible, with multi-bus and tram direct access to the door, and close to a subway station.
There are many books in the library, divided into children and adults. There is a computer to check, and there is a special person to check. The multi-storey building is equipped with black-and-white and color photocopiers, which is easy to use and can also ask staff for help.
The library regularly has calligraphy and painting exhibitions, medical lectures, literature lectures ...
Beautiful surroundings, plenty of light and comfortable seating.
I often bring homework, and I can be busy here all day.
