My family has been a member of honeybrook since I was 2 years old (I m 18 now). We ve enjoyed the family share for the past 16 years which satisfied all 8 members of our household, but sadly we cannot say the same for this year. Despite our legacy, we have been forced to get the grab and go deluxe box share this year. Deeming the deluxe portion as meager or sparse would be an overstatement. Honeybrook claims that the deluxe box is comparable to the family share but that is far from the case. We got 2 singular REGULAR tomatoes while family share got 6 POUNDS of HEIRLOOM tomatoes. We received broccoli that was yellow, and did not receive a watermelon (whereas the family share did). Farm stand members were able to choose 12 different pieces of farm stand items whereas we received 8, and not by choice. After voicing our concerns to honeybrook staff, we were dismisses and told shares were equal. We understand that with the covid-19 crisis, social distancing is mandatory and a grab and go system must be implemented; however, if that is the case, the shares must be equal ESPECIALLY if the honeybrook staff asserts that as the case. We are very disappointed.
Friendly and local, but professional organic farm. The Basic box CSA share is generous and the veggies are so fresh and delicious - so much better than in any store. Encourages you to cook and eat more veg! Also the farm is kid friendly with wheel-able toys under a big tree and of course opportunities to pick your own and learn how veggies and fruit grow!
Wonderful staff, great veggies. A membership makes the farm's organic produce cheaper over a season than store-bought non-organic.
This will be my 8th year of membership, and I love this place more than ever. The wide range of fresh veggies has expanded my palette and kept me and my family healthy. Wonderful staff, and a big savings for groceries once the season begins, since it reduces trips to the grocery store, thereby minimizing impulse purchases.
My wife and I joined the Honey Brook CSA program this year and couldn't be more pleased! The weekly flexibility and the ability to customize our weekly produce delivered right to our door is such a blessing.
A special shout-out and thank you to Rachel, who managed to get us a box delivered at the last minute after we had accidentally postponed our weekly delivery for the week. Thank you!
They are a members only all organic community supported agriculture (CSA) farm -- one of the largest and longest running in NJ. I've been a member for over five years and have been overjoyed and grateful to participate and get to support such wonderful farmers. They grow the freshest quality produce I've ever had the pleasure to taste, and they offer pick-your-own (PYO) crops and some fruit as well. I would not hesitate to recommend buying a membership. Be sure to select an appropriate size...you get a lot for your money.
Awesome local farm that takes memberships. Super-fresh produce and pick-your-own berries, flowers, herbs and more. A great way to eat better!
Great place to visit. You have to be a member of the organization to get fruits and veggies from the farm.
We have a choice share which allows us to get the veggies we will actually eat. Loving the selection.
Absolutly loved this organic farm. Offers membership for whole season.
We visited a small farmer's market here this winter. It was splendid.
This is a wonderful concept if you are a supporter of locally grown organic produce.
Our share has improved in quantity and quality. Swapping is often more of something already in your share.
